One of the best parts of this is that Amber's chosen psychologist couldn't defend Amber without "refreshing her memory" by looking at notes she took up to the witness stand, but she testified with minimal to no hesitation that Johnny had sustained abuse without looking at anything. It just goes to show how probable it was that the alleged notes were scripted rather than real observations.

It really feels like I'm listening to an audio book more than a witness testimony.
It's common for victims of violence to hyper focus on meaningless details about their surroundings, so while i don't believe anything coming out of Amber's mouth, she probably googled that part and decided to add it to her script
I love how she just gives it all way. Tramatic experience is burned into your memory. Saying things like "uh, uhm" and just typical none answering is pychology 101 telling you that they are stalling.
This trial has been one of the most entertaining things I have seen in the mainstream media in a LONG time. The circumstances may be unfortunate, but I hope people will remember this trial.
You beat me to it. Honestly it would’ve been so funny if like, an echo of that recording just started playing in the courtroom at that exact moment hahaha
@Vololdenko I'd like to elaborate on the definition of punching by saying that it's more associated with striking someone with a closed fist. It's kind of like the "hand striking" you mention, just specifically with a fist. Hitting, like the other person mentioned, is the same level of violence but more broad. So, hitting could mean punching, slapping, or striking with a tool. That being said, as a native English speaker that's what makes the phrase, "I didn't punch you; I hit you," sound funny to me. They mean almost the same thing.
Wow the difference between Johnny's psychologist and Amber's 'psychologist' really highlights the difference in sides of this case. Johnny's psychologist was so professional and sure of the FACTS, unlike Amber's who couldn't even remember the fake script she had right in front of her face. It's sickening that Johnny has to go through this in order to clear his name 💔 Amber should face prison for what she's lied about, I hope Johnny recovers in time 🙏🏻
Best part about this whole thing, is that “expert” giving her testimony, was found to have never met Johnny Depp and her entire report was biased. How she is allowed to carry on her profession is beyond me
Toxic femininity. "Believe all women". People have just believed her because of the subject matter she deals with. This exposes that and puches a hole right through it. This psychologist is full of shit, sexist, and clearly biased. I think one of the biggest things we can take away from this is to NOT BELIEVE all women. Find the facts, then follow the facts. No more of this woke "oh all women always tell the truth" bullshit, because it's clearly bullshit. -false rape claim victim
1:35. I swear I just chuckled hard in my belly. Seriously, I've never seen a team of lawyers so confident in their case. Johnny Depp hired the right people and they are rock stars.
Amber showed that she's a C rate actor even when there's a lot at stake. Even if John gets NO money he accomplished what he needed. Cleared his name and everyone loves him.
JD attorney: You can't testify that Johnny Depp was not an abuse victim can you? AH witness: On the contrary, I can testify that Johnny Depp was an abuse victim. JD attorney: Oh ok. I'll take that.
I see people keep saying this. The question was regarding abuse, not abuse from a specific person. The testimony doesn't necessarily incriminate Amber.
If you pause exactly at 4:35, this frame is the perfect representation of this whole case: Ben Chew looking confused af, Johnny laughing at the absurdity, Camille Vasquez facepalming, and Rebecca MacDowell Lecaroz covering her mouth in disbelief of what is happening....

I'd really like to take a moment to thank Andrew for making all these hilarious clips. For someone like me who is interested in the case but can't watch it constantly, Andrew is doing great work and I'm sincerely grateful Keep the good work dude
Thing is, You probably get only a very one sided point of view on the trial, because most of what amber describes is cut , which leaves you only rooting for one side of the case instead of hearing both sides of the tale and making up your own opinion on the case
It’s so funny seeing Amber and her team have to reach for so many things because they have no actual proof. The Jar, the Muffins, and now a “dirty carpet.” Can’t wait until next time where she brings up a smudged window which must mean he round houses her daily. Such a joke
Yeah, you can really see that she's not teling he truth. Her acting is terrible. When she talks about Johnny 'abusing' her, she just talks so loudly and shakes her head violently and uses this weird voice that actors use in films while acting sad and broken. Like you can clearly see and hear that she's acting and not talking like a normal person in real life would. On the other hand, Johnny always seems natural and honest while talking.
Wait a minute, she said "My ex-husband is suing me for an op-ed that I wrote" Wasn't a big part of her...attempted at a defense...that there was no proof she wrote it and then she just out and said it?
@Cipheiz I wonder if that would also imply perjury if she or her council ever specifically said that she did not write the article (as opposed to implying it throughout their defense without explicitly saying it)
Go watch the behavioral arts channel and it proves her story doesn't work lol. Law and lumber too theres actually a knife on the bed of the photo she took, it debunks her story of his book cracking the wood!
She's probably thinking day and night "why tf didn't we hire this gorgeous, highly educated and experienced doctor, that can actually remember what she was doing and handles taking the stand (and even cross) like a champ, named Dr. Curry". Must be frustrating as a legal team to see the others expert witness actually being useful...
I actually felt bad for Turd's lawyer. Despite how it appears at this trial, she's actually an accomplished lawyer. Her downfall was believing everything Turd said then finding out in trial how it was all a lie. Had she known the truth up front, I doubt she would have touched this case.
She demonstrated poor judgement in taking such a weak case, and having so little to use for defense, requiring hurting her reputation. I wouldn't doubt she actually is competent, but not much you can do when you have nothing to work with.
She knew I am telling you for sure !! She was with turd in the UK trial hanging around with her , and the truth about tha .99 cents Lawyer is coming out too , she is a corrupted lawyer , she is been using all her Expert witnesses like this Woman , Dr Spigel , the Surgeon Expert , the forensic for the pictures all those have worked for Elaine for Years !! 👿💩 Just look at her behavior!!

