Great timing...I was just thinking of getting a good bar mat. And now I have one of yours on the way!! Now I need to find creme de violet so I can try the Aviation. PA liquor stores don't always have everything. Cheers!
We love your cocktails but… you “the man” are the best! Also love to see the face of the second opinion, the “behind the camera” wizard . Is it Az or Oz or??
I'm here for Az's editing skills. Seriously, though, what a classy presentation, Anders; you, Az, the history lessons, the cocktails, the sound quality, the editing, the set ... all top notch. The best cocktail videos on RUclips. Perfect for me, who is relatively new to the classic cocktail experience.
I would love to see a Anders Eriksen cocktail book with all of your originals and your takes on others that you have perfected. It is you and Az we come for!!
This is a no brainer. Such a book would be a nice complement to my collection, along side Gaz Regan, Brad Parsons, Dale DeGroff, Martin Cate, Dave Wondrich, Simon Difford, and Harry Craddock. Let's add Anders Erickson to that esteemed group.
Anders fan over here! I am on a dry month(or more) and still jump in when I see your videos cause they are a ton of fun. Maybe one day I will make the drink but I know today I had a good 9 minutes.
I've been watching your videos since practically the beginning. Best cocktail channel on you tube. I can hardly believe that you have over 500K subscribers, but then it's a quality channel, so I shouldn't be surprised. You are personable and a bit humorous and completely believable. Enjoy the stories behind the drinks and that where possible you offer alternatives to certain ingredients. Keep it up.
My favourite way to have the Aviation is a la reverse Bramble - I shake the gin, lemon and maraschino, then pour the Creme de Violette in the frozen glass, and then pour the shaken cocktail on top of it. Cheers Anders and Az! 🥂
I loved your old videos as much as I love the new ones! the old ones felt more personal and like I'm in someone's home, the new ones are more laid back
To maintain the purple colour, try adding butterfly pea flowers to your gin. The gin will turn blue. The colour from the flower is ph reactive and turns purple when it contacts acid. So shake your aviation and maintain the purple colour!
I've been watching your videos for a good while now, and I have to say you make some really good content! You try new things in your cocktails along with showing some more beginner-level recipes which I really like, and you really stand out with your personality in a great way. Thank you for continuing to make these videos, keep it up!
"That'll do" is what I say to my border collies when they are through with their task. Keeva perked her ears when you said that, Anders! I've never heard of Crème de Violette. Makes a beautiful cocktail. Very nice merch!!
The old videos are good too. I learned some great cocktails and some great from you. I still go back and rewatch the Brooklyn episode when I make that cocktail.
I shake the aviation. But I first had the cocktail in a bar in chicago and the tender barely put violet in it. As a matter of fact he put a teaspoon in the glass. Swirled it around and dumped it out. Made the drink and poured it. The hue was sky blue. Delicious.
I add the creme de violette right into the glass and shake the other three ingredients for my Aviations. Makes for a rounded, airy cocktail with a beautiful color.
Anders, we love you! Your wit, the deep dive history lessons, your classy better half, your enthusiasm for classic cocktails. This channel has been an absolute treat and is one of my favorites. No fear, my dude, we love you, the cocktails are a nice bonus!! Can't wait to get some merch!!
You've honestly become my favorite cocktail channel, despite being one of the ones it took me longest to find. Great mix of classics and weird stuff. And of course my favorite, weird classics I've never heard of. Love the glass design, just a same the shipping cost is crazy to get it to me. Might see if I can get one big order and just take the hit on shipping the one time
My husband and I have an extensive home bar and have watched your channel every week since we discovered it during the pandemic. We absolutely love you and Az and Freya too and really enjoy the expert knowledge (and humor) that goes into each video. Now I really want to make the Spring Forward. I feel like you should also create one called the Fall Back - haha! I'm so excited for your new barware and absolutely love the bar mat which I will be ordering right away along with a couple of Collins glasses. Your logo is the BEST!
