  • Camille Vasquez and Ben Chew, members of Johnny Depp’s legal team, join TODAY live to speak out for the first time since a Virginia jury sided with Depp in his defamation battle with Amber Heard. “Johnny owned his issues," Chew says. "I think it was a sharp contrast to Ms. Heard, who the jury may have perceived that she didn't take accountability for anything.”

Amber fans: "This is a blow to women!" One of the hardest working female attorneys in the world just got promoted to managing partner in recognition of her amazing talents because of this trial. Promotions of female attorneys to partner were unheard of at one point. This case shows that the world is not only reaching an equitable state where women are being recognized for their efforts, but that they are also being held ACCOUNTABLE. That sounds like the gender equality we've been preached to about for decades, to my ears at least.

As someone who was a victim of DV, I could see right through her lies. Someone who is abused doesn't chase and taunt their abuser, they run and hide to get away from the abuse. I didn't have any reason in the beginning to believe she wasn't telling the truth. We all heard the recordings and it made perfectly clear who was the abuser in this case. In fact Johnny was the one who tried to get away while she kept coming after him and calling him names. He did what the victim does not an abuser.

I’ve heard the judge yanked Elaine’s chain and told her to stop with blaming everyone for the jury’s verdict and put it rightfully where the failure belongs…herself and her client! Amber Heard was caught in multiple lies and Elaine allowed manipulated photos to be entered into evidence. I hope the American Bar Association takes a serious look at Elaine’s conduct or, more accurately, misconduct during the trial. I thought she would walk away after the verdict, but she seems to be doubling down. I don’t think I have ever heard of a lawyer go on the talk show circuit so quickly to disparage the judge, other attorneys, Johnny Depp, and his witnesses! I've dealt with a couple of Ambers myself. The law is always in full support of their lies. The only reason JD won is because of the overwhelming evidence and because it was televised and shared on social media.
I was put in jail over lies. I was living with an Amber back in 2015. I knew she was cheating so I was waiting for her to come home from work. All my stuff was packed in the living room.
She walked in and said "what is this?" I said "I'm leaving." She started throwing my own cologne bottles at me. She threw a slipper with a hard heel at me and busted my lip,as I was just taking my things out to the car.
She ripped my shirt and threw my computer out the door. As I was grabbing the last of my things and walking out,2 sheriffs pulled up "PUT THE BAGS ON THE GROUND NOW!!"
They sat me in the back of the patrol car. I saw a female officer take pictures of the snake's thigh. I was like "why are they taking pictures of her?" Then,a male officer walks over to me and says "so,you like to hit women?"
I just put my head down, because I knew there was nothing I could do or say. It's amazing to me how women lie and people just believe them. I had to surrender my firearm and I can never own one again...over a lie.
The stupid snake messaged me over Instagram and wanted to get back with me. I told her "did you forget what you did?" And she said "that was a long time ago."
I will never understand these animals or why society supports them. "Believe all women" right?

She and her team think if more evidence was allowed in, it would have been more in her favour but I've seen myself evidence out there for his side that if allowed to be seen/heard in court it would have been more damning for her. Just two examples, the recording of Dr Kemp and nurse immediately after Johnny's finger got cut off and messages between Amber and her friends boyfriend where he offers to bring a knife he has to Amber's at a dinner that was supposed to happen at Johnny's. Look up on The umbrella Guy, I think is where I saw this one. He says it shows they could have planned to hurt him. He really got involved and friendly with some sick people and funny, none are friendly with AH anymore. All a buch of users, free loaders. Judge Nicol in the UK case retired on the 10th of May this year. I think he knew his verdict would come under severe scrutiny once the US court case concluded. As far as I know he failed to give a legal reason why he gave 'no weight' to important contemporaneous evidence, like the voice recordings where Heard clearly stated she had struck Depp, but was then trying to claim it didn't count, because she was a woman. That in itself calls into question the judgement he made.

The biggest issue was the clear conflict of interest, his son had ties to The Sun magazine, maybe you all can start some movement over there to investigate that judge for corruption.

My wife watched the 2 part docuseries about the UK trial and it was hideous. The women who worked for amber in UK were unbelievably biased.
Plus, the definition of "evidence" is hilarious. Saying that giving a deposition or testimony is "evidence" is asinine

I can tell you right now that when I first heard about this in 2016, I thought, "Yeah... I could see that. I know he does drugs and drinks, but that's seriously upsetting..." But then I heard her own audio recordings, and that's when I made the choice to support his side. Not social media or his reputation, like she keeps trying to claim.
Not a victim. If he hit her, it was part of a mutually destructive and abusive relationship that resulted in harm on both sides, but she did the bad thing by lying and trying to make herself a victim. You're not a victim if you treated him the same way you claim he treated you.

Sorry but it's Amber's girlfriend who has been doxxing Johnny all over twitter, its Amber who has been playing the victim all over again since the verdict. Sorry but they are obsessed with him, he didn't even care enough about her to show up for the verdict. You know why? Because he's already moved on with his life and its really pathetic and nauseating that Turd and her simps are still crying like babies. You lost, get the fk over it
