  • What a shocker! I began cleaning the camera to prepare for Spring videos and came across some footage that I filmed a few days prior to Halloween. Today I will share with you all the wonderful colors the garden had to show.
If you are new to my channel, I will often bring you several videos a week until we get to the late summer months. Around the last part of July I have to turn my attention to my work and prepare for the holidays. This is the reason I go missing for several months.
    Enjoy!!

I'm so glad to see your garden. I've certainly missed videos. You have one of the most beautiful and interesting gardens. I'm glad you and your family are ok.

So glad to see you again! Even if you feel you haven’t given it much attention, your garden is still an absolutely beautiful space. Please don’t diminish your contributions to the garden world. I watch several garden channels, including those you mentioned, and I would say your garden is every bit as lovely as their’s.

It was so nice seeing that flashback to an autumn rich with color, as things are so bleak right now in all our gardens. Always a pleasure to get a virtual visit to Moxie Gardens.

MG Show is back!!! What a wonderful surprise to see my notification bell ringing in your video.
Thank you for the informative narrative on how the landscape sleeps and the effects (positive and negative) of plantings.
Good morning Mike to you and your family.

Its during the autumn season when you learn without a doubt if your foliage color and texture is on point .... or not. And yours is spectacular. The tiger eye behind the ice blue evergreen is just stunning

So great to have you back! The wonder if your garden is the variety of planting in such a relatively small space, including all the trees. Just wonderful. And your love of plants is infectious. But sometimes a break from gardening can be good as it will invigorate and inspire you for the coming Spring. Am very excited to follow you over the coming months and to see what works (and what doesn't always work so well, because that's how we learn!)

I don’t enjoy the squirrels either. They destroy too many things around here. I do love the bark on your tree to the right of the burning bush. What a beauty ❤
This is a refreshing video after wintry weather rolled into Texas so today’s a garden video watch day. Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for your channel! When I found you, I was so excited. There are no other channels based in NE Kansas. It's been a challenge picking the correct plants for our area. Just because things grow in full sun in Michigan, doesn't mean they will in our area. I have found out the hard way. With our below zero winters and harsh, hot, humid summers, placement is key!! Please keep posting!!

Your favorite RUclipsrs are favorites of mine also ... and I don't think they would be the least offended that you are sharing their names and quality of their channels. :-) Loads of inspiration there. Speaking of that... you have created such a gorgeous and intimate space. In addition to your sources of inspiration.. I think you have a good eye and artistic sensibility. I just love what you've done there.

Mike - so glad you are back. The Fall colors were great and your garden even looks good under snow! You've probably have said in the past but I can't remember what you do with the Koi during the Winter? Is your pond deep enough for them to survive?

3:25 an auto top-off would help with that. Set one up at the minimum desired water level where it will automatically add water as needed only if it gets to the lowest point. In this way it will not over shock the fish by larger water differences.

Two days ago our 6,000 gal pond suddenly dropped over two days by more than a foot. Yesterday was 13 degrees and we are watching it going down as our 25 year old koi must be dying. Something must have entered the pond because pumps are off and only a heater for a hole is running. Yet, it is behind deer fence. This is hard!

Your garden is so beautiful! Are you concerned that chemical runoff from your neighbors' lawns could affect your koi?

    • @moxiegardens8033
      @moxiegardens8033  5 месяцев назад

Thank you!! I'm not worried at all. The pond is a little over a foot higher than ground level. Plenty high enough for water to run away rather than in. Great question!
