Love this bag! Headed to the web site with bank card in hand, scrolled through the colors and UGG, they don’t have black. The slate grey is a weird looking greenish grey. The other colors are levely but clash with my personal bag. Maybe they will come out with black at some point? Really nice review though - thank you!

Just got one and really liking it. They have even changed the design from this video and on mine they added back the zippers on the front (there's a top and side zipper on the front panel) for laptops. And then inside you can also access that front laptop pocket but there's no zipper it's just open. Overall great design and looking forward to not having to lug around a backpack on my next trip!

I have not travelled for 18 years and next year i am going to Alaska. I just ordered a 20 inch hardshwll suitcase. I was also more in favour of a soft suitcase. But honestly i saw pros and cons for both . The cute compact style won me over. I am amazed at how much fits in carry on only. I baught a backpack and a personal item bag and now i have to decide which will fit more and be more useful.

We are going carry on fro australia to alaska and then hawaii. 4 weeks in total. We have acess to a washing maschine the first 8 days annd in hawaii. Looking forward to travelling lite

I would rather do carry on. I use the Biaggi expandable with packing cubes and now a foldie for under the seat. If we both go we have 2 overhead carry ons and the one under the seat. Packing cubes have revolutionized my travel. Once you use what is in one, it becomes a dirty clothes cube. I can put so much into them. Now all I need is the dry bag for washing clothes and a way to dry them.

I find it easier to pack for cold somehow! Maybe because you don’t get so sweaty or maybe because you’re wearing outerwear more and don’t feel like you need as many clothing changes? Or maybe because I come from a cold climate and it’s my comfort zone.

I never understood people saying the clamshell doesn’t fit on a luggage rack. Do you all have luggage racks at home or do you pack on the floor? Last I checked, floor space is still available. Also, I never leave my suitcase open, I get what I need and close it. I don’t have a clamshell, but strongly considering one. I just got back from South Africa and was annoyed at having to dig through my luggage. We stayed at 4 hotels between JNB & CPT and I brought two pieces of luggage with me. I usually travel with a carryon or large checkin. I knew I was going to shop a lot so that’s why I brought both. This trip made me consider the clamshell, especially since I was already in the market for new luggage. I’m leaning towards Travelpro Elite.

What was the portable charger you packed? Great TB45 video. They can get heavy when packed to their capacity,which is my problem. I have the Technonaut30 and am going to Germany for Christmas hoping the 45 will cover me and not kill me!😂

For a new diver that is a LOT of dives. I assume you are PADI certified and can only go so deep. I'm a certified advanced diver, I have dived all over the world. Been in those situations with very experienced divers and also not so much. The most I've ever dived in one day was 3 dives and it was super shallow off the Florida Keys and I was trashed for the rest of the day---shallow and warm but very little time between dives, no snacks or water provided. (however it was one of the most amazing dive sites). I've also been in situations where I had to abort my dive, once because I couldn't equalize due to sinus congestion, had to spend the dive on the boat with the crew and I remember feeling humiliated but stuff happens and safety is important because even though diving has become this recreational sport that they seem to teach anyone, in fact it is a dangerous activity. I'm glad your dive guide removed you. Those leg cramps are awful aren't they. I thank you for your amazing footage of the reef. This experience is something my husband has always wanted to do. Food looks great...but I would never do more than 2 dives in one day. I applaud you for keeping up with that gruelling schedule!

I have a concern about the weight of a clamshell. I mean you can probably get super light ones if you pay a fortune, but always think they weight a lot more.

Foldie said water resistant not water proof. So light rain no big deal. It just means apply a water proof spray and you’re good.

LK, I've watched every single one of your videos and I keep re-watching them because I find you very soothing and comfortable! Lol.

I didn't see your video before purchasing and really wish I had. My difficulties are the weight and the compression system. It didnt matter if I compressed one side at a time, together like their video suggested, on the floor, on the bed, or on a table, I was often out of breath to compress it to fit under the final compression strap or with room at the top. It was my dream suitcase I saved for, especially for travel that includes multiple cities. But the struggles when its time to move isn't worth it for me.

Excellent video. I’ve been watching these Solgaard videos for months and have been intrigued by the design but the price always drove me away. I guess after watching so many videos, I started getting numerous emails with offers. Last week I finally got an offer for the Carry On Closet Lite with a price that I could justify. So, I pulled the trigger and bought it. After watching your comparison video, I think I made the right choice primarily because the clothing I generally wear these days are full length and crop leggings and lightweight tees. I think those items would work perfectly in the Wide Flow Closet since when folded they take up very little room. Thanks again for a thorough side by side comparison.

Are you washing clothes or just wearing dirty clothes multiple times? I mostly carryon only and feel as if I overpack but I generally have 1 or 2 items that I don't wear. I do workout daily and won't repeat clothes that I wear (unless they are jeans).

NOTE: The volume measures the exterior length x width x height, whereas the CAPACITY measures the INTERIOR volume. If you go on the website and compare the CAPACITY of the two bags, rather than the volume, the it says the Hybrid actually has a higher CAPACITY (29L) compared to the Classic (28L) but smaller volume (36L) than the Classic (39.9L). It actually means the Hybrid holds MORE stuff than the Classic, while taking up less room in the overhead compartment. That's why the Hybrid costs more.
