I've been doing some of your easy 10 minute chair exercises, gradually mixing them with a 15 minute one or a 20 minute stretching video-they're easy to tailor to my needs. Just started the walking ones...this is my first 30 minute workout! I thought I wouldn't make it, but I did. 😂I'll run through it a couple of more times and then add my hand weights. I appreciate the choice of coach or no coach, alternative moves, and a kind approach. I'm trying to establish a regular routine and your videos really help the circulation in my legs and feet, in particular, and I can see I need to work on my balance because that part was harder than it should be. I've been recommending your channel to my friends who are struggling with poor health or past injuries that make exercising difficult for them. Thank you!
I LOVE reading about how you're progressing from the seated to standing workouts, Diana. Definitely getting stronger! Thank you SO much for sharing my channel with friends and a massive kudos to you for staying consistent with exercise and for being determined to continue to get stronger. In case you haven't seen my second channel, I'll add the link for you: youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts
So glad I found you. It’s a new lease on life for me. I thought my exercise days were over. Then here you are! I am so happy now! After a hip replacement, rib removed from my back, varicose veins, and breast cancer survivor I needed this so much to get out of my pain and depression. I appreciate you so very much! Ty for your time and consideration from the bottom of my heart!
Oh wow, what a great comment to read, Blanche. I am very happy to have you here and thrilled to know that you are enjoying exercise again. Thank you for sharing that with me. I create gentle, beginner and intermediate level workouts and categorize them in the playlists. I also offer some as talking workouts, and others as no-talking. Once you figure out which ones you enjoy best, you will be able to find more similar workouts. You can also find my workouts on my website (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com). I hope my workouts continue to bring you back each day. Welcome to my channel!❤️
@@ImprovedHealthI’m 60 and on your sitting exercises so far. My goal is to work my way up. With my hernia in my back I find the breathing to be my struggle. I’m finding that it’s getting easier to breathe now. As that happens I feel I can get to the standing ones.
This routine is great for me. The stretching has helped my back tremendosuly. The time is perfect and I appreciate being able to alter or stop as I need. Thank you for making this video
Bless you once again for a wonderful workout. Your kind and caring attitude is so motivational to me to keep working out at my own pace! I'm 70 and want to stay fit and strong the rest of my days. 💪
Welcome back to exercise! Just to help you navigate the channel, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) and categorize them all into the playlists. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this channel! For the first time in my life I look forward to exercising! I love to dance although I havn’t for many years but your videos energize me. Love the music, the pace, the choices, the no talking or guidance if you choose. I am so grateful I discovered you.❤
I was terrified! Half an hour at my current health. I'm not going to make it! But I always watch the whole video for statistics out of sympathy for the coach. Then I started to exercise. I thought I would just do a warm-up. But it turned out that the workout is very easy and not tiring. It is a little more difficult to lift the leg with weights. I practice 1 hour of balance every day, but I didn't think to include weights in it. You also suggested squats very easy. You are right there are problems with coordination of movements, which makes me nervous. The whole session went by in no time. Thank you, Jules.💛
I'm glad to read the workout was more manageable than you thought it would be:) When I create the gentle workouts, they are designed to be gentle. I try my best to create 3 levels...gentle, beginner and intermediate. You can also find them categorized in the playlists and on my website to help you find the ones that suit what you are looking for that day. I hope that helps.
I am always amazed at the multitude of ways you come up with to work various parts of the body. You are so creative! Thank you researching, preparing, videoing, editing and smiling through it all.
I like that each cardio workout is different enough that I don't get bored with the routine. And you include different balance and strength exercises too! Great!!

I’m 66 and have been exercising with you since February of 2023. My balance is better, I can move my arms better and my neck is not as stiff. I dairy farmed with my husband and used to pick up 80lb grain bags over my left shoulder and would pick up 110lb hay bales. My shoulder is shot and can not go to far back or be level. Thank you for these videos! I'm 78 and love these "gentle" workouts. I'm looking forward when I get up to get movement, dance, coordination, and stretching in my day that's great overall exercise and great FUN!
