Wow. 😭 And why are we crying?!? I think it's because you gave us all the words of affirmation that it seems we all long to hear but too seldom do. Usually we are told (lies), either by others or in our own heads that we "never do anything right" and we "are such a 'hot mess' in so many ways". Instead you spoke truth to us, Cass....you told her and all the rest of us that "You're amazing" and "incredibly organized", "gifted, talented, and have an artistic eye" and I am really proud of you." I think we could all bear hearing those kinds of words more often. Thank you for being very real and thank you for putting yourself out there for all of us. 💚💙💜
It was super nice to hear that everyone struggles at the beginning. So often it's people who are already minimalists talking about how much they love getting rid of things, and it's like, that's not me at all! I don't want my stuff, but I REALLY don't want to go through it and toss it either! So it's great to hear that it's normal for everyone at the beginning.
My heart is definitely touched. I'm crying. I happened to come across the "hoarder" program on FB. It made me feel better because I wasn't quite that bad. This lady's house is where I'm at now. This program helped my heart. Thank you. I am mildly handicapped now and hire helpers. I still do what I can. Thank you for this program. I think I am a butterfly.
The biggest thing I used to struggle with was the guilt of "I spent money on that & now it's just wasted." Once I began telling myself I bought a nice little gift for a stranger & made their day, I could easily let things go into the donate pile. 😃 I love watching these, you change people's lives Cas!! 😃 Love, hugs & God Bless you 💕💕
Such a good way of thinking about it! With clothes my kids have outgrown but is in great condition I try to find friends to pass them to, since often second hand clothes goes to landfills. It's a lot harder to let go of stuff we've never used, great to think of it as a gift to a stranger
This woman is all of us. We have all been there. This theory of decluttering goes far beyond just the physical clutter in our lives, it also goes to the emotional clutter. Great lessons and she is an inspiration! She has a real eye for making organization pretty!
@petra ledesma & to Charlene Lord(interesting user name, btw!)if you are “so perfect & your place is so beautiful “, then why did you watch this video? - to judge others? This video (in my opinion-at least!) is to help others who struggle with this issue & it helped me!!! 🧐🤨😏 Charlene Lord!
Michelle, thank you so much for being brave enough to “go public” to do this with Cass. That seriously was a huge gift for so many of us. Cass, of course, again, great job coaching, you have such a gift. I’ve listened (while working) or watched this RUclips numerous times now. I have started gotten started on decluttering- again.
OMG, the fire has been lit for me. To understand that I don't have to do it all at once, and to know that I can do this, may truly change my life. Thank you both for sharing all that you have done.
This could have used a "2 tissue alert". It would be interesting to know how many viewers had their hearts touched by Cas and Michelle. This could never have been staged. It was SO REAL. And so were my tears of joy. Pass the tissues again, please.😍
Few people, who have not gone through this, understand the tears in this video... I was particularly touched that the person whose home is getting organized, teared up the most at the thought of her journey helping others. Thank you both, so much!
Seeing her success in a space that reminds me of my own makes it feel possible. And it's like a weight is lifted just knowing I'm not the only person who's home gets that way.
Thank you both so much. I am shredding decades of "important" papers because of these videos and especially this one. I shredded 1 huge box filled with 20 years of old pay stubs, bank records, and old bills. I couldn't do this when my husband and I moved 3 years ago and had to downsize. I'm doing now because of the inspiration and knowledge that I'm not alone in feeling like I'm a Hot Mess when it comes to keeping my house organized or tidy. Thank you both for sharing the real struggle and victory of overcoming the chains that bind us to our messes😘💖🥰🥳
I need help, too! I have decided to turn our den into a man cave/family room for my husband. He just has so many different interests. He is a pastor (envision big messy desk), and he plays guitar, has a big telescope because he is an amateur astronomer and teaches about how the zodiac actually teaches/displays the gospel and we have a fireplace with a big TV on the mantel and our dog Alley's kennel and our couch and a recliner will remain in the room.🤪 Did I mention we have 6 kids and 12 grands and our 2 youngest kids have not married yet. So...big family and frequent visits from out of town.
