    Nice to see someone who uses things most people can afford. 300$ backpacks, expensive packing cubes, tech pouches. I guess they push those expensive items, and they may be better quality if you can afford them, so they can earn money with the link. Thanks

    • @NomadicIslanders
      @NomadicIslanders 7 месяцев назад +12

      You can always buy the cheaper version. As a full-time traveller, I can tell you, the more expensive bags hold up a lot better. Or you’ll be buying a new bag ever 6 months which adds up! Also, your bag breaking on you on a long travel day is very annoying. But if you don’t travel often, please look for a brand you can afford. Just know it probably won’t last you for years to come because these quick and cheaply made items these days fall apart FAST

    • @SheRunTheWorld

      I completely agree! I always watch those videos and then find out it’s a $300 backpack I can’t afford and think who actually buys this???? Lol I’m all about the budget items, so I’m glad you agree! Thanks for watching :)

      It definitely depends on the bag! My mountaintop 40L was $30 and I’ve been using it since 2018!! So I definitely am not an advocate for more expensive = better. Just depends on the person & their budget/lifestyle :)

    Great advice! Also, avail yourself of pockets in jackets and coats! Slip in a tablet, a laptop, or even a compression pouch. You don't have to look like a kangaroo, but there is some valuable flight accessible storage space. 😊

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  7 месяцев назад +3

      So true actually! I’ve done that a few times when RyanAir checks my bag at the gate, I just start throwing on layers and adding things to my pockets….😂

  • @TessaOswin

    I find compression packing cube don’t particularly help me get more in my bag, however they are amazing to be able to use the rucksack as a day bag once you get there as long as you have a safe place to put them. I have a case I use for my full size toothbrush and just pack it separate from the wash bag cos I’ve broken folding ones.

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  5 месяцев назад

      I find it mostly helps with making my bag smaller, which is really nice for the budget European flights that are strict on bag dimensions!! But yes definitely nice to be able to use the bag for day use too :)

    Don't they have a weight limit? Aer Lingus limits you to 10kg

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  6 месяцев назад +1

      I believe the weight limit applies to your carry-on bag that goes in the overhead bins, which you’re right is typically 10kg. For a personal item that goes under the seat, it’s typically just dimensions- like Ryan Air shows (40x20x25cm), no weight limit

    • @SheRunTheWorld

    you can also get clear vacuum bags that actually don't need the vacuum. it compresses down even further, about 2/3 of the space, for about $10 from target.

    We bought Large-L
    I am going June 2024 to Italy France and Spain, 21 days with my family, daughter 11y, son 17y, husband and myself. We are holping we can do laundry every 7 day😂

      I did the smaller one, which is just Large. But wow that sounds like an amazing family trip! I think you’ll definitely be able to do laundry every 7 days. Enjoy your time!🤗
