You’ve got the “eye” of a true gardener…..You go by your gifted instinct, you have a vision when you start, and go by what pleases you, and willing to “change” the plan as you go. Gardening is a sweet journey. 🌷🌻🌷Thanks for bringing us along, from a fellow gardener who, because of age, has had to step back a lot 😢 but in spirit I’m right with you.😊🌻🌷
I never comment on anything but I just have to this time. I love watching your videos. I find them so inspiring. I have gotten so many ideas from you. I garden in zone 5a and have a limited budget, so I really love how you make magic without spending a ton. I learned not to be afraid to move plants around, I learned to use old hoses as drip lines. I have learned to combine vision, imagination, and patience. I watch your videos over and over, and I just wanted you to know. Thanks.
I just love your show...you have such a natural gift for putting the varieties together and everything looks great! Can't wait to see what you've done each week. You're also teaching me to just focus on one little area at a time...I get overwhelmed with what needs to be done in my garden so I just keep your moxie in mind...thank you!🌿
From a viewer's perspective, you've got to have the most beautiful and unique landscape in your entire city. It's absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing your garden design ideas with us. ~Margie🤗🐞🐝🪴
I break my yard down in zones, each day I work a zone complete with any planting, maintenance, deadheading, weeding, watering then cleanup. This helps me keep on top of any work without feeling overwhelmed.
I love the whimsy in your garden. So many great ideas. You need to purchase yourself a 3 inch auger bit. They’re made for using with a drill and planting. That’s how I do all mine. So much faster. You will be amazed. And they’re very economical.
First time viewer and I loved your eclectic garden. One thought though, the ostrich ferns will take over your other plants, they are very prolific. I have had to pull mine out for a another area of my garden. I like the idea of a fern, so a smaller variety would highlight the other plants.
Wow. Just wow. This is definitely RUclips worthy!!! You should rent your yard out for wedding shoots! Absolutely breathtaking, your wife must be thrilled. 😊
Truely love what your doing. Ever think about using morning glories or four o'clocks anywhere in the garden? Spent day looking at flowers and plants and some great ideas floating around! Keep up the great work!
I just wanted to say WOW! I'm now going back to the beginning of your page to watch them all. From what I saw in this video your garden is going to be AMAZING! Thank you for sharing, now to spend the day gardening with you. See ya next time.
I'm from Pennsylvania and I have 30 gardens at memorial Park and I've been doing 18 to 20 years I love the way you arranged all your plants give me so many good ideas thank you I got to get egg yolk and water I use on my hostas keep the deer way out there so talk to you later thank you bye
Thanks for sharing your garden. I find some difficulty with sun and then shade when the tree is fully leafed out in our front yard. And WOW those coleus are beautfiul!!
Beautiful gardens! Shade plants are my favorites. I'm in a similar zone (St. Louis, 6b) and my ostrich ferns have spread but not aggressively. They also haven't reached 3' high yet. They are irrigated but probably would prefer even more water. I love all your heuchera! I've given up on them and now just admire them in other people's gardens.
Mike! It's so gorgeous! Love your garden so much!!! Thank you for sharing! I'm sure it is a pain to lug a camera around while your gardening, but I'm so glad you do. So inspiring!
Yes tired of the wind here in Ks. I’m so ready to plant my annuals but we keep having these cold nights dropping. I fried 2 flats of sun patiens, that came from family tree place. This is a great inspiration video, gave me lots of great ideas. Love all the pops of color. What are those narrow arborvitae’s, 3 of them by the moon gate?? Degroot maybe. I lost so many conifers from our dry cold winter. Also, trying to find forever Goldie arborvitae locally but tough to find. 😊 Thanks for doing these videos, ya know your garden design is at the top of the list here on RUclips.
Looks so good! and I need to concentrate on one area at a time as well, i go back thru my flower beds and the ink, oh should have put this here or there. Everything is just beautiful; you have a great eye of putting plants in order and make other things pop. love love your videos. love all the wood and rock. and isn't it funny how you know where different ones come from, Genie : )
Loved this from start to finish. You certainly don’t waste a moment on your days off Mike 😊 I’m off outside for a bit now, you’ve inspired me. By the way I have the Sterling Silver Brunnera and you will not be disappointed. Also about to plant 3 different varieties of Ajuga which I’ve never had before. So many great ideas. I love Coleus but my snails and slugs do too. Might give them another try. Thanks for sharing ❤
Hello from New Zealand 🙌 I subscribed immediately after watching how you garden, because that is exactly how I would do things too. I was so drawn in and felt right at home listening to why you do things the way you do. Even those birdhouses! Your selection of plants are my favourites too! Can't wait to see how your garden evolves during the months to come. Cheers, Jen. 😊🌻🌷🌱🌴🌾🌹🐝🐞🐦
I am amazed at what you are doing in your backyard. I certainly wish mine looked like yours. Two questions: 1. What did you use for the whimsical pathway that you changed today? 2. Where did you get the obelisks that are in your two pots? Thank you so much!
I’m so happy to have found your channel- we have very similar gardening styles - if you lived nearby we would definitely share plants, rocks and ground covers- I have a boy dog- I’m so jealous watching you plant your annuals - I have to do a lot of containers 🐶🤦🏽♀️
Love the natural feel you've created! I used to have ajuga at my old house but it became invasive, smothering other plants and getting into the grass. Have you had that problem at all with yours? I love the look of it but I'm a little afraid to try it again. Stephanie NJ zone 7a
Love your vision and style! Truly Inspirational! Have you found the ferns will take sun? Are those evergreen? I really want to work ferns in but afraid they will fry in the summer. Thanks for sharing your art
Just take an old water hose, lay out where desired and then use a drill bit of choice to puncture holes where you want the water to drip. Be sure to cap off the end of the hose. Thanks for watching.
Looks like some awesome Coleus varieties at Wal-mart this year. Those will look stunning in mass. Do you use any fertilizer at all? I found an incredible piece of drift wood at a garage sale for $5 this weekend i'm so stoked! Your video is a great way to start my week.
Do you just call it moon gate because that's your preference ? This is the 2nd video I've watched of yours and just subbed. The gate is actually a stargate - I really enjoyed that show and I love yours. I told my son I need one of those so we'll see what happens. It is a special part of the garden and yours is very unique and fun.
Your landscaping is outstanding!!!! I love watching your channel! I'm binge watching! BUT, I almost cried tears of heartache when I saw in one of your videos you were raking up the leaves and bagging them!!!!!!!! WHAT??? WHY???? would you do that? (I hope you have a compost pile somewhere that we haven't seen.) Otherwise, just beautiful, beautiful landscaping.
When I purchased my home 5 years ago there were approximately 30 rabbits hanging out and eating whatever they could find. I didn’t know what they preferred to eat, so I put my beautiful plants out to spruce up my new digs. After 3 wonderful days they decimated every plant. They started eating at the top of each plant ate them down to soil level. There are 2-3 rabbits still waiting. I did not trap so kill them. I closed off the underground openings and did not plant anything again. They love to eat coleus plants a lot. Chrysanthemums and marigolds not so much. Plants with a fragrance are not a preference for them. I’m in the high desert of California. Which plants are rabbit proof? I’m desperate. I’ve put artificial plants out so that we have something in the garden. Please give me some ideas. Than you
Yes God gave us beautiful people who have given us beautiful plants to enjoy in our gardens!!

