So the phrase ‘chosen sister’ could be interpreted in a way that Amber is Whitney’s ‘forced’ sister, that she has to put up with.

Biggest difference between Rachel and Camilla I noticed is how they lead the answers. Rachel reaffirms with 'Is that right', there's a lot of leniency and wiggle room for her to slip up despite taking an imposing stance. It kinda worked since she seems terrified of her Elder sister too.
Camilia on the other hand was being sweet. Even to the opposing council despite having their objection overruled on every single occasion.