Also I think sometimes we just need “permission” to let things go, we need someone to tell us “yes you can let it go!” You talking her through it gave her permission to let it go. 💜
THIS. I have a house full of crap I'd love for someone (other than my husband) to give me permission to get rid of. I first have to ask though. I'm afraid I already know it's ok to let things go. Baby steps.
Cass, I love this series. I think it is more therapeutic seeing people do this on their own. And to hear the absolute pride in your voice is second to none. Way to go Michelle!
A mouse helped me clean and reorganize my kitchen pantry! While it's not the ideal way to get motivated, it made me do the project immediately! Thank you, Mr Mouse!
Oh man! When you said “we ALL are crying!” I said “yes! We are!”. I’m in my mid 50s and for the first time I feel I can do this. Mostly because my own style is being taken into consideration and I don’t feel like I have to contort my bee self into another bug body! I’m making HUGE and lasting progress on a house that was horribly out of control… and it feels really good!
So proud of her. The zones make sense. I am getting inspired to start my home. My biggest struggle is I have TOO MUCH STUFF. I look at many items I purchased and never used. I have to change my mindset and not have shame for the money I wasted.
Another inspiring video. I think most people may wonder why get so emotional about organizing, but for a lot of us, when we organize our junk, we are organizing our thoughts, and our emotions. When you see it done you feel a sense of accomplishment that is like no other. Good stuff here.
Yeah, that's very true. Usually clutter represents a lot of issues that have accumulated and overwhelmed us. Sometimes it connects to feeling of inadequacy in life, sometimes to the lies we tell ourselves about ourselves that imprison us ("i am a disorganised person", "I am bad at getting rid of stuff", "I am hopeless", "I am a failure in life" etc etc), sometimes to other issues (for me my closet overflowing with clothes I never wear represents the hate I feel towards my body, my lifestyle, my mistakes, the unwillingness to let go of the ideal me, years of guilt towards people I owe a lot to, lack of feeling of ownership over my things and my life...). So facing the clutter means facing those issues, and that's often the real reason why we procrastinate it. And also why dealing with one helps to deal with the other :)
@@Cationna truth....i am inspired to do my closet this weekend, and i have to face all these clothes i dont wear because they dont fit, which means i have to face my body, which i am uncomfortable in at the moment.
I'm not a crier, but you got me. Happy tears are the best. Everyone needs a cheerleader, you are that cheerleader, Cas. We can all become someone's cheerleader. 😘😘😘
I have to say, I felt like I was alone in my disaster of an office/craft room. I had submitted it to Cas as well, but didn't believe I could do it and be on camera. I just want to say you have both very much helped me at least see that I am not alone and that it can be done. Great work and thank you so much for sharing this!
It was inspiring and encouraging. I especially relate to the need for zoning or macro organizing. And it is helpful when someone helps break it into smaller pieces, and assigns an order of operations to the smaller steps required.
OMG, Michele really did extremely well in her "croffice". Love that term! Having bought crafty items and not using them, which crafter is not guilty of this? I can relate to Michele, I'm also a hunter-gatherer and a bee. Gorgeous! Amazing!
Michelle inspired me so much..... this made me cry too.... I also have a very cluttered Croffice. Now because of you Cas, helping Michelle, I know I can tackle this. It might take me a while cuz I know I can't get it done in a couple of days, but I know this "bee" can get it done! Thank you both!
The fact that she was putting it together is awesome because I feel like the confidence you helped her find is what will keep her on the right track. This is sooooo much better than someone coming in and doing it for her and then her trying to keep up the system. I REALLY enjoyed this!
I actually like the longer videos. I get a chance to watch and clean along. Short videos are cool if I have a few minutes downtime but I really prefer longer videos! Love you Cass!!!
Wow. I love all the clutterbug videos, but this was the first that brought me to tears. Michele and Cass -- this was so inspiring, so touching. Michele, you have managed what all of us here hope to achieve someday. Congratulations! Cass, your ability to bring out the best in others, to see their hidden talents and bring them into the light, is such a gift. Thanks for doing such wonderful work in the world!
I found so much acceptance in the term butterfly. I was always the slob in my parends house and criticezed over my inhability to keep things tidy and always forgot to put things back. I tried to be tiedy it just never worked. But now i know my brain just cant do hidden or time consuming tidying routines. Most importantly i learned thats its okee. I reduced the stuff i own and have everything astheticle pleasing in the open. It workes for me. Im stil a slob sometimes, but cleaning takes minuten.