Saul Goodman would win, Amber or not. And the show would still be good. Maybe even better. I think they should consider an episode or a mini series with a similar trial for Better Call Saul.
Amber Heard remembers pirates of the Caribbean very differently than I do: “I got a jar of cocaine, I got a jar of cocaine, and guess what’s inside it?”
They make being a witness seem so tense and hyper in movies and tv shows but in real life it seems like the most annoying thing cause u cant say a sentence without be objected
You never watched a Law & Order series or spin-off (SVU) then because that's exactly what happens every single time.. i mean it's not a constant objection but the opponents lawyer always interrupts the answers as soon as the sentence will start turning from useful for him to useful for the other
Most people after getting domestically abused: Wow, that hurt. I am terrified and scared. Amber Heard after getting “hit”: Wow, this carpet needs a good scrubbing. How did we let it get so dirty?
The trial somehow keeps degrading in terms of functionality to the point where we don't know what to expect. At the same time, it makes Depp look even better that he can embrace this chaos. Simply amazing.

keep 'em coming Andrew! for those of us who work long hours and can't keep up with the whole case these compilations are great to watch on a smoke break.
I seriously doubt that an actor of Johnny Depp's caliber would keep a "filthy carpet". Johnny has many people that come in to clean his homes, amongst other duties. That statement about his carpet being dirty is a huge obvious lie. Try again, Amber!!!
She’s trying to sell her narrative by adding tons of useless details, people who are trying to deceive usually do this to convince people they’re telling the truth, obviously if she remembers these details it must have happened, right? Plus she said she felt embarassed she would have hit her in front of all these people. If he did hit her hard enough to topple her over on the floor, her fight or flight instinct should have kicked in and her brain would have had a single thing going through it,”BE SAFE”,not “ oh my god he hit me in front of all these people,so embarrassing”
She's been ousted as literally copying some quotes from movies and novels verbatim like its a script. I wouldn't be surprised if that was one because SHE IS REHEARSING LINES OF A DOMESTOC ABUSE VICTIM its honestly crazy.
Never mind the carpet but when she said he SA her with a broken bottle the first thing I thought was why the hell didn't she go to the hospital if that really happened. She is such a liar
@@deathkorpswatchmaster2414 also she’s a really bad actress if that’s her rendition of a stressed out, traumatized person reliving those moments. She’s using her mouth muscles to mimic sadness, therefore tensing her face, while in sadness it’s the face muscles that relax and make the corners of the mouth droop down. The way she’s doing it gives away the fact that she’s faking this emotion. Also her breathing and pacing while telling these supposed abuse stories is all wrong for someone who actually lived through it. Usually people who recount abuse stories tend to blurt them out as fast as possible and In a lower tone cause they don’t want to go back to that place in their head, while she’s taking her time and almost shouting those, with a very deep breath before each sentence, while the correct breathing pattern for someone with the emotions she’s trying to convey is a shaky, fast one.

An "op-ed" just means it is an opinion piece. Nobody is contesting that she wrote the op-ed. What is contested is the validity of it as well as the impact it had on Depp.
I love how Amber has such an ego that even when she is making up all these lies she has to make sure to portray herself as a young and innocent, brave, heroic, caring, and super talented woman just trying to defend her sister and Johnnys kids from Johnny.

