It starts to make more sense as to why it works when you look at its stats. It's basically the same as the SL65 in this configuration (actually it's a tiny bit better in terms of power and weight) but in a less aerodynamic shape. It probably has a whole lot of weight over that front axle, so front grip shouldn't really be an issue unless the tires aren't up to the job. Main thing is keeping the rear in check, but you've got 4WD on your side. Every single hurdle seems to have a neat little shortcut; makes you wonder why the devs thought the car was so uncompetitive.

A buddy him and I know tuned a Pikes Peak Quattro to outpace even LMP’s ran by other players online. It was a hell of a time to be alive!

Yeah, for a regular playthrough, the supercharger makes way more sense. I needed to squeeze as much power out of the Ram as possible though, and the gear setup was focused on staying in high-RPM's as much as possible, so NA tuning made much more sense in this case.

I plan to do my own challenge run once I get my new PC set up, as I played GT4 many years ago as a kid and these RUclips challenge videos this year reignited a strong interest. I have a suggestion for a future video, similar to your supercar builds- 10 non-LMPs that are competitive in the GTWC, whether race cars like the Chapparal 2J/Toyota 7, or road cars like the R390 or TVR Speed 12, which other youtubers have proven to be competitive. mrxbas even proved that a maxed out FD RX7 is competitive, albeit against an extremely weak roster (with the weak CLK being the strongest). In addition to the main theme (using cars I've already owned IRL, which should do everything except Kei, Boxer, truck and GTWC) I want to shake it up with something different than the 4.5 Mil LMPs. Logically, the cheaper black cars are the way to go, but I'd like to try something unusual.

I'll probably end up making a guide for SpecDB and hybriding using GT4SaveEditor first though, because there aren't many videos demonstrating how it works currently. Any of the cars that were able to post 1:10's or lower in the supercar builds video should be capable of beating GTWC with racing tyres and brakes, with perhaps some slight suspension and gear adjustments to compensate for the extra grip and traction.

GS plugins handle the graphics output of PCSX2. Gran Turismo 4 is pretty darn intensive, so I'd steer clear of it unless your potato to be incinerated.

If you reach out to them on Twitter or join the GT Modding Discord server, you might be able to get an answer from them or other fellow modders about how feasible it'd be. I'd imagine MC3's save encryption isn't as complex as GT4's is, so perhaps it'd be possible yeah, but I don't have enough technical knowledge to say for sure.