Takeaways for me: Zoning, “Dream and Do” room!, Trust yourself! And loving the affirmations Michelle put up in her room! Thanks for putting this out there!
I loved how long it was. I could have watched for an hour. Thanks for sharing! The outcome was beautiful and you can see a light on her face at the end for realizing that she could do it.
This video made my day. It’s about so much more than decluttering, it’s about challenging the way you see yourself. Telling that negative voice in your head to shut up and just take one brave step at a time. Thank you 💕
Cas, you’re amazing!! I am about to retire and am starting my own business of decluttering and organizing. I have learned so much from your videos regarding how to approach people and say what needs to be said in a gentle and firm way. I enjoy all of your videos and successes of your clients! Michelle, you are amazing!!! You created a most beautiful space!! Way to go!!!
Michelle now has her "happy place". So inspiring. So proud of her and in awe of how you work with your clients. You are such a caring, calming and gentle motivator. Where are my tissues... Much love and hugs from Michigan. Blessings-Judith 🎵🎭
My “croffice” is so stuffed I can’t walk in. There. I said it. It’s my shame so I keep the door closed until such day I’m ready to start decluttering. I think that day is here. Love you Cas, and thank you and Michele for sharing your vulnerability with us. We’re all in this thing together.
@@brendatomlinson You can be ready every day. Little steps. You never know what you will find, what you need to do or how you will react. Every day is fresh. You can do it Brenda, and you deserve to not feel shame.
My mom has been BEGGING me to watch your channel FOREVER! I finally tried a video of yours after we decided we needed to get rid of "trash" this weekend. Like junk upon junk. We made two dump runs. But my house, not just one room, is a complete disaster still. I suck at big projects and they overwhelm me so I just ignore them as if they will go away on their own. However, once the "big messes" are out of the way, I am hella good at detail work. I am absolutely a clutter bug and my family are slobs and after a certain point that I felt like I was constantly nagging them to help me clean, or just giving up and doing it myself, I got mad....so I stopped. I stopped dusting, vacuuming, picking up their dang toys, dirty clothes, and everything. And now my home is so beyond any way that I've ever lived in my life that I am sooooo incredibly intimidated. I also hate to get rid of things because I "think" I will use them eventually. However, I have SOOOO much stuff that I can't even spend time doing the things I love. I have TONS of art hobbies and I want to spend time creating and one day selling but right now.... I can't. I don't have the organization space that I need to be able to do the things I love which ultimately leads to me being a very unhappy person. I HATE being at home because of it. I'd rather be at work because there....I can control my small space all by myself. And it's minimal, and organized and not only does it make me happy to go to work because of it, it makes me love my job even more. To the point that I log in remotely from home on the weekends to work because it's the only place I feel happy right now. I just messaged my mom and told her that I was going to clean one little space (because small is better for me to not get overwhelmed) and that is my fireplace mantle. I'm going to take everything off of it, clean those items, and then decide what to do with it all. Anything that I'm not sure of, I'm going to start a pile to revisit later. Photography is one of my arts and I can't WAIT to see my huge framed piece that is one of my favorite photos I've taken. (www.herrmannphotography.com/p234312722/ecf7e097)
Wow! The part that really hit me was I'm telling myself a lie that I can't let go! You are so right! No more lies to myself! I will let go! Thank you Cas! ;0)
I cried right along with you guys! You both are awesome thank you for the inspiration I LOVE YOUR ROOM! I'm currently trying to make one too this gives me hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!
