I personally thought her behaviour in her deposition was appalling. So arrogant and combative. Her lawyer was in the wrong for allowing her to take food into the room. Did she not realise how serious the deposition was regarding the case. On the stand she can hold her own there is no doubt about it. A true victim of DV would be terrified to give evidence. The thought of seeing their abuser is so overwhelming for them. I see a confident and controlled woman on the stand.

Everyone reacts and expresses in different ways and at different times over the course of abuse and all of this. Sometimes you get so exhausted and numb you may appear cold, indifferent or emotionless but that is only because of the abuse you've gone through and of course how it all gets hammered and beat to death even more in court. Really don't care for all these subjective interpretations of subjective experiences as if the way you or someone else judges the outward appearance of another person they don't even know and doesn't think it "fits" with the other person's personal context which you also don't know and only have as partial contexts chopped up into bits and pieces then carefully presented in court. It's really not accurate and does not indicate guilt or innocence at all. In a realtionship like this it's all sorts of back a forth, psychological dynamics etc and for people to watch this on TV and think they can judge exactly what the truth is is absolutely ridiculous.

He was the one trying to hold the door shut so she would stay out of the bathroom and leave him alone. She accuses him on this tape that he usually tries to leave to another room or leaves the house entirely when they argue and that makes him the bad guy, the "baby". He is trying to do the mature and smart thing to leave the raging animal when she starts up and she tries to abuse him even more for not staying and taking it. All of this behavior fits the diagnosis of the psychologist who gave her tests and testified that she has Borderline Personality Disorder with Histrionic behavior.

Someone is barricading themselves INSIDE in order to keep the threat outside, (NOT barricading themselves inside with someone else to prevent that someone from going outside). However, in the next part of the audio played they both talk about how Johnny was trying to get away by going into the bathroom and trying to close the door behind him and she kicking the door to open and consequently hitting him some more (By MiStAkE 🙄). I think she was prepared and intentionally used the word “barricade” to confuse the jury.

There are rumors that she's being investigated in the UK, because she testified that she'd DONATED all the divorce settlement, not PLEDGED, and the judge used that as a key piece of evidence to say that she had nothing to gain. But because she's not a British citizen, it means she would be barred from entering the country for the rest of her life. While that might sound soft, a lot of film production happens there, and if she still had a career at the end of this she wouldn't be able to take in any projects that would require her to go there.

But though there was lack of evidence they believed her (even though she later retracted that stance, the COURT was the one to bring about charges). People who knew me knew how she was and that I'd NEVER lay my hands on someone I cared about. She was the type to wail on her own head with a candle jar until she bled and then said I made her do it. So I got 5 years felony probation, because my lawyer was biased apparently, and that was 7 years ago. My life has been flipped upside down for it. I wanted to be a psychotherapist or researcher to help people, but now I work in construction. That's just how life goes I guess...

@@evangreen1950 meaning when it's fresh and recent, it's very difficult to talk without being overwhelmed by emotions. Pausing between every other word or sentence to collect themselves, unable to speak properly because they're crying or have a shaky voice, visible panic or anxiety. Overtime, resentment takes place of fear and sympathy (atleast in my case) and are able to recount with minimal emotion (unless it's a traumatic to the person that they can recount the whole thing but breakdown at the moment when it starts to get the most traumatic).

It's really hard to get perjury in a civil case but I think this would be a great way to set precedence for anyone who wants to make false abuse allegations.

The smoking gun. Not only is she admitting to hitting him, she's gas-lighting him into thinking her physical actions towards him are something other than abuse. I'm glad this trial is getting so much attention. It's shining a light on the ways women abuse men that society laughs off or tells us is something else. It's rarely physical and is mostly mental and/or emotional, but is every bit as damaging. I've been in this situation before. She tries to make him do what she wants by threatening to escalate a small disagreement into a nuclear meltdown and possible physical altercation. As a man, the best way to protect yourself in that situation is to leave. She belittles him for it but it honestly is the only way to make sure you aren't going to spend the night in jail or, worse yet, the rest of your day with your partner, who at present is acting like the world's biggest arsehole.

I just hope that the jury is taking notes like their life depends on it, like this is the most important test of their life.

