Probably exploiting the tyre life that the Formula GTs suck at. As long as you are really good at keeping a strong pace, youll eventually beat the Formula GTs due to needing less pit stops
@@Aurantius_with a XBOX controller so you can feather the throttle better I guess. No way I'm doing it with a PS controller, but I guess that's a limitation on me, not the game.
It’s honestly quite amazing how you can complete all of the main championships with only these five cars. Also, the AC 427 counts as a “compact” car, so it would’ve been funny to annihilate those hot hatches with that thing as a victory lap 🤣
I cannot believe how versatile the SSR turned out to be, it definitely earns MVP from me!

I had so much regret. I just wanted to try something besides a WRX.

@@JaK_nz The RUF 3400S is a pretty good alternative, much more "normal" than the 911 based models due to the engine being mounted a bit foward in comparisson, while also being much more lively than the WRXs
edit: for the challange it wouldn't work due to not being AWD, I forgot this is a challange video as I was writing this lmao

Ginetta G4 is damn good when tuned.
It is damn light and got decent power as well.
I find it a very interesting car and would love to find a reason to use it in a future event.
My problem with it is that the tires and brakes are both horrible, I love the car but it feels infuriating to get outbraked by cars that weight more than 4 times the G4

I don't think you can buy a car from the '50s in GT4 since the only two I can think of, the Citroën 2CV and the C1 Chevrolet Corvette, are exclusively prize cars. As for him calling the Saleen S7 a Jag, I suspect he mistook it for a Jaguar XJR15.

Yep I mistook the Saleen for the wrong car. I was originally going to win a American Championship to get an old convertible Corvette from the 50's but since the SSR could enter that race it was not required.

You can consider a couple of tips for the future: only driving assist that makes sense to use is 1 point tcs if you have trouble with tires spinning, otherwise go with zero for all aids. For such a low power car like the Z Act, using any level of tcs leaves performance on the table.
Also, as showcased in the incredible guides of Teakanji (go check his channel if you didn't), the "increasing rigidity" update has been proved to be only detrimental to car stability.

Thanks buddy! It did feel like the RUF would behave differently at each corner making it such a struggle to control. I am almost certain that it was sentient and wanted to murder me.

The fastest method depends on whether you have the I-B licence or not. If you don't, yeah, buying rims is fastest. If you do, you can enter a mission, start it, immediately exit, start it again, and repeat. It's very fast since it's not loading the track each time, and doesn't cost any credits.

I passed more than 365 days and at $500 a wheel that would get pretty expensive.

Insane! I just happened to scroll past this video and saw the thumbnail. I actually own this Honda car in real life, you can find videos of it on my channel 😂 here in the US, it's a Z600, and it's slower than you can possibly imagine. You turned it into a legend hahaha!

Good idea. The 2000s one is tough because of trucks but yeah the use of that one for convertible and other aspects besides just truck does make it usable in many events I didn't realise before.
I forgot the CTR is 4WD I usually think of RR for some of the RUF but forget some of them are FR or 4WD and thought a tuned Subaru.
But yeah MR/GT championship yep.
But plan B to get whatever events to make up prize money/25% indeed, selling or winning.
B spec or A spec for easy win being that powerful.
I always wonder how far the 1000 Miles can offer for compact/old car endurance events like those. In the Honda Act.
But ah the Extreme Events hmm. The real challenge. Never beat them because they are hard for me at least.
F1 (2000s? I forget if it has a year or not) yeah Nurburgring 24hr but lounge one hmm. Oh prototypes huh I thought they couldn't outbeat or event enter even. I know GT3 had the restriction GT4 doesn't hmm. Then again the lap counts too taking ages to do too. Unless forgetting.
Ah AC Cars hmm. Many times the classic supercars can make their way through past the modern ones.
I do wonder what 50s car could win in the under 70s events to be usable or compact events just to see what's possible. Hmm. Let alone if a convertible too. Hmm. What EU/US car would fit I wonder if JP if there is any as mostly compacts I think.
Yeah the 50-2000 limit is interesting but really 60-2000. I do wonder how far the 1886 ones can do hmm. Nah not much.
Finding the right compact cars or K car sized old cars is always interesting to see what gets picked, what low HP then tune it and it out beats the drock 64HP k cars in the lightweight event. XD
Let alone the compact car cup or world classics too as easy but for yhis challenge very important to decide which one to go with. Slow and tuned or fast and good for the era that work out but for AI usually used to be a challenge but through reward cars and prize money are possible.
I always get confused by the Supercar festival as it's production/unmodified (NTSC or PAL version wording besides ghe NTSC license test times too for silvers) does that mean only Tuner cars? Or tuning too?
As obviously you'd be tuning the car to reach 400+BHP on a car/truck. That requirement always confused.
Which it being like the Polyphony or the opposite to the Tuner Car Cup makds sense but the rules always confused me so I always tried yo gey the best I could.
I used a Holden one time just to see and use something different and never got in which as it's a 2000s production car makes sense besides well competition with it was a waste anyway but otherwise I usually went whatever faster cars I could. I'd have to check again to be sure why as bit fuzzy on that moment I tried it years ago.
Unless its the NTSC version or the GT4 Online build that tweaks this? As used to the PAL stock version. Doubt it was a Platinum/Greatest Hits change either.
Yeah the 200's and 90's were annoyingly limited to a truck and a 4wd boxer.

