@@kitarajaba9154 I'm on the same page. Not to take anything away from Marco, he's a legend and he's one of the top drummers currently alive. It's just that the stuff that Hannes plays is basically the pinnacle of this genre and requires an unbelievable level of dedication to play correctly. I think that, given more time, Marco would have been able to obviously nail the tracks 100 percent, but he was stepping FAR out of his comfort zone as far as playing goes and you can't exactly learn this style of playing overnight. The level of endurance, precision, technical ability and power required are incredibly high. To even go further with this example of comfort zones, Hannes when playing live (gotta emphasize that) with Hate Eternal and playing some of their older catalog, you can tell that playing for loooong extended periods that are just constant blasts, he almost struggles to keep the power (as most would, only a few can truly play with speed and power like that for long periods) on his snare hand. Marco and Hannes are both god tier drummers but they both have their specialties, as do guys like David Diepold, George Kolias or John Longstreth. You switch any of these guys up and make them play with the other guy's band, there will be a bit of a learning curve for them. We're pretty lucky to have such an incredible wealth of drumming talent in this day and it's so rare to see a guy like Marco, who normally plays Fusion, jumping into a death metal band. I loved watching him play with Necrophagist. I know a lot of dudes are stoked about Marco, too, because of his work with Paul Gilbert #endrant

This song took a while to grow on me... now it's my favourite Necrophagist song. I can't believe how good this performance is either. Incredible music.
Necro is not my favorite band definitely, I would say after years of listening it's one of the least favorite bands, but this song is a brilliant of technical death metal and maybe my favorite song of this genre. 1:47 riff is something that Muhammed can definitely be proud of.

At 2:43 he actually seems to play this part of the solo slightly too fast. You can hear him ringing out the note slightly longer than it’s meant to, but that’s if you want to be insanely critical because this performance was outstanding.

I can play Epitaph and Stabwound at %125 speed but I cannot even learn this one. Not that it is the hardest thing to play but when you slow down and study with tabs you will be like "how the hell did you think of that?". Anytime I study this song I become more addicted to it. The riffs and timing are so unique that you just dont get used to it.

I was at this show, I saw them all the times they played summer slaughter in Toronto and I still have the shirt I bought at this show.
My guitar teacher back then knew them personally and was asked to join. But than the band stopped.

Fonzo Hernandez it's funny that their songs are at 220+ bpm using eighth notes but use a slower tempo like 120 bpm and using 16th notes