I found your channel by accident, and never left. I was looking for an Epicurious video (I didn't know that at the time) and when I searched, you looked like the bartender in that video...I searched your channel relentlessly and fruitlessly. I did end up finding the other video, but I've been watching your channel ever since. It's been about 2 years and I still have so much fun learning about the history of cocktails.
I am an Anders fan! I also really appreciate your presentation on the history of the classic cocktails as well as your explanations for the reasoning behind various ingredients/methods. You are my #1 cocktail info source! This new merch is very tempting...
I purchased the bar mat and coupe glass and I “LOVE” them. The glass is beautiful, perfect for a daiquiri. The bar mat is in a class all its own. This thing is massive and heavy and beautifully crafted. I love it and you will too, PROMISE.🤙🏽
I'm a big fan of everything you and Az do with your channel. I recommend it to everyone I know who enjoys a good cocktail. Nice job with new merch. And now...to the store.
I love the content as an aspiring hobbyist bartender but your personality is what makes it most interesting. Your explanations and history and all that are perfect. Or, perfect for me. The two of you are fantastic and I really enjoy what you do. I also share links to your videos quite a bit. Keep up the great work!!
I don’t like you or the cocktails, Anders. I LOVE you! You are the reason why I love mixing, cocktails, and sharing my love of it to others. There isn’t one day that goes by without me mentioning you in some way. Thank you for all that you and Az share with us. And I can’t wait to showcase your barware to my friends!
I started watching several bartending channels when I first got into the hobby. Now I don't make cocktails as often anymore but I still watch your videos cause they're so fun and entertaining!
I'm a big fan of the channel because you're fun, informative, make drinks that interest me and use techniques that can be done in the home bar. Some other drink channels lack personality or become so "high school chemistry lab"y that they become unapproachable. Keep up the good work Anders
Also, basil and strawberry is a fantastic pairing. I made a cider based on those ingredients before we went pro (give strawberry + hops a try!) And oh es on the glassware. Will definitely be getting some. Great branding, sir!
One of my favorite things to do is to have drinks with friends. I also love to try new things. I think that's why I love these videos so much. They feel like I'm having a good time drinking some great cocktails with friends that love them too. (Though, I'm not drinking while watching these videos.)
I have had a little crush on you from the first viewing. Your videos were a bright spot when I was alone at home and couldn't go sit at a bar and chat with my friends and the bartender. I enjoy your cocktail history lessons and your overall charm and joy in what you do. Cheers! ( and I am so buying the bar mat.)
Love your videos, best cocktail channel on RUclips by far! The logo on the coupe would be better on top of the base, for some reason I like the coupes with nothing on the top part since they are a little more elegant. I love the other two and will definitely get one. Thank you for the awesome videos!
Hey The Aviation and Spring Forward are huge must makes! I have never had a Spring Forward so I am really excited to try this cocktail! The Aviation is always a treat! Wonderful video Anders! Have a fabulous weekend! Cheers! 🙂
The Aviation is one of my favorite cocktails ever. The crème de violette you used is the one I used for a long time and didn’t love. The Bitter Truth’s crème de violette tastes better and, when shaken, actually gives you the sky blue color that the drink has at its best!
Its You and the Cocktails! Its also the production quality and the set and the format of your videos. I especially enjoy the Format where you Tell us the drink, the history, show the booze, the build and then you and Az try the cocktail and give your opinion!
The Aviation has become a favorite. I add 1/3 semi rich and dub it the Modern Aviation. I also shake it cause I find it fitting that an Aviation is aerated. Perfect sunset cocktail!
love that coffee Inspired cocktail!! You're Best Anders! not surprised you have over 500,000 Subscribers..& Growing! Fan since the 'beginning'!! Cheers your Bartender..'across the Border'!🙂
Love the first one! Aviation I've seen you do before. Gin and purple makes me happy but I cannot get creme de violet. I also love floral drinks. I'd love to have this one. Spring forward. Oooh yay Gin and strawberry and lemon and yes. I'd single strain bc I like strawberry bits. We love you and AZ. I'd love to have the bar mat.