So glad I’m back. Have done well on low carb loosing weight but at 73 I’m sure I need more strength and moving. Thanks for thinking of us who are not so athletic but want to improve energy!
Just a perfect light workout! I love all of the workouts that you have. I am on the beginner to level 1 and hopefully soon I will make it to the level 2. This is great for whoever wants a simple workout. Thank you once again for creating.
Day 80! ✅️💕😊 Who would believe it! Not me but here I am! I couldn't do it without you Jules so thank you for making me healthier and happier! You are a star! 🤩
I've been looking for an exercise program that I could do at home after school each day. One of my friends recommended your videos and I"m so glad she did. I just finished my first workout and I will do it again tomorrow! Like the commenter below, I had a hip replacement and have had a hard time finding an exercise program that works with my schedule. In the summer, I did water exercise classes but those are only offered in the mornings while I am teaching. I'm grateful to my friend for recommending your videos.
I love your videos so much. I’m 46 and really overweight and out of shape and needed to start with beginner for exercise. I did your 7 day gentle exercises 3 times and now started this one. Looking forward to doing more of your workouts. They are perfect for me. I appreciate you so much!
My wife and I (late 70's) really enjoy your workouts. They help put a spring in our day. We are wondering if you have ever used or tried to incorporate small 30 - 50" trampoline or re-bounder in a workout. We have used ours on and off for several years and find it easy on the knees and improves our balance. Now we can use it with your videos improvising our own moves. Love your music choices.
Hi Bob, thanks for your comment. I've had a few viewers ask about the re-bounder. I've never used one but I've heard good things. Maybe at some point I can borrow one from a friend of mine and give it a try to see if it might work for a video.
Hi Jules: I look forward every morning to see what you have for us to do. I absolutely love this workout. I love all your workout videos you make. I like the picture behind you. Were did you get it at? Have a wonderful day. 😅😅😅
Thank you so much for creating these exercise videos. They are very motivational and encouraging for seniors. It motivates me to exercise every morning. I cannot thank you enough. And I love you.💞🙏
THANK YOU! So glad I found you, You make exercise pleasant. I have CHFf and my husband is post stroke with aphasia and limited mobility. We look forward to our “time with Jules” every day now.
What a lovely comment to read first thing this morning:) Thank you for letting me know that you are both enjoying the workouts. I haven't created a gentle workout in a while but I will start looking into making another one soon. Please let me know if the two of you have any requests.
These are really great. I just started a new job as an activity Director for a senior care facility and they love them. We have a wide variety of physical levels and wheelchair-bound seniors. Do you have any videos that show modification moves for people that have to sit or are in a wheelchair? That would be really cool to see that behind you while you are doing the standing version. 😊
Hi Kym. I work as a Recreation Therapist and teach exercise classes to a wide variety of levels in one group. If you go to my playlists and check out the gentle seated workouts, you’ll find lots there that would be suitable. You can also find all of the workouts categorized on my website (with other senior resources, too). www.improvedhealthforseniors.com

Thank you so much for doing workouts where I don’t need a lot of room. I live in a tiny house so 8x8 is about all the room I have. I’m 68 yrs old and want to stay in shape in the winter but going outdoors is awful to exercise in. Thank you for videos for older people that are doable but keep us in shape. I LOVE the monthly calendar for something different each day. ❤
This was the perfect workout for me. I have lower back pain so I just took it easy and everything was great. The balance is so helpful and the sit to stand. You are the perfect workout partner.
I can't express how much your work outs have saved me, thank you. My anxiety levels, albeit mild, have subsided. You are truly a blessing 🙏 forever grateful.
We tried this new one out this morning, and really enjoyed it! It’s always fun learning some new moves (some were a cognitive challenge, but that’s good!) Thanks, Jules, for always giving us choices! We did add on weights, since it was gentle.

I love this one, the warm up is almost like dancing, but I have ZERO coordination and find it difficult to do two things at once! I'll keep trying, hoping my coordination will improve with time!
