The most practical one-bag packing video I've seen! And yes please, I'm excited to see how the Bagsmart backpack would look like packed. I have the Tomtoc one that looks just like it but I want something a little smaller.
thank you Liz!! ☺️ This is the first time I’m hearing about the Tomtoc bag, so I googled it and it looks so nice! I realized recently while browsing Reddit that I think the Amazon bags are super similar to the Aer Travel Pack (but wayyyy out of my budget lol). I’ll look into the Tomtoc features when I review the Bagsmart one!
That is such a big compliment, thank you! I've been obsessed with makeup depotting videos recently, which is kind of like packing, just in a different medium haha.
Love the part of the toiletries, I love reusing small containers I would use like hand sanitizer bottles, after they are used wash them and reuse for my liquids
I am OBSESSED with super efficient packing and swear by refillable lip gloss sized tubes for my toiletries. I get every comfort I’m used to at home, but in a tiny little pouch.
I would do that, but then I get caught into the trap of "oh, what if this happens" or "I can't leave without ___" and next thing I know, I'm bringing a full size large suitcase
I do this too, but you can usually just buy something if you *really* need it during the trip! I bring a foldable bag in case I buy a lot of stuff and want to bring 2 bags back haha
they might! You just need to pay attention that they don't go over 3 oz / 100 ml. That would be great if you need to bring something in larger quantities, like shampoo or conditioner!
I don't really wear makeup but I travel with a multi use tinted oil or blush. Use on lips, cheeks and eyes. Then small mini bottle of sunblock thats tinted. Easy thing is buy the mini bottles when u land of shampoo or hair spray and toothpaste. Go to dollar store ir drug store when u land and good to go and u use ur products b4 u go home. I like new socks and sometimes just buy a pack of socks for my family when we land.
Sure, everyone can travel with just one backpack on flight. But when the airlines impose their weight limit restriction for your one bag, then the real trouble begins. The most important criteria is to watch out for the weight and not the size of the carry-on bag 😅
The bag has to fit under the seat in front of you on Spirit/Frontier, so maximizing that space is important in my experience! Are you mostly traveling outside the US? I’ve never had someone weigh my personal item when flying Spirit/Frontier.
@@ReganShorter Yes, I always travel outside of US especially in Asia and Europe. There are some very notorious airlines that don’t care how small your bag could fit under the seat in front of you. They just wanna rip off your baggage weight and charge you a fee for anything above their 7kg for carry-on. So beware when you travel outside of the US 😅
I also take a tote bag for later or at airport i throw everything in my giant tote. I can do carry on or personal bag but I take my pillow, blanket, jacket and instead of wearing or carry i put in tote and everything fits in my tote ir b4 I board I put on jacket, blanket and roll my pillow into my carry on strap. But on plane anything I want like blanket or snacks r in my tote and easy to stuff my tote and use as leg rest. Sometimes I'll put multiple bags inside my tote for organizing. My jacket and blanket in bottom my purse on top my snack bag on 1 side and my tech bag on the other and it zips. Just enough room at the top I can still roll my pillow and put it in and zip. It wud be considered either carryon or person depending how much u put inside it. I can do that and a carry on typically. With small purse I cud for compression bags and fit my clothes in my tote bag and maybe back up pair of shoes.
I have a packable tote that I like to bring if I know I'll be shopping and need an extra bag on the way home. They are so versatile and don't take up any space! Great idea.
Toally Awesome video. I finally caved in and bought the same compession packing cubs you got. LOL. Here is a tip with your fannypack/crossbody when flying. Wear it as a fanny pack and it goes pretty much unnoticed. when in crossbody mode it draws more attendion as a second item. Thank YOU again and Happy Travels.. (new follwer here..)
Hi Regan, I would like to see a comparison video of the new Bagsmart bag to the others you own. I just returned from a 6-day trip to Los Angeles and even packing the bare minimum and using packing cubes, my 22” case felt heavy. I, like you, also brought a backpack for my laptop, cords, make-up, and toiletries. I wish I could find a way to pack lighter and use only one bag. Thanks in advance!
Just uploaded this for you here! ruclips.net/video/LuDL232LVJ4/видео.html sorry it took so long. I got super busy with work in November and didn't have time to edit it. Hope this answers any questions!
Do you have a link for the flat makeup brush holder? I've started using the method of using the products in small containers before my trips too. Takes away the fear of not having enough. Thanks for video!
It's also from Muji, but I couldn't find it on their website! But, I'll say that the pockets are too narrow to fit the handle of my foundation brush. I think it you look up something like, "makeup brush roll" you find something similar!
One thing too heatless hair styles. Protective styling or using ribb9ns or socks to style hsir or instead of styling tools take a bonnet for short trips to make ur hair last longer.
I have been looking at similar value size travel backpacks but they all do not have a hip belt which is essential if the bag is heavy. Finally decided to buy a hiking bag just because they have hip belt, sternum straps etc….
Hiking backpacks are so nice! I got an ultralight bag from Gossamer Gear and I loooooove it. It’s so comfy! But I just love how much these cheap ones hold and their clamshell style. I saw the Aer Travel Pack is similar, so I may upgrade to that one day. My partner uses a larger bag from Cotopaxi that has hip straps and he loves it! What bag did you get?
Oooh girl, you have expensive tastes with Gossamear, Aer and Cotopaxi! I went with Salomon (a French brand) Trialblazer 30l, it was recently on offer (about USD$56!) during the recent Amazon Prime Day! Super light at 1.28lbs, with sternum & hip belts!!
@@ReganShorter I bring solid products, like shampoo and shower bars, tooth tabs, deo and sun stick etc... Almost everything is available in solid form these days!

