Draga moja, thank you for ur wonderful reaction... 😘😘
Gwydion fab Dôn is a magician, hero and trickster of Welsh mythology, appearing most prominently in the Fourth Branch of the Mabinogi, which focuses largely on his relationship with his young nephew, Lleu Llaw Gyffes. He also appears prominently in the Welsh Triads, the Book of Taliesin and the Stanzas of the Graves.
Hvala ti puno, spasila si mi ovaj tjedan, ponovno sam imao suze u očima, ovo nije obična pjesma, ove je pure magic!!!
Ako te Faun još dalje interesira, "FAUN - GALDRA ft. LINDY-FAY HELLA of WARDRUNA" isto je jaka pjesma.
Hvala još jednom, ko i uvjek, stay safe i pozdrav iz Njemače

Takodje hvala na svim informacijama i na preporuci, slusam Faun ponovo sigurno!
You stay safe too i veliki pozdrav 💜☺

Unfortunately, the Hurdy Gurdy is rarely used as a lead instrument. Eluveitie has lost two players who formed their own bands. It is more prominent there.
Anna Murphy, who you saw as the singer of Call of the Mountains and now makes prog metal:
CELLAR DARLING - Avalanche (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
And her successor Michalina Malisz, who founded a symphonic metal band:
LYRRE - Valley of Tears (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
However, the most successful is Patty Gurdy. Fittingly, there was a collaboration between her and Faun founder and mastermind Oliver “SaTyr” Pade:
PATTY GURDY feat. FAUN - "LURING" (Official Music Video)
Patty is usually faster and happier. She is currently recording her new album:
Patty Gurdy - "Run" Live @WGT2022
With Patty you can get to know many bands. Her last video is once again a collaboration:
ALESTORM ft. PATTY GURDY - Voyage Of The Dead Marauder (Official Video) | Napalm Records
    Another faun song:
    FAUN - Federkleid (Official Video)
For Eluveitie, Rebirth is a good recommendation. A better one is:
ELUVEITIE - Aidus (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
The hurdy-gurdy was created in the 10th century during the reconquest of Spain. The Arabs brought string instruments with them to Europe. The Spanish replaced the bow with a wheel, turned with a crank. This makes a permanent tone possible. It then spreads in different versions across Europe. The one most commonly used today comes from 18th century France. Patty can explain to you how it works:
How EXACTLY does the hurdy gurdy work?

Nothing special what sub-genre I experienced before particularly in the 'British Isles'.
These didn't satisfy my musical taste!
The original folk metal bands were 'Skyclad' from England and 'Cruachan' in Republic of Ireland.
Modern Folk metal is basically traditional Celtic folk metal, with the influences and instruments are specifically from Irish, Welsh and Scottish mythology traditions.
Folk metal is a subgenre of heavy metal. Which also falls under non-extreme heavy metal.
Pagan and Celtic metal are sub-genres of which fall under folk metal. There are also genres like pirate metal which is a sub-genre of folk metal but it is more lyrically driven.
'Celtic Folk Metal' is the genre of heavy metal. A non-extreme metal genre.
It originated in Republic of Ireland (Mid-1990's) with other metal genre influences like power metal, black metal and often symphonic metal. Folk metal lyrics vary from band to band. But all folk metal bands have influence of traditional folk instruments - especially - hurdy-gurdy, moraharpa, bagpipes, harp, Violin or etc etc.
'Pagan Metal' falls under folk metal but often intersects in black metal too. Sometimes death metal
(mostly melodeath bands). Pagan metal is mostly lyrically based.
I remember there was a band, a side project of Varg Vikernes 'Burzum'.
And Burzum wasn’t just only black metal. Burzum was a key band for development of pagan metal. Even the artwork has some pagan style?
if you move lyrically, then you’d end up in bands like Led Zeppelin. But Led Zeppelin was no way an extreme metal band.
'Celtic Metal' pretty similar like Celtic rock. It focuses more on Celtic theme. But that’s not only it.
It has Celtic influences AND less black metal influences unlike Pagan metal.
Celtic Metal mostly is a softcore genre compared to Pagan Metal. One of the most important music instruments of Celtic Metal is Bagpipes. I remember the band 'Skiltron'. Celtic Metal uses some special instruments much different than Pagan & Folk Metal. Especially of the England, Republic of Ireland, Scotland roots.

Aye It’s complicated, tho they are a good band, but can't go wrong with other influences of originality :)