Hi Anders….love your spring cocktails!…I must try the “Spring Forward “…I need all the help I can get after changing the clocks for daylight savings time!👌👌👌🙉🙉🙉…and yes I love all the wacky things you do! Happy Spring, have a wonderful weekend, and as always “CHEERS!” 🥃🍸🍹❤️😁❤️
Anders, made the Barback's Revenge with all exact ingredients, but with 3/4 oz. each Benedictine and Lustau Sherry, instead of 1.0/0.5. A little dryer, less syrupy. Really liked how refreshing it was.
I did notice the little cocktail nose! I love how simple, but elegant your logo is! Well crafted. And while I love the cocktails you craft, you're not a bad personality to watch ;) Cheers, a fan :)
I listened to this episode while driving and entirely thought that your Anders Erickson “Cocktail Glasses” were eye glasses with the bridge gap in the shape of a cocktail glass 😂 I was excited for them!
Aviation is one of my favorite drinks. I just buy the ON THE ROCKS Aviation. So much easier. Add ice and pour drink in the glass. Less than 30 seconds!
I’ve been an Anders fan and subscriber since the very early days, and it’s your quirky joy and passion that got me into cocktails! We DO like you and would rather come here to partake rather than googling some recipe. To The Bar!! 🫡
I have been making a violet infused cosmo by sneaking violets from my neighbors side lawn. Using vodka as a base for the infusion it changes color with lemon juice. Try it! I add a touch simple and Grand Marnier.
Spring has sprung. This calls for a cocktail🍸
Check out the new gear! exlsv.com/collections/anders-erickson
Didn’t it snow in Chicago today? 😊
I want the bar mat so much, but shipping to Germany is double its price (>60€) 😭😭😭
Great timing...I was just thinking of getting a good bar mat. And now I have one of yours on the way!!
Now I need to find creme de violet so I can try the Aviation. PA liquor stores don't always have everything. Cheers!
Have you ever done a taste test review of ready to drink canned cocktails? If not, could be an idea for a vid.
We love your cocktails but… you “the man” are the best! Also love to see the face of the second opinion, the “behind the camera” wizard . Is it Az or Oz or??
It's YOU Anders! Anybody can mix a drink, but there's only ONE Anders personality!
Love the cocktails, LOVE the man ❤
Totally agree. Anders for President.
Agreed. Come for the cocktails. Stay for the Anders.
I wasnt planning on having three cocktails this evening, but I have all of these ingredients so apparently the universe has spoken...
Me too!!!
I hear you brother. Have been doing so since last fall, but that doesn’t mean I can’t watch Anders and the brilliant show he does here 👍
Cheers! The list of cocktails will keep growing for when/if you find yourself mixing a drink again
Mocktailers unite! Even if I'm not imbibing I never miss an ep.
I've been watching your videos since practically the beginning. Best cocktail channel on you tube. Enjoy the stories behind the drinks and that where possible you offer alternatives to certain ingredients. Keep it up.
I was halfway through a “Babe” reference in my head when you said the word “pig”. Made my day. It’s the simple things. Thanks for what you do.
My favourite way to have the Aviation is a la reverse Bramble - I shake the gin, lemon and maraschino, then pour the Creme de Violette in the frozen glass, and then pour the shaken cocktail on top of it. Cheers Anders and Az! 🥂
I like it the same way: shake without the creme de violette, but mix it together as you pour into the glass.
I loved your old videos as much as I love the new ones! the old ones felt more personal and like I'm in someone's home, the new ones are more laid back
We were in his flat!
Appreciate you being here and the kind words. Happy you enjoy the content!
"That'll do" is what I say to my border collies when they are through with their task. Keeva perked her ears when you said that, Anders! I've never heard of Crème de Violette. Makes a beautiful cocktail. Very nice merch!!
The vibe, the men, the coctails, the editor, the histories behind the coctails. Love it all!!!
I like how this comes out when in the Midwest we just had a snow storm.
The old videos are good too. I learned some great cocktails and some great from you. I still go back and rewatch the Brooklyn episode when I make that cocktail.
