@james22939 I have the Beis Mini weekender. I think $100 is kinda too much for it. Then I found a loose thread & thought, well it was only $100, if it were one of my Louis Vuitton bags I'd be pissed.
I got my daughter the one with the wide opening when she went to France. She loves it. She said the wide opening made it easy to find everything she needed. And it was big enough to hold all of her “need” items for the plane and an extra set of clothes.
I have the larger version of the black white bag (17”) and I love it. It fits under the seat easily. I can put my dslr camera travel cube at the bottom and it’s a perfect fit. It also has a zipper pocket for the battery, and a separate compartment for your laptop and iPad/kindle. I highly recommend!
I have one of those Loveook backpack with the rigid opening. The trick, I've found for packing it, pack softer stuff at the top so it will close easily and schmooshe down. JMO.
You finally reviewed my Lovevook bag! 😬 Last year I was debating between the traditional book bag styled one and a few other book bags and used your guidelines to choose this one. Been loving it for all my international travel and want to get other colors cuz there are so many! Thanks for basically confirming I picked the right affordable bag lol ❤
I have 2 of the Lovevook backpacks and love them both!! I have a 15.6" one that I use for work every day and a 17" pleather one that I use to carry my laptop when I travel. They hold so much and are so easy to carry!! After having tried so many bags, this will always be my go-to!! I love how the top opens up wide! Just put softer stuff, like a sweater, on top and it closes fine.
I love all those organization pockets. The purple one looks like it’s for a student so I’d get the white black brown one. You did such great job of finding bags that have ALL the features. Of course it costs $87 in Canada, so not a real bargain, but not bad.
I have the same Lovevook backpack you showed in purple, but in black and I love it! I'm preparing for a 5 week trip to the UK in a couple of months and I didn't think this one would work for overnight trips, so I panicked and purchased a larger Lovevook backpack with a clamshell opening. Then I thought I'd try and see if a change of clothes, which we're advised to pack in a personal item anyway just in case a checked suitcase doesn't make it onto the flight, would fit in the smaller backpack. By using a small compression cube I found I could put it on the bottom of the backpack easily and I still have room for my essentials! By the way, that tissue holder on the side really comes in handy and is a very nice addition to the backpack!
Personal item backpack mini challenge idea! Do you think you could pack one of these backpacks with items for a week or 2 week travel? I ask because I'm starting see more videos of travelers using personal item only bags due to overhead bins becoming full quickly. You are the packing QUEEN! I know you can do it!
These are way too small, being international sized. With what I packed I don’t think I could get one plus size outfit in there with my stuff. But I do pack personal item only sometimes- I have a few videos of it. They are just spirit/frontier size, not international backpack size :)
@ItsTheKellys I actually have one of these bags but the larger size. I wonder if that will make a difference. I believe the bag you reviewed was the 15inch and the larger one is the 17inch. Maybe try that one since the bags are inexpensive. I saw a different review video and someone did pack for a whole week in the 17inch. I thought of you immediately lol! 😆
@ItsTheKellys I have a Lug backpack that is extremely similar with that doctor bag opening. And while it is amazing, it was like three times the price of the Lovevook bag that I like just as much
I have 2 Lovevook backpacks. The one on the left and the clam style opening one. I just got the second one. Will use it on a future trip. The first one holds a lot. Lots of pockets.
I own the purple style one. One in navy and one in black and absolutely love them!! I traveled internationally and domestic with them and they are perfect. Can not recommend them enough. Great video 😊
I have the clamshell Lovevook in gray. I pack my Microsoft notebook, big noise canceling headphones, and a change of clothes (using compression cubes) along with travel toiletries and a tech bag in mine. I love it!
As a mature, note I did not say senior 😉, seasoned traveler I have learned how I travel, what to bring and what to leave at home, and now luckily get to 'travel often'. I just took the step into a luxury personal item and upgraded to a Monos Metro Backpack. I just traveled with it domestically and felt I finally 'pack well'. The last part is all due to this channel and giving me the pieces to have many 'Ah Ha' moments. Thank you for the variety of content you create.
I'm new to your channel, but I bought the first bag you showed in this video, last night. I'm so glad I found you because I have 2 week long trips coming up. One cold weather, one beach-y. I'm so excited to learn how to pack this bag!🎉🎉
I have the larger Lavook backpack (same as the black and white one) and I love it. It fits so much! I took it to Spain and had no issues there either. I don't love all of the shiny gold on the zippers but, that's a me thing. It fits so much and the larger one has a separate zipper that opens to the laptop section.
Same for me on the gold zippers and logo! 😂 definitely a me thing and I wish it matched the bag. Probably the only complaint I have about it but it honestly works so well and the color I picked it perfect (will be getting other colors) so I’m a convert. ❤
@@catiejohnson7910 It does! It's a 17" and I had no issues taking it to Europe. I actually didn't bring my laptop so, I used that to store a small compression cube with an extra shirt, underwear, etc. (Just in case my bag that I checked didn't make it) FYI, it actually holds more than my Bento Bag and Calpak Luka!