@@lilIAN97huh I think that was different in tone. I don't think she was "threatening" them, but rather, warn them that, at that pace, they wouldn't be able to present their full case (cause the trial was moving rather slow). It seems pretty stupid to allow the memory of what a paper says, but disallow what the paper actually says. I don't care about "why" it is that way, there is no way that actually helps the jury come to the truth of the matter.
@@LowJSamuel I think I figured out the why, and I think that in principle the logic is sound. The idea is that you should be testifying about your experiences and what you know. When a witness is reading off a piece of paper, you run the risk that the person is what someone else is forcing them to say, either via threats or whatever. Basically think of it this way: Imagine a group of gangsters commit a crime, and they pay off a witness to lie to court, if the witness was able to just read off from a piece of paper, then the witness could just read off the bs from the paper and pass it off as their own testimony. That's why whenever the doctor read from her notes, they would object with "hearsay". Now theoretically those gangsters could force the witness to memorize the testimony, however at this point the witness' testimony is at the mercy of what the witness can physically remember from a rehearsal, and especially when the witness is put on cross examination, a "witness" who is just relaying what he has been told is far more likely to flub and say something that contradicts the narrative they're trying to spin - thus revealing that the testimony is a farce. Much harder to do when the witness has a massive well prepared cheat sheet. Of course the downside of all this is you have cases like this doctor where good faith note taking becomes a nightmare and a half to testify with.
@@g0stn0te except, she WAS using it, just in a very bizarre manner that was allowed as opposed to just reading straight from the notes. Please dont try to be condescending if you arent going to say anything of value
Her acting skills are beyond our scope of understanding, all the faces, all the umms, all the ''perfect'' recollection... Stunning performance, literally
A lot of people are mentioning Amber talking about the carpet and the bee. However, did anyone catch the similarity in her testimony and Johnny's about their reaction to an abusive action? Johnny mentioned he Laughed when he saw the picture of her poop on the bed. She then states that she Laughed when she was first slapped across the face. No one laughs at being slapped across the face suddenly without any warning as she says that it happened. Normal reactions would be stunned in shock, anger, fear. Laughter is not something that would be normal reaction to being struck. I feel like she's taking words he used and trying to do the same thing to gain points in sympathy. I could be reading too far into it, but seemed very odd she would use "laughed" as a reaction word towards a slap. Even if she is lying through her teeth.
She's doing it to muddle the waters. Same with her so called charity volunteering. She made it all up, because Johnny is such a huge charity giver, she needed something to try to balance it out. But supposedly volunteering in a soup kitchen when she was a teen vs Johnny giving millions to children's hospitals and more, is two different worlds. Notice how she chose to talk about "charity" work that all followed the same line: It couldn't be proven! Also, it's even more ridiculous, since the small town she grew up in 40 miles outside of Austin, TX.....only has a current population of 3,000 people. Think about that. A city that small, with a homeless population? No freakin' way! I grew up in towns the same size, and there was no such thing as a soup kitchen for the homeless. She also tries to manipulate the jury by talking nice about Depp, so she can play the "I loved him but he was abusive" card.
I wouldn't really think that laughing is an incorrect way of reacting to getting slapped, it definitely is unexpected. Firstly comes shock and confusion, then the high stress, nervousness and fear. Some people laugh from the high stress, or some from fear. It's a ridiculous reaction, but it happens! But it's still Amber who is talking about it... So she is obviously lying. Antique jar of cocaine 🤡
not really, actually. Some people laugh at the moment of shock or other inappropriate moments (like funeral, for example) and not becouse they think it's funny, it's just a reaction. But her story is sooo inconsistent and doesn't line up with any evidence at all (even with the evidence HER side provides) so I can't believe a word that leaving that woman's mouth

Isnt that a line from American Psycho? 😂😂😂
You beat me to it. Honestly it would’ve been so funny if like, an echo of that recording just started playing in the courtroom at that exact moment hahaha
@Vololdenko punching someone in this case is like a bump on the shoulder. While hitting happends to be with more excessive power.

@@deathkorpswatchmaster2414 also she’s a really bad actress if that’s her rendition of a stressed out, traumatized person reliving those moments.

Dude I wish I could "refresh my recollection" like that during exams😂😂😂
The whole "refresh my recollection" thing is infuriating, what a terrible court system
What a terrible Dr. During testimony she mentioned spending 29 hours assessing heard and couldn't even remember what she determined? 29 hours?
No it's not stupid
You can't use things that weren't entered into discovery. It's not stupid because you don't understand it.
Thanku for making this edit it cracked me up so much ..i needed this 🤣🤣😆😆that guy in the end 😭😭🤣🤣why u do doo on his bed 😆😆😆😆😂😂😂😂
100% agreed with you
not really, actually.
I do laugh when in shock. And have been accused of finding something confrontational funny... its not. I can't control it ;(