You two made me cry 😢 I’m a mess in my house too .. like I’ve given up because I can’t keep up and when I lost my mo jo got completely buried. I used to be tidy .. not so the last 10 yrs or so. I’ve worked all my life. Raised 4 kids... then came grandkids.. then as I got older two heart attacks and 2 knee replacements all since 2009.. then.. by 2012 we began raising four of our grandkids..a newborn granddaughter,1 yr old grandson, and 3 and 5 yr old granddaughters... plus waitressing at night.. I retired 5 yrs ago and I’m exhausted looking at piles and piles of stuff. I’m overwhelmed. Have started back creating a business crafting opened my Etsy shop last October.. I’m trying hard to get organized Thank you for all the encouragement I took in from your video ❤️
You can do it! Do it for yourself since you have done so much for so many others! You deserve to have a space you feel comfortable and at peace. Step by step, let‘s go 💪
Very good!Think of all the things you can do when you have room to just more than turn around in despair and run out of your room(s) in a panic! Space to work, and not be surrounded by chaos!Yeah!!!😄💖☘
She is enlightened! As a fellow bee I can relate. Her house is never going to be the same when she has the guidelines, like she said. So many of us tend to think that f.ex. cricket style is the only way to organize. Though it is great, visual bugs can’t enjoy the benefits of it, they need their own guidelines and once having them, a bee becomes a tidy and organized for the rest of her/his life. Thank you Cas for changing my life and have a wonderful newfound journey, Michele. All the best!
The tears of relief, and understanding, that someone gets it, and accepts you as you are. That is love. Giving others hope and a sense of direction to figure out who they are and how they function best is amazing. It takes a lot of courage to reveal one’s example of feeling out-of-control. Getting in control is what it’s all about.💖
Loved this video! I hope you make longer videos like this more often. There could even have been two parts. The journey is the interesting part of these stories, and you are the one who brings the best out of your clients! Thank you so much.
Oh MG of course that I cried 2! Because that’s exactly the best feeling about helping others and I love helping people get rid of their cluttered spaces and open their eyes to a new way of living. I have been riding with YOU Cass for 7 years thank you for being my greatest inspiration! 🐝 🦋
Amazingly inspirational. You reached into the heart of what’s going on for many of us taking on these tasks. The fear, lack of confidence and vision. Grateful to both of you!
OMGOSH WOW! This is incredible. I love how she says this used to be a dump and run room 🤣. It’s now a room to go in and linger and smile. It will be an absolute joy in there now. Xx
This is such a good session. I felt the same way as Michelle when I first began. I needed to go to town on my office/craft room. I had office paper clutter everywhere. But I also had yarn of all kinds, raw roving wool, silk and other fabrics with all the accessories for knitting, weaving and needle felting, plus I added a new category of Sashiko visible mending supplies, everything was scattered everywhere. Also there was a twin bed in there for when my grandchildren would spend the night (which didn't happen this past year). There was no zoning because there was no space to move. I decided the bed had to go, but I'd have to replace it somehow. I found a couch for my living room that easily made into a bed (not the old fashion heavy sofa bed). It also had storage under the chaise for the bedding to be stored. It immediately freed up space in the room and in a closet. I'm now in the process of reorganizing my whole room. There's an area for my desk and file cabinet which works great. Then I took off the closet doors and almost all of my yarn went in there. I bought a small inexpensive bookshelf for a cubby space so all my knitting and weaving books could go on it. That one decision to remove the bed turned this very small craft and office room into something that actually works for me. When I bought the couch, my daughter took back all of her furniture, a large couch and chair, another smaller chair, an ottoman, a coffee table and side table. This freed up my living room to begin again figuring out the look and feel of how I want my home to be. I'm a Bee with a little Butterfly. Thanks for your clarity about how to 'see' my style of organization. That has been so helpful in this journey.
This was perfect! I have a croffice (love that word!) that I can't walk through and I'm trying to figure to how to organize it and get rid of things. (I'm a butterfly) The first couple of days I felt like I was just moving things around and not getting anywhere, but I finally have a clear area of floor in the middle of the room. Thanks for the inspiration ladies!
Michele you so helped me! It was seeing you do it, I see an incredibly brave beautiful woman that created not only usable space but a space that reflex’s the real you! Blessed and safe days!
Michelle, thank you for your vulnerability. Cas was right, you are inspiring me (I suspect many, many more) to try to believe in myself that I can do this. Thank you both for bringing tears to my eyes.
Okay you two! I am a crybaby and you had me crying too by the end! What a phenomenal job with that room! I wouldn't have known where to start either. With your helpful ideas, Kaz, she created amazing separate areas which all blended together to be a great working room! I have to keep your "zones" in my mind because I have areas to tackle too. Kudos!!
What an inspiration you both are. The before looks like several rooms in my house. Success for me will indeed be space to vacuum. Maybe now I too can have a space like yours now that you have shown me how.