@@jodiroth5934 so the dr’bag opening one you have has the added zipper. I have one and I don’t think it has that. Now I’ll need to go look online. Cause that sounds awesome. Thank you
Packing is the first step. The real test is how do you feel after wearing them as a backpack for 30 min.? Does the weight distribute properly? Are the shoulder straps more comfortable on one than the other?
To be honest, if I’m wearing it as a personal item, I’m never wearing it on my back, because it’s always on my luggage with the sleeve. But my friend brought the purple one on our last trip for 11 days, and it was great!
I have 2 lovevook backpacks, one 15.6 inch and 1 14 inch. the smaller great for day trips used it twice last week. both under 25 I believe. I have 2 of the Loveook with the wide opening. I managed to get a lot of stuff in there. Didn’t use the charging thing so I can’t vouch for that. I will tell you that my lighter colored one stains very easily .
I have used the charging port. It definitely works. The water bottle pocket with the slit opening is where I keep my disinfectant wipes or tissues. I can easily pull them out of the opening. I’ve traveled multiple times with it & I’ve never had a problem with its size.
One question: I have a backpack style carry-on, 19x13 size bag that I use, I can tuck the backpack straps away. Can I use the lovevook as a personal bag? Thank you in advance
Last flight to Germany I stuffed my cheapy backpack so full, I broke the zipper so, I'm ready for something a bit more pricey. I ONLY carry a personal item when I fly. I do not use a carry on because I'm short with bad shoulders so I cannot lift into the overhead bins so everything goes into my checked bag. My seat isn't going anywhere so I can wait til the last minute to board. The purple backpack looks like it has a lot of pockets but I do not fly with a laptop. I like the idea of the wide opening one because backpacks can be so floppy. Except for the laptops, I'd carry about as much as you do (with the exception of lightweight change of clothes.) Do you think the 17" white would stow too snuggly under the seat? or in your opinion is the 15" plenty for those items?
Think of the laptop sleeve as an extra pocket if you’re not traveling with a laptop! My friend used my purple one shortly after this video was made and did exactly that :) Because you’re short, I think either would work under the seat. I like smaller bags for personal items because I’m 5’10 and need all of my leg room! Just remember, the bigger the bag, the heavier for your bad shoulders!
I have the traditional style because i am often moving from place to place and it is much easier to access. The one with the single wide opening would not work as well for me. Though that one is much more stylish! I absolutely love the Lovevook. Well made, multiple colors and sizes. Dont like the usb a connector. Thank you for a thorough review.
@ItsTheKellys will the white/black backpack fit under the seat or the overhead? It seems like it would have more room in it than the purple one. I need something like the white/black one that will also fit meds and a change of clothing just in case the luggage is late to the destination. I love the way you showed how to use them and pack them. This will be my very first time flying and I am already uneasy about it...trying to lessen my anxiety.
Great video. I wanted the Lovelook backpack for a trip but it wouldn't arrive in time so I got another backpack for my personal item. Personally I would never use a duffel or something that large for a personal item, I think it’s unnecessary for plane essentials, and only a few US airlines will accept them, whereas any international sized ones won’t.

THe first bag with the metal opening actually has 5 sizes...an 18" and the 2 sizes you talked about have "upgrades" which are SLIGHTLY bigger! Thanks for showing the quilted version, which is lighter because the metal isn't there!
Would you say the first pack is almost a "dupe" for the Beis Diaper bag? I don't have kids but I was eyeing up the diaper bag as I like the idea of the mini weekender but I prefer backpacks.
I have their original diaper bag that’s a tote, and yes it’s just a great tote with a lot of good pockets! As for their other baby stuff, I’m not familiar.
It’s through Google drive, and depending on your browser version, you may need to update it first, it works on our end :) We emailed you an excel version of it instead :)
I already have a black one like the black & white bag & love it. Many of us cannot afford the high-priced luggage you usually show. If we purchased them, we wouldn't be able to travel. Some people justify the purchase of expensive luggage by saying they will last. However, a $30 backpack will last about as long as a $200 one and if it doesn't, another $30 one still saves a lot of money. When I see a video recommending a suitcase costing several hundred dollars, I just close the video & move on.
I try to review luggage that has a lifetime warranty because I traveled with cheap bags for my first 70 countries around the world and they always broke. I had realized after all of that, I could have just gotten a decent one. That’s kind of what launched the channel. But with a backpack, I agree.
Would you rather use a cheaper backpack or more expensive? Let’s talk about it!
The best I could afford
You would think more expensive would mean better quality but that isn't always true. I still lean towards more expensive.

I’ve heard nothing but things from this brand!
