    Haven’t even done a physical yet but I’m training by running outside almost every day. I go by the police department a lot and it helps give me understanding of why I’m pushing myself to be fit. I’m preparing a lot through videos, focusing on work experiences, and eating healthy.

    Passed my physical and written exam and I have my panel and chiefs interview on Monday… your videos are really helping me understand what they look for

    Did my physical and written test recently, and I was selected for an interview in the near future. Your videos have been helpful in preparation for that interview

    Do you have any tips/videos on the psych evaluation? I just passed my department interview and I have my medical this Thursday. Following that I have the psych and poly but I’m nervous for them. I’ve read online to be honest and genuine and don’t try to be “too” perfect

      Haven't done a video on the psych thing. It is really a bunch of true/false short questions. Several questions are repeated and worded differently. Don't read to much into the questions. If it says "I hear things other people don't hear", they are not talking about you being more observant it means your hearing voices. Pay attention and take your time even though it is super long.

    Iam preparing now for my oral and id like to start by saying your videos have helped so much. But Iam curious about one more thing unrelated to an interview. Is the trauma of seeing things like death able to be overcame, can you go home and put it out of your mind, laugh and enjoy things as normal? Or do you have to live with constant images in your head, nightmares and the weight of the position?

      First, congrats on the oral board and good luck. I have made a few videos on what to expect as far as what you will see and ways of dealing with it. There is a lot that goes into that answer and it is different for everyone. I'll make a new video about it soon, but in short, physical fitness, a good social support group (friends and family), and a willingness to share your feelings are the best things to reducing what you carry with you. Don't let this stop you, figure out your way of dealing with it and serve the community, the good outweighs the bad. Good luck.

    Typically how many questions are asked on the oral board interview?

    • @InPursuit360
      @InPursuit360  Год назад +1

      It varies, depends on the department. They can ask 4 or 5 questions, or some have asked up to 10 to 15. Be prepared. Good luck.