You're not crying. I'm crying. 😥😪You have no idea. How you have helped people! I discovered, your channel. Now, I still try to watch as many vlogs, as I can. You are an inspiration!Congrats on everything! 💐💙💚❤💛🖤💜
I need to do this too! We are moving into our father in laws trailer and this trailer will become my storage and craft room ( house). I really feel like I've become a hoarder when I look at this one. The worse it gets, the harder it is to be comfortable and think about decluttering. I hope to get it to a workable state eventually. Thanks for all the inspiration!
Michelle, you were brave to put yourself out there! That was a fabulous transformation! It's great encouragement for the rest of us who are trying to do the same thing! Kudos to you and Cass!!!
OMG, her crying at the end, made me cry! She DID help me! So proud of both of you. Thank you for letting your guard down and let us see your process! Love
THIS is why I've watched you for SO long Cass. I remember a video wayyy back where you talked about people saying "we could be friends.." and you admitting that you are not that person and tend to stay to yourself..I am that person too but you know what? Whether you are there in person or not, you are making such a difference in people's lives, including mine. You have a very special place in my heart as I can see many others. Thank you for being YOU.
I can relate to Michelle that she’s a bee that wants to see clear spaces. I’ve found that shallow drawers still let me see everything easily but it all goes away when I close the drawer.
Her room is real life! I’m embarrassed to say that’s basically my whole house, but again that’s life! Thank you for this. I haven’t finished watching yet, but this is EXACTLY what I needed right about now as I’m in the process of trying to move. Lol ❤️
Michele you’re helping me! Not only do you spell your name the same as my sister, but you also look like my aunt. Lol I’m using your motivation to motivate me to just get rid of it all. 🙌🏻❤️
Oh my goodness! So much of this is exactly me. I wish I would’ve seen this when it first came out. You hit the mail on the head talking about being scared and not having confidence. So me. SOOOOO ME 😭😭😭
Lighting the Fire WITHOUT JUDGMENT!! that is YOUR gift Cas!!

@@Cationna I think you should write a book. There’s so much truth to unpack in this comment. Thank you, I needed this.
“Instead of my dump and run room. It’s my *dream and do room”* that’s a wonderful things to hear from a client 🥰
I'm not a crier, but you got me. Happy tears are the best. Everyone needs a cheerleader, you are that cheerleader, Cas. We can all become someone's cheerleader. 😘😘😘
What a beautiful lady! You girls are very motivating. Love your channel Cass.
Look how much happier Michelle is after the "zoning". It wiped away the stress from her face. So happy for her.
I just watched this video and can so relate to this woman. I am in awe of both of you. Her space is lovely. Thank you for sharing.
I have to say, I felt like I was alone in my disaster of an office/craft room. I had submitted it to Cas as well, but didn't believe I could do it and be on camera. I just want to say you have both very much helped me at least see that I am not alone and that it can be done. Great work and thank you so much for sharing this!
Awe, good luck with your office/craft room! You can do it! Baby steps will get you there ♥️
This was a beautiful watch. So much space has opened up for new things in your life. Amazing work!
It was inspiring and encouraging.
I especially relate to the need for zoning or macro organizing.
And it is helpful when someone helps break it into smaller pieces, and assigns an order of operations to the smaller steps required.
Goosebumps! I even teared up some. What a couple of incredible women! You both are beautiful inspirations!!! ❤
OMG, Michele really did extremely well in her "croffice". Love that term! Having bought crafty items and not using them, which crafter is not guilty of this? I can relate to Michele, I'm also a hunter-gatherer and a bee. Gorgeous! Amazing!
I love the term croffice too, but the first time she used it, I heard "crawfish" which made no sense. Lol!
I love this term too! I'm going to use it!!!
Thank you Michele for allowing us to be inspired by your journey...We're all crying & cheering...❤🙏🏽
The fact that she was putting it together is awesome because I feel like the confidence you helped her find is what will keep her on the right track. This is sooooo much better than someone coming in and doing it for her and then her trying to keep up the system. I REALLY enjoyed this!
Yeah! With Cas’s coaching, she “owns” it bc the decisions made were her own.
🥰
Loved seeing Michele organically implement your suggestions! SO glad her husband supported her efforts! Well done by all!!
I love that it became her “dream and do” space!
