Don’t do that! If your propellers are loose they will cause a resonant vibration and explode. It happens often on drones without reverse threaded motors, the nuts loosen and the props shatter. Do however keep a fire hydrant nearby, that’s always good advice! 🎯
Could it be motors desync? Maybe increase the Demag Compensator to HIGH. I was watching one of Rosser Betaflight 4.5 Tunes and Filter and he mentioned that some of the heavy 7" and up might needs higher Demag Compensator.
I guess its possible. Never had this happen before with this quad. I really think it was the battery weight causing too much force on the props coming out of a dive.
This is why I will never fly an action cam ever again unless I somehow fly drones for cash. The O3 is so close in quality and so well protected. Plus you are so much more maneuverable without the extra action cam weight and you get increased flight times. The O4 will be an absolute no brainer once that is released.
Looks like a good time with good friends. Crazy how 2 props blew at the same time. Cant say that has ever happened to me. Dosen't gopro replace the unite if you have the quick membership?
Im not sure if 2 props went at once or one hit the other after it let go. 🤷♂🤣 I don't know if I have a quick membership or just paid for ReelSteady. But the GoPro still records fine without the screen so I'm gonna run it for now. 🫡
I was gonna ask if you guys had a few fire extinguishers on board, but you just answered my question. 12:40 INTO VIDEO. Definitely recommended in a dry field like that.
I agree, too much load on the plastic props because of the battery weight. I think if they were carbon fiber props or if I had a smaller 1500mAh pack this wouldn't have happened.
The battery isn't that bad and will still charge and fly just fine. I had a battery someone ran over with their car and still worked for 4 more flights. Putting your battery on its side helps in a crash so you don't smash all the cells at once and maybe 3D print a battery protector to go on top. Yeah and replace the props on every new flight especially with a new heavy battery.
Funny story, I was flying in the Italian mountains this afternoon and I randomly lost video. Didnt have a gps, cause it was my freestyle qwad, so it crash into a tree and then into the ground from about 50m height. It crashed like 4m away from a pond😬. But everything seems to work still😂. Great video as always. But I'm wondering when you'll do a 10inch build...
Glad your quad is ok 😅. Ive been thinking about possibly Building a Cinelifter but thats quite the project and lots of money. I need to do more research.
ive never flown there but i know where you are lol. also it could of been the heat on the props with over tighting it could of been the last straw. you might of caused some crack points and then the heat on the lift of that power loop just made them crack yeah loosing it in this weather with that heat you would probably been the reason half of nine mile gets evacuated lol also the screens being broken on the g.p isnt a big deal. gopro labs should still work. it uses Q.R codes instead of manual inputs. you could do it all from your phone. my g.p.h 12 runs g.p labs i love it
I had bluetooth enabled before the screen broke. It still records fine now. If I need to change settings I just use the GoPro app and it works fine. Thankfully I don't really ever switch profiles on the camera.
Long range drones are very heavy due to the giant battery. Believe it or not THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME it’s not because of the ratchet. If you plan to freestyle with your long range setup consider these mods.. 3 blade props are stronger and spread the weight over more surface area, and the most important mod for long range.. carbon fiber props. They make them for this very reason.
What a day! I suppose resiliency and grace in the face of great loss is a must quality for an FPV pilot. Fly on brother!
Awesome vid!
I've broke a lot of drones in those trees.
Surron?
Yeah its a surron. 🤘
@andrewmedia3568
I live in spokane and I have surrons as well.
We should ride and fly.
@ im down once this crap weather is over 😒
@andrewmedia3568
I'll hit you up when the weather is better!
Always watching and liking your videos. What is the angle of the camera on the 5-inch drone?
Not exactly sure somewhere in the 15-20 degree space. I just match my fpv camera to my gopro camera angle which is fixed at 25 degrees.
Awesome video. Gotta have fun no matter what in this hobby. Stuff is gonna happen.
For sure!
Gonna go loosen my props a bit and put a fire extinguisher in my car lol. Anyway glad your title didn't turn out to be true 😉

This reminds me of my 3D heli time where I sat at the workbench after every day of flying😅. Great video, entertainment was first class. Best regards 🫡
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video! What antennas you running on your 7inch?
Thanks! They are the foxeer lolipop.
@@andrewmedia3568 Do they work well with the stock DJI Goggles 2 Antennas ? I was trying find some for my 7 inch
I feel props get old, I’ve had one blow out same way. Great video man.
Thanks 👍

@@Steezicus I feel that😅. I just like the extra dynamic range of the GoPro and Audio.
o4 won't be any soon

Yeah definitely gonna put one in my truck. 🤣
I think the battery made the drone too heavy for by props .

Was thinking about 2s and thought...I should get a fire extinguisher first
😂
I thought it was watching my steam video on my simulator!!!
The birth of the naked go pro
Honestly it was still a pretty fun day!

17:20 you need to have gopro labs installed on it first so you need the screen to work 😢

@@andrewmedia3568 oh that’s good to hear I love your flying keep it up🔥
Click bate danm algorithm got me again😢
Thats like a 80 usd battery 💀
That’s cute. post the link for that exact battery for 80 usd.
That ratchet is what broke your props 🎉
😅 Yeah probably lol.

I lost my drone 2 days ago in river((
Dang sorry to hear that.
Hum slack props
