I got the matador 45L globe rider backpack for my one-bag travel. I only fly u.s. domestic so it meets my carry-on needs. I an absolutely head over heels in love with it, it was well worth the money.
Of those, I like the Matein and Lumesner best. Honourable mention goes to the Bagsmart. Quick note, the three biggest airlines in Canada have personal size dimensions of 16/17x13x6. So many (most?) of the “travel backpacks” technically don’t fit (especially in the depth dimension of 6”). That being said, I’ve travelled with 18” backpacks without issue. I will say the Lumesner is not personal size. At 20 inches tall, and 40L, it very definitely is carry-on sized. Nice backpack though, I like the features, especially tucking away the straps, but it’s just too big for my small 5’3” frame, and the airlines personal sized dimensions. The Matein seems like a nice bag, it seems quite spacious, and I really like that the straps tuck away. Biggest downside, for me, is the lack of a water bottle pocket.
@@lokicooper4690 This is so great to know! Interesting that Canada has different guidelines. I've traveled with the Lumesner and it fit great under seat, but it definitely depends on the airline. I also suspect you can stuff a bag with slightly bigger dimensions under most seats. I took the Bagsmart on a trip recently and really liked the size. It's one of the smallest of the bags I featured and it's still got a bunch of extras.

I'll have to look in to that one!