Hi! My suggestion is to just focus on what we're doing with our legs. Just try to do the lower body movement and allow your arms to move how they want to move. Once you master the lower body movement, you can add in the arms:)
@@ImprovedHealth Thank you for that advice and you're a dear to acknowledge my situation! Most, I've found don't even bother. I'm a subscriber for life!
Great gentle exercises. Not too strenuous! Not too many repetitions of the same exercise which helps. I have been doing just for a week and doing it every 2nd day and walking the other days. Finding it helpful. Thank you.
Just the workout I needed today, have been struggling with a fibromyalgia flare but my goal has been to do some sort of exercise every day. Your workouts are great
Thanks very much for these workout videos and for the calendar. I discovered your channel about 5 weeks ago and it has been wonderful! I had stopped exercising for almost 25 years and thought that I would never get back to it. You have given me hope!
Maggie, thank you SO much for taking the time to write your comment. I am absolutely thrilled to have you here and to read that you are starting to exercise again. I look forward to reading about your progress if you wish to share it as the weeks and months go on.
Wonderful session. Always enjoy your exercises. I would have liked cardio portion to be about 5 minutes longer. Also more repetitions on the strength portions including a stretch at the end of it. Thanks
Thank you for your feedback. I generally keep the gentle workouts shorter, but at some point I can create a longer one. Have you tried the longer beginner level workouts?
The "Gentle" series is also great for after an injury. I had some tendon issue over the weekend, so chose to do this one (albeit with only 1.5 arms). Thank you for make this alternate series for us.
After taking 4 days off from exercising today's work out was perfect to get back into the groove. I found the link on the October Calendar. Next up is the strength workout. Thank you so much for putting these calendars together. I get the variety I want and not the worry of being to repetitive on any one muscle group for the strength workouts.
I'm glad to read that you started back with an easier workout after having some days off (always a wise decision!). Thanks for letting me know that you're enjoying the calendars...I appreciate that.
Thank you for letting me know that these work well for you, Leslie. I definitely appreciate knowing that they are manageable for someone with chronic fatigue.
I found you by searching on RUclips. I was looking for beginning exercises (I'm 66) that would help me get started. I love that your exercises are free to use. I was getting tired of ads that showed simple, doable exercises, but made you take a test abouty weight loss and then would suggest a routine (which you had to pay quite a sum for) that was not the exercises shown in the ad. Thank you for all that you do.

Just what I needed as I've been a bit under the weather and missed a couple days and wanted to start back more gently. Thanks
I love rhe exercises in this video - good all round workout and extra benefit of releasing stiffness in my neck and shoulders. One happy 76 year old.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write your lovely comment. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this light workout. I coupled it today with your 30 20 10 workout, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Jules.
That's a great combo, Sharon! Congrats for adding on to the workout and getting more out of it.
Thank you so much, it’s really a great exercise for me. God Bless you ❤
Thank you!
So glad I’m back. Have done well on low carb loosing weight but at 73 I’m sure I need more strength and moving. Thanks for thinking of us who are not so athletic but want to improve energy!
So glad to read that you understand the importance of strength training.
Great workout!! Thank you Jules xxx
Nice way to start the day!!!!
Great session! Thank you.
We started our day/week with this all-in-one. Such great balance work!! We need that. Thanks, Jules!
Another good choice, Mary:)
@@ImprovedHealth , thanks! I’m trying to make better decisions.
Love the all in ones! Thank you, Jules. 💞💪🏻
Thanks Dorothy.❤️
I did this seated and had a good time 💜
Oh, that’s great! Let me know what you’d like in a new seated workout.
Gracias desde CDMX, hermosa la rutina❤❤
Such variety. All the changing moves made this one fly by! 💕
Wow! Never noticed the time! Thank you so much, Jules!❤❤❤
I'm glad to read that the time flew by:)
Enjoying these videos!
Thanks Alicia:)
Just a perfect light workout! I love all of the workouts that you have. I am on the beginner to level 1 and hopefully soon I will make it to the level 2. This is great for whoever wants a simple workout. Thank you once again for creating.