The first race with the 70's honda really gives me the PTSD from trying to play GT2 using only fiat 500 from the 70's :D. I think that i did like 20-30 races coming last until i had enough money to upgrade it to more than 30 HP

@@JaK_nz I daily drive a 07 Fiat 500 that had 75 HP from the factory 14 years ago, so I'm used to driving like an angry Italian to keep up with the traffic that gets annoyed when a little red bean insists on keeping up with them or trying to overtake them when they drive 15 kph under the speed limit :D

2:14 fyi if youre using pcsx2, push tab to up the fps and speed up the days on licenses, im not sure if its a default setting or i clicked something, but i use it to skip loading and days

I think that's a good call. I took the Minolta this time because I had no idea if the F1 race was possible at the time and wanted the best chance. After I found out how easy it was, I wish I had bought the Jag instead.
Fucken odd aye it worked so well aye, I remember getting my ass kicked as a kid having nothing but a f1 for that race so it certainly surprised me too! 8 hours of driving and 16 hours of b spec for one bloody race hahaha

Interesting fact: Shioriko Mifune's Mazda 787B, Setsuna Yuki's Minolta 88C-V or Ayumu Uehara's Sauber Mercedes C9 can easily beaten Formula GT Championship.
That's really interesting. I was so surprised when the Minolta kept up with the Formula cars as it doesn't seem like something that should happen.
What about the Toyota GT-One? Haven't tried it because holy crip on a crapple those races are FAR too damn long but if I can plonk B-Spec Bob into an upgraded le-mans car and let him KO it for me at triple speed I'd be a happy crew chief.
this video was awesome, one advice, dont ever buy the increase rigidity upgrade, it completly ruins the balance of every car.

I have learnt my lesson on save states now as well!!! The 2nd Honda act took a lot less time than the first 1 but still a couple of hours worth of entering and exiting license tests.

From my understanding as long as you don't load a savestate from before you sold a car all runs well. I generally only use them at the start of a race.

From memory, my original plan was to use a corvette from the 50's as a convertible. That all changed when I realised the SSR was eligible

@@kyrie6910 The 2cv actually looked really good on paper. Its front wheel drive and has a boxer engine that would free up the 90's slot if it could win the boxer cup. Unfortunately it was so weak that I couldn't get close to winning anything :(
@@JaK_nz even if you drew all of the weakest subarus for the boxer cup, i can't see that car finishing anywhere other than last for it. interesting to see just how far you had to dig though! I honestly didn't even know the Honda Z existed until today.

No, unlike pickup trucks, utes are a combination of pickup trucks and sedans, more to the ground, more performance and less off road and smaller, oh and the last utes to ever be made is the holden maloo, which stopped production when the holden company got shut down

I'm using an emulator. They have memory card saves and also save states. If you load a save state ay the wrong place it corrupts the save file