When it comes to sandals I recommend ECCO Flash Sandals. They are great to walk in (cushioned sole with arch support) but look elegant, not sporty. So I can still use them for dresses and pants without looking 100% tourist. Traveled with them in Africa and India wearing both causal and more formal clothes.
The ones that I wear the most are from Old Navy (Square Neck Athletic Dress)... I'm actually wearing it in this video 🤭. I also like the everyday dress from Outdoor Voices, but it has a more athletic look. I also have one from Halara that I like, but the skirt is a little shorter than I prefer.
This video is soo good - only I really want to pack for a long time 😢 or want to travel with backpack luggage and a suitcase (I don’t have constant home) it is really hard when it’s cold and you love to buy stuff 😂 I dust wish that someone will figure that out for me
If you do laundry, you could travel indefinitely! I love traveling with a small suitcase and a backpack, too. I usually don't buy trinkets or souvenirs, but it's something you could mail home or to family if it doesn't fit in your bags.
That’s a great idea! I pretty much only wear workout dresses and tops, so they don’t get very wrinkled. But in a pinch, I would iron them (staying with friends or at a hotel) or just hang them while I shower to steam them. Edit to add: I did one bag for a wedding this summer and I ironed my dress at the hotel. I had to ask the front desk for the iron, but no biggie!
It's unbelievable what you can fit into a rucksack. I would love to have someone like you when it comes to traveling with the family. You'd need a motorhome for that ;)
Full disclosure, I don't bring much medication: just one prescription in its proper container and a ziploc bag with fiber and ibuprofen pills. But, this post may be helpful for you! www.reddit.com/r/HerOneBag/comments/165bz7j/how_i_pack_my_meds/
So do I. I use a 7 day night/day pill container now, but was thinking to use those tiny Baggies to save more save more space. First personal item only flight coming up in Dec.
@@sharonbradshaw4779 Good luck with your flight! If you're not able to fit the pill container, little baggies like in that post will definitely help you save space. I'm also a big fan of just zip lock bags, because they're flexible and easy to get at the store. Just remember to bring a few extra days, just in case you need them!
You can definitely travel with one bag. People just what to want to wear different clothing every 4 hours lol. Clothing materials, and weight of them matters. I never travel with more than one bag. I have yet gone over a month of traveling. So can’t say for longer that that. But a week? Is pretty easy.
On the floor 😅. I’m half kidding, but if I can’t do laundry before I pack again and I have a mix of clean/dirty, I just put them in a plastic bag from the grocery store. I would still fold them so they’re flat, and just place the bag on top of the packing cube in my bag.
I haven't worn a real bra in years 😅. I usually bring 2-3 sports bras and cakes covers. But a lot of my clothes have a bra built in because I usually wear athleisure! I wear my larger shoes on the plane and then will sometimes pack sandals. The bottom of the bag has a small compartment for shoes. If you're one bagging though, you've gotta make sacrifices for space!

That tip about about bottle size on shorter trips was really good. I will use that someday.

I watch 20+ minute depotting videos for makeup, so I get it 😂
FYI, I have never had an issue with having a fanny pack/bum bag on while flying, as long as it stays on the waist, and not taken off. Great video!
Same! I’ve never had any issues with it, but I’ve read about other people getting called out 🥲