Thank you for your great comment and feedback, Yvonne.
Day 80! ✅️💕😊
Who would believe it!
Not me but here I am!
I couldn't do it without you Jules so thank you for making me healthier and happier!
You are a star! 🤩
I am honoured to be part of your fitness journey, Annette.🥰 Congratulations on getting to 80 days!!!
I needed a slow one today! Thank you.
the strength & balance is key for me.
I find I've lost some of that which I took for granted.
as always, very grateful, thank you thank you.
p.
I'm so glad you recognize the importance of strength & balance:)
I am so glad these are working for you. Thank you for taking the time to let me know, and please thank your friend for me! Welcome to my channel!
Had a great time. Love the low-impact.
Thanks Terry:)
Thank you for helping me start to exercise again!
I am more than happy to help!
That was a brilliant work out, thank you
Thanks Diane!
I love your videos so much. I’m 46 and really overweight and out of shape and needed to start with beginner for exercise. I did your 7 day gentle exercises 3 times and now started this one. Looking forward to doing more of your workouts. They are perfect for me. I appreciate you so much!
Thank you SO much for taking the time to let me know that you're enjoying the videos. I really appreciate it, Danah.
Thank you for the excellent workout!
Thanks George. I’ll try to remember to add some links on my website tomorrow for the backdrops.
Thank you so much for creating these exercise videos. They are very motivational and encouraging for seniors. It motivates me to exercise every morning. I cannot thank you enough. And I love you.💞🙏
I am super happy to read that you are finding them very beneficial. Thank you so much for sharing that with me.
Thank you!
Jules, this workout exceeded my expectations. The gentle cardio even got a little sweaty for me!! I enjoyed it all and, I thank you for it.
Thank you very much for your feedback, Vicki. I'm very glad to know that you enjoyed it.
Another fabulous gentle workout. ❤
Thanks Margaret!
Just started doing your low impact exercises for seniors. Finding them great.
Thanks for taking the time to let me know you're new here, Linda. Just to help you navigate the channel, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) and categorize them all into the playlists. If you enjoyed this one, you can find plenty more at this same level under the 'gentle level' playlists. I hope you enjoy more of the workouts when you try them out. I also started a second channel dedicated to chair workouts and will add the link for you here in case you're interested in the seated stretches: youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts
@@ImprovedHealth thank you so much. I am hoping to try all the levels as time goes on. Right now I am enjoying low impact exercises.
I'm so glad to read that you're enjoying the calendar and the workouts. Thanks for taking the time to comment, Kathy.
Thank you so much for your channel and your time to make these video's.
Thanks Pauline. I appreciate your message.
This was the perfect workout for me. I have lower back pain so I just took it easy and everything was great. The balance is so helpful and the sit to stand. You are the perfect workout partner.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, Sandi. You can find lots more like this one in the gentle level standing playlists.
Thank you for such a well-rounded workout!
Love the variety of workouts - never gets boring. Thanks for your positive encouragement.
Thanks Cheryl!
This one for today, catering to my knee a bit. Still a great workout, even though it’s gentle. Great balance and strength as well! Always a challenge.
Gentle workouts are STILL great workouts:)
I can't express how much your work outs have saved me, thank you. My anxiety levels, albeit mild, have subsided. You are truly a blessing 🙏 forever grateful.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to write your comment. I absolutely appreciate it.💖
UK 81yrs: I'm returning to this class Jules, now with weights. I really benefit from breathing prompts thanks again ❤
Thanks for the feedback about the breathing prompts, Patsy.
Thank you❤have the best times🎉
Thank you:)
We tried this new one out this morning, and really enjoyed it! It’s always fun learning some new moves (some were a cognitive challenge, but that’s good!)
Thanks, Jules, for always giving us choices! We did add on weights, since it was gentle.