Very relatable to me as I am just like her. This was one of my favorite videos. I too was crying. Kudos to you both. 👏
Ill be real...didnt xlixk on these vids cos i thought they would be boring. Boy was i wrong. U hit the jackpot with this formula cas
Thank you 💕
🥰
Cas, you’re amazing!! I am about to retire and am starting my own business of decluttering and organizing. I have learned so much from your videos regarding how to approach people and say what needs to be said in a gentle and firm way. I enjoy all of your videos and successes of your clients!
Michelle, you are amazing!!! You created a most beautiful space!! Way to go!!!
I laughed, I cried, I left refreshed, affirmed, and motivated to continue decluttering.
Wow - you are so positive and help your clients to believe in themselves! This is huge for your clients.
Michelle now has her "happy place". So inspiring. So proud of her and in awe of how you work with your clients. You are such a caring, calming and gentle motivator. Where are my tissues... Much love and hugs from Michigan. Blessings-Judith 🎵🎭
I have watched this show at least 50 times. Watching it was like watching myself. I love her shows but this was the best. I love Cas
Good luck!. Progress over perfection. Keep going. 😊
@@maryannegreenhill9412 Thanks, Maryanne!
@@brendatomlinson You can be ready every day. Little steps. You never know what you will find, what you need to do or how you will react. Every day is fresh. You can do it Brenda, and you deserve to not feel shame.
@@eileenlehonnyberg1576 Thank you, Eileen. You’ll never know how much I needed to hear this.
@@larrim9173 Awww Larri, thank you so much, friend. I wish you were here to hold my hand through it. But I can do it in baby steps.
Thank you Cas! ;0)
THANKS, MICHELLE! I'm going to start! Thanks, Cas!
so proud of her, she looks so much more relaxed!
Step by step, let‘s go 💪
Yay! Loved and needed this! Permission to let it GO! And do it on my own! With this video to go back to over and over! Thank you!
Once you start seeing clutter, you can't unsee it. I'm going thru a metamorphosis too. Now I see it everywhere.
You’re so right. Once you see it, it calls to you like chocolate in the pantry 😜❣️
That is so true! I thought it was just me!
What an incredible transformation! This is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing!
This was so inspiring! It motivates me to change my "dump and run" room to a "dream and do" room! Thank you both so much!!
Me too
Very good!Think of all the things you can do when you have room to just more than turn around in despair and run out of your room(s) in a panic!
All the best!
so relatable and I'm so happy for her. Nice work!
I’m so glad I watched til the end ❤️ Michelle, you ARE helping other people! This is so inspiring, you did an amazing job!! You’ve got this 💕
Thank you so much!
The room looks fantastic! A fitting place for a sweet lady to enjoy her crafting. Enjoy!!!
Oh MG of course that I cried 2! Because that’s exactly the best feeling about helping others and I love helping people get rid of their cluttered spaces and open their eyes to a new way of living. I have been riding with YOU Cass for 7 years thank you for being my greatest inspiration! 🐝 🦋
I am going to make a sign for myself that's says "Don't Dump & Run, Dream & Do" Thank You ♡♡♡
That's so cool! I'm honored!
Amazingly inspirational. You reached into the heart of what’s going on for many of us taking on these tasks. The fear, lack of confidence and vision. Grateful to both of you!
🥰
She’s the hand holding for this woman that we all need
Love all the emotions from women who are "Real" and yes my eyes are tearing up too. The room looks fantastic! 😍
Good job, Cass! Michelle, what a lovely lady you are !!! God bless !!!
I paused this video to get up and go declutter a cabinet I've been avoiding for a while. Thanks for the inspiration!
20:53 and you really are. we’re all so proud to see what you did with this space!! 💪🏾
Michele you so helped me! It was seeing you do it, I see an incredibly brave beautiful woman that created not only usable space but a space that reflex’s the real you! Blessed and safe days!
Thank you so much!
Kudos!!
Cas, as many of us have often said... you are changing lives, in the best way possible. What a blessing you are!! 😘
Love
This helped me realize I'm a bee too! Your fantasy choice versus what you really are... Nailed it for me 😊
THIS is why I've watched you for SO long Cass.
I am feeling SO INSPIRED!!! This is exactly what I NEEDED!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 🙏💖😊