Woa! Love the glassware and that bar mat... so cool!
I shake the aviation. But I first had the cocktail in a bar in chicago and the tender barely put violet in it. As a matter of fact he put a teaspoon in the glass. Swirled it around and dumped it out. Made the drink and poured it. The hue was sky blue. Delicious.

Branded mixing glass next please!
We like you, Anders ( and the cocktails)!
Cocktails are indeed fun and delightful. But YOU, Anders, are delightfully fun…and you are why I watch. (And your little Az, too!)

You're the reason I watch this channel. The cocktails are a close second. Keep up the good work!
Finally!!! The much requested/anticipated bar mat is here!!! Thank you and cheers! -Kurt
we want merch merch and more merch!!! Great for Me, Great for Gifts!!
Sometime I preferred Mezcal instead of Gin in the aviation. It adds more flavor to the drink but I love both version!
Like your style. Cheers
Esquire, my favorite craft bar in San Antonio, makes them this way. They call it El Aviación. ¡Qué sabor!
YES! I’m here to hear ALL the things and all the reasons. Thank you.
It's definitely you sir! I can't tell you how many people I tell on a weekly basis about your channel. You sir are a national treasure!!!
Love the cocktails and the man. I work in a high end craft bar and have learned so much from this channel. Thank the heavens for giving us Anders!
Your Aviation cocktail is the best version. Including stirring. I think it was one of the first things I made via your recipes.
I am an Anders fan! I also really appreciate your presentation on the history of the classic cocktails as well as your explanations for the reasoning behind various ingredients/methods. You are my #1 cocktail info source!
This new merch is very tempting...
You, Az, and the content are the reason I watch all your videos. Keep up the fantastic work you do.
I purchased the bar mat and coupe glass and I “LOVE” them. The glass is beautiful, perfect for a daiquiri. The bar mat is in a class all its own. This thing is massive and heavy and beautifully crafted. I love it and you will too, PROMISE.🤙🏽
Here for you Anders. There are all sorts of channels that make cocktails but there’s only one you. Love the histories and the fun. Great merch too!
”Throw that away… the lemon peel, not the drink” 😂 also, just love how the logo appeared at 1:38, chef’s kiss
The spring forward sounds delicious! Love the flavor combinations you got going on there. Love the new merch!
I'm a big fan of everything you and Az do with your channel. I recommend it to everyone I know who enjoys a good cocktail. Nice job with new merch. And now...to the store.
I mean, that rocks glass is a thing of beauty. You can go in an earth tangent whenever you like, Anders.
(i now stir my aviations because of you. But clarified lemon juice ALSO does some great work in the coupe)
TO THE BAR!➡️🥃
‘ the bar. … sorry, I thought you were proposing a toast.
Strawberry, basil, and gin are such a great combination.
I love the content as an aspiring hobbyist bartender but your personality is what makes it most interesting. Your explanations and history and all that are perfect. Or, perfect for me. Great to hear the Southern Hemisphere get a mention. We appreciate it.
He said the thing! He said the thing!
And now his bar-mat says the thing, too!!
I'm a big fan of the channel because you're fun, informative, make drinks that interest me and use techniques that can be done in the home bar. Some other drink channels lack personality or become so "high school chemistry lab"y that they become unapproachable. Keep up the good work Anders

And oh es on the glassware. Will definitely be getting some. Great branding, sir!
The Spring Forward works on soo many levels, it’s also a play on Spirit Forward
We love you Anders! Defo trying the spring forward when the sun finally comes out in the UK, cheers x
You should jump on the lavender train Anders and show off some favorite and original lavender cocktails! My wife would love you all the more for it!
Great show congrats on all the growth! Earth is flat Anders! 😜👍
One of my favorite things to do is to have drinks with friends. I also love to try new things. I think that's why I love these videos so much. They feel like I'm having a good time drinking some great cocktails with friends that love them too. (Though, I'm not drinking while watching these videos.)