It’s great that you were able to add some on some weights:)
Good session to easy back into exercise
Just to help you navigate the channel, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) and categorize them all into the playlists. If you enjoyed this one, you can find plenty more at this same level under the 'gentle level' playlists. I hope you enjoy more of the workouts when you try them out.
@@Dion82866 Aww, thank you!!!💗
Love your classes😊
I love this! Similar to the classes I take at the ymca, that I can do on the days they aren't offered!
I’m so glad these are coming in helpful.
Great gentle exercises. Not too strenuous! Not too many repetitions of the same exercise which helps. I have been doing just for a week and doing it every 2nd day and walking the other days. Finding it helpful. Thank you.
Thanks for your feedback. I have lots of other gentle all-in-one workouts on my channel if you want some variety.
Just the workout I needed today, have been struggling with a fibromyalgia flare but my goal has been to do some sort of exercise every day. Your workouts are great
That's a great goal, Dana! I hope my gentle workouts are suitable for the days when it's more challenging to move due to flare ups.
Thanks again . My first try at this one today & feeling more open in my joints 😊 . Loving your variety Jules, depending on my day. Have a great day!
I’m so glad to know that you’re enjoying the variety. Thanks Terri.😊
Thank you for sharing.
The "Gentle" series is also great for after an injury. I had some tendon issue over the weekend, so chose to do this one (albeit with only 1.5 arms). Thank you for make this alternate series for us.
I'm glad to read this one worked well for you this past weekend.
I absolutely love your workouts!! You are in my rotation every week!
Thank you SO much for your awesome comment, Patti. I love it.❤️
Just completed this one for the first time today really great thank you again 💕🥰
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for letting me know:)
Thank you so much! I'm suffering from the frozen shoulders and need this to release the pain and stiffness.
Thank you for letting me know that this helped.
Thank you. Loved it. Feels like I have done something today, and it was enjoyable to boot. The time went quickly because the routine was interesting.
Thank you! You can find lots more like this one in the 'gentle level all-in-one' playlists.
@@ImprovedHealth great! Thanks : )
Great for someone like me❤ I suffer from chronic fatigue. These workouts are fabulous. Thank you so much.
Thank you for letting me know that these work well for you, Leslie. I definitely appreciate knowing that they are manageable for someone with chronic fatigue.
With my 70 years on my back, i say "thank you", for these wonderful exercises, from Hannover, Germany 👍👋
Thanks for your great feedback.❤️
loved it. I use this when wake up stiff. Gets my blood flowing and works our most of the muscle groups
Thanks for your feedback, and a massive thank you for subscribing!
Thank you for this gentle all-in-one! Especially liked the balance & stretching!
Thanks for your feedback:)
Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know that you're enjoying these workouts, Carla. My workouts are definitely free, and always will be. Welcome to my channel! Just so you know, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate). If you like the gentle level, just head to the 'gentle level' workouts in the playlists.
I had to slow your video down to .75 since I'm just beginning and been recovering from multiple fractures. Just had hardware removed from right arm & elbow last year, etc. Glad I found your channel. 🙏
I’m glad to read that you slowed the pace to make it work for you. You’ll continue to get stronger.
Thank you so much for this!
I had an injury that affected my left knee and shoulder.
I was able to do all of the stepping and modified shoulder exercises.
Welcome to my channel!.
@ImprovedHealth
Thanks for the suggestions.
I just did the 20 Min GENTLE WALKING WORKOUT
for Seniors and True Beginners, it was perfect!
@@commonsenseprevails1433 Thank you for your feedback!
I have had to start over with the gentle workouts. I’ve been on a trip since. May. Appreciate you so much.
Welcome back! I hope you had a great time on your trip!
Like other posters below, I have some big health challenges, including a lung condition and arthritis. At age 77, I've had to make some adaptations to some of the workout (I cannot raise my right arm very high due to arthritic pain) but I'm so glad I found you, so many others I can't and/or don't want to do! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for letting me know that you're new here, and that you're enjoying the workouts. I'm guessing you've realized it already, but I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate). If you liked this one, you'll find lots more like it in the 'gentle level' playlists.