Deny, deny, deny and avoid directly answering uncomfortable or damaging questions. I'm a manager and watching her reply, her facial expressions, her eyes, her body language, it reminds me so much when I'm trying to coach or question my young employees when they know they are in the wrong and trying to deny accountability. For someone trying to convince people she was the victim of abuse.. watching her in the deposition just nonchalantly eating and listening to the recording, is an insult to women who suffer/have suffered from domestic violence
I personally thought her behaviour in her deposition was appalling. So arrogant and combative. Her lawyer was in the wrong for allowing her to take food into the room. Did she not realise how serious the deposition was regarding the case.
On the stand she can hold her own there is no doubt about it. A true victim of DV would be terrified to give evidence. The thought of seeing their abuser is so overwhelming for them.

Everyone reacts and expresses in different ways and at different times over the course of abuse and all of this. Sometimes you get so exhausted and numb you may appear cold, indifferent or emotionless but that is only because of the abuse you've gone through and of course how it all gets hammered and beat to death even more in court. Really don't care for all these subjective interpretations of subjective experiences as if the way you or someone else judges the outward appearance of another person they don't even know and doesn't think it "fits" with the other person's personal context which you also don't know and only have as partial contexts chopped up into bits and pieces then carefully presented in court. It's really not accurate and does not indicate guilt or innocence at all. In a realtionship like this it's all sorts of back a forth, psychological dynamics etc and for people to watch this on TV and think they can judge exactly what the truth is is absolutely ridiculous.

She accuses him on this tape that he usually tries to leave to another room or leaves the house entirely when they argue and that makes him the bad guy, the "baby". He is trying to do the mature and smart thing to leave the raging animal when she starts up and she tries to abuse him even more for not staying and taking it. All of this behavior fits the diagnosis of the psychologist who gave her tests and testified that she has Borderline Personality Disorder with Histrionic behavior.

There are rumors that she's being investigated in the UK, because she testified that she'd DONATED all the divorce settlement, not PLEDGED, and the judge used that as a key piece of evidence to say that she had nothing to gain. But because she's not a British citizen, it means she would be barred from entering the country for the rest of her life. While that might sound soft, a lot of film production happens there, and if she still had a career at the end of this she wouldn't be able to take in any projects that would require her to go there.

People who knew me knew how she was and that I'd NEVER lay my hands on someone I cared about. She was the type to wail on her own head with a candle jar until she bled and then said I made her do it. So I got 5 years felony probation, because my lawyer was biased apparently, and that was 7 years ago. My life has been flipped upside down for it. I wanted to be a psychotherapist or researcher to help people, but now I work in construction. That's just how life goes I guess...

Pausing between every other word or sentence to collect themselves, unable to speak properly because they're crying or have a shaky voice, visible panic or anxiety. Overtime, resentment takes place of fear and sympathy (atleast in my case) and are able to recount with minimal emotion (unless it's a traumatic to the person that they can recount the whole thing but breakdown at the moment when it starts to get the most traumatic).

The smoking gun. Not only is she admitting to hitting him, she's gas-lighting him into thinking her physical actions towards him are something other than abuse. I'm glad this trial is getting so much attention. It's shining a light on the ways women abuse men that society laughs off or tells us is something else. It's rarely physical and is mostly mental and/or emotional, but is every bit as damaging. I've been in this situation before. She tries to make him do what she wants by threatening to escalate a small disagreement into a nuclear meltdown and possible physical altercation. As a man, the best way to protect yourself in that situation is to leave. She belittles him for it but it honestly is the only way to make sure you aren't going to spend the night in jail or, worse yet, the rest of your day with your partner, who at present is acting like the world's biggest arsehole.

In the recording that’s played, she can’t even admit to hitting Johnny with the door without rebutting herself immediately there after. She says “I did not mean to”, “I never did that” then turns around and says “I might’ve done that on accident” and “I’m so sorry, I did not.” She is completely incapable of taking responsibility for her actions. I just hope that the jury is taking notes like their life depends on it, like this is the most important test of their life.

Deny, deny, deny and avoid directly answering uncomfortable or damaging questions. I'm a manager and watching her reply, her facial expressions, her eyes, her body language, it reminds me so much when I'm trying to coach or question my young employees when they know they are in the wrong and trying to deny accountability. But those are young people, still learning and shaping who they are going to be. AH is already who she is going to be. A lier, a bully, an abuser. disgusting.