Anders, you are a good teacher and obviosly an excellent bartender, your classes are always intructive. I like the person before the cocktails.
An Aviation IS wonderful for Spring! (And also always, all the time, forever.)
I have learned so much from your channel! And I just ordered the bar mat...and of course, it's you, Anders!
Cheers! 🙂
Great energy in this video, haha. Thanks for sharing your originals along with the classics.
The Aviation is one of my favorite cocktails ever. The crème de violette you used is the one I used for a long time and didn’t love. The Bitter Truth’s crème de violette tastes better and, when shaken, actually gives you the sky blue color that the drink has at its best!
Awesome, I love Pisco. Thank you for another cocktail to try!
Absolutely here for the whackiness. 🤣 The Barback's Revenge looks really good!
Top tier video Anders. Your personality always shines through.
Empress gin is purple and works swimmingly in the Aviation- even shaken!
loving your stuff anders!! is your glassware going to be available in the uk?
Will definitely be trying those original cocktails - right up my alley! +1 for more Anders original concoctions.
🔮🤞🏻
Hadn’t watched the more recent videos, cool to see how everything now has your own brand! Fancy!! Congrats, well deserved!
Its You and the Cocktails! Its also the production quality and the set and the format of your videos. I especially enjoy the Format where you Tell us the drink, the history, show the booze, the build and then you and Az try the cocktail and give your opinion!
Got the mats, one for me, one for my son. Very nice! I need a bigger bar now! :) Looking forward to a half-size version, too. 😅
The Aviation. Perfect, I love it, one of my favorites!
Your Aviation is simply the best!
I still like the old Anders Aviation video for the music & Anders' sweet simultaneous stirring & shaking skills! ❤ classic Anders n Az! 🥃
Try rolling your aviations, gives you a happy medium between stirring and shaking
Anders, made the Barback's Revenge with all exact ingredients, but with 3/4 oz. each Benedictine and Lustau Sherry, instead of 1.0/0.5. A little dryer, less syrupy. Really liked how refreshing it was.
I will add the violet liqueur to my glass with cherry and chill. I also prefer to use indigo gin and shake that with the lemon and luxardo.
I did notice the little cocktail nose! I love how simple, but elegant your logo is! Well crafted. And while I love the cocktails you craft, you're not a bad personality to watch ;) Cheers, a fan :)
We love the drinks but most of all the personality! Especially the quirky bits, you make me laugh and smile so much, the quirkier the better 😅
A.) I was here for the original aviation video and loved it.
B.) Aviation is a favorite of mine.
Great videos.✌️
Love the merch! and your announcement! and the ending credits music! Well done :)
I listened to this episode while driving and entirely thought that your Anders Erickson “Cocktail Glasses” were eye glasses with the bridge gap in the shape of a cocktail glass 😂 I was excited for them!
Swell new swag! And of course grand drinks as always! CHEERS!
Cheers, Sue!
We do like you. A lot. Your videos are when I know the weekend is here!
Happy weekend
We’re here for the Sips, TIPS, and recipes! Stirred aviation!
Brilliant work as always! One of my favorite episodes yet
Aviation is one of my favorite drinks. I just buy the ON THE ROCKS Aviation. So much easier. Add ice and pour drink in the glass. Less than 30 seconds!
those cocktail glasses look awesome! lookin forward to celebrating spring with more cocktails!
I’ve been an Anders fan and subscriber since the very early days, and it’s your quirky joy and passion that got me into cocktails! We DO like you and would rather come here to partake rather than googling some recipe. To The Bar!! 🫡
If you want to shake the aviation and maintain the fun colors I’d recommend empress indigo gin
I have been making a violet infused cosmo by sneaking violets from my neighbors side lawn. Using vodka as a base for the infusion it changes color with lemon juice. Try it! I add a touch simple and Grand Marnier.
Entertaining and educational as always. Happy spring!
Wow, the landing! That was perfect, and in difficult conditions!
Big fan here, of both jajaja really admire your job! It's been helping me through my bartender job for sure 😎