I need to do that because I am all over the place in the yard.

Me, too! I must have ADD… Going to try this method and see if it helps.
That’s a great idea Sandra Grimes!
I will using your advice, thank you

Love your style!! ❤️ So happy to see your videos again!
Gorgeous plant selection, proving you don't need flowers for lots of color in our gardens.
Amazing job Mike 🥰 everything looks gorgeous 🥰

Love the selection of plants and placement. Could you give me more information on the water hose. TIA
Just take an old water hose, lay out where desired and then use a drill bit of choice to puncture holes where you want the water to drip. Be sure to cap off the end of the hose. Thanks for watching.

Love love videos ideas wow ❤❤
Nice job👍
Could you please give us an idea what you spend on average for your plants in a given season? You appear to do shopping much like I do.
The lime green bush in the side yard, is it a sun king Aurelia? If not what is it? Love what you did in this video!
Epimedium would be nice in the stone/heuchera area…

Thank you for watching. Google moon gate. This may help.
@@moxiegardens8033 I did and I love the idea. Have you googled stargate ? 😀
Plz plz plz could you tell where you purchased your moon gate arbor. I have been looking but haven’t quit found what I want until now. Thank you.
My brother and I made it.
Where did you get that beautiful moon gate?
My brother and I made it. Thanks for watching.
