I have also done that with my son. While decluttering he got carried away and decided to give up a few toys I knew he lived and he would miss. Do I kept them and a few days later, I asked if he was still ok giving them away. He was glad to get them back! I didn't say anything in the moment because it seemed to me I would interrupt his flow and his confidence by second guessing his decisions... But it also felt a bit harsh to me not to help in a situation that was obvious to me that he would be sad later. It probably wouldn't be a big deal but... you know... being a mom and all that. 😊
@@debygiannioti4271 I think you were very wise. You knew your son well enough to know what decisions he might regret and planned for the remorse without penalizing yourself.
Cass, even my 4yo son came running over to watch this video! Would loveeee to see a "15 minute "all day declutter" for toddlers, where you talked directly to the tv and ask them to run around and fill a basket of old toys or explain the difference between things you use and extras. Like a kids show but teaching decluttering to kids, you'd be amazing at it ❤
Cass, congratulations on the CPR certification. I am as well. I had to use infant CPR twice on my grandson. It was probably the most emotional thing I ever did. When the paramedics came, he was life flighted. It took a long time before I could talk about it without tears. He was literally dead when I discovered him. Today he is 26. A testament to the training.
I am a paramedic, and I have legitimately SAVED a life because someone did good CPR before we arrived. I’m very proud of you and grateful you took the class!
I feel like this girl teaches all adults that decision making isn’t all that hard if we actually listen to ourselves and stop emotionally attaching ourselves to stuff.
My daughter is starting to figure out decluttering (she’s 4), and I practically skip out the door with donations every time my six month old grows out of some thing. I’m done with having babies and I’m so happy that stuff is leaving my house. Watching these videos has shown me that I can do it, and I’ve really got the ‘bug’ for organizing from Clutterbug. Thank you Cass!
I started a declutter in my son's room by myself and got rid of 5 bags of stuff and he never asked for 1 toy that I donated. I then started letting him declutter his own stuff. When his room got super dirty I had him pick up each piece and decide if it was getting donated or staying. At first he kept most EVERYTHING. But the more often we have done it, the more he has donated. It was hard for me to let him keep stuff I knew he wasn't using. But now hes gotten so good at it!
I am super impressed with those kids. The both know exactly what they want and what they don't want. They easily make decisions and then act. Stella is able to do it too, impressive. And Cas - wow, he is clear and thoughtful and self-assured. And again, he clearly knows what he wants and doesn't, and decides on it, and acts. Impressive.
So proud of you for taking the CPR class and wanting to save someone's life. I am so glad and grateful there are people like you in this world, Cas! ❤ Congratulations!! 🎉
Cas, you are not only gifted at decluttering; it is obvious you are also a great Mom, and a super fun person to be with, not only for adults but also kiddos. This Mom is also a great Mom to have such exceptional children!!! Those two kids are a couple of the most adorable, well behaved children I have seen, well, ya' know, other than mine when they were young, and my😢 grandkids. Fortunately, there is no cap on the number of absolutely adorable kiddos allowed at any given time! 😄
Such amazing kids! They were so sweet and sincere, I’ve never seen kids that age handle cleaning up their rooms (with a stranger!) so well. You could tell mom is a sweetheart too, they just seem like such a lovely little family. Also, like, _really_ well dressed! Loved these guys
Oh my God, Stella reminds me so much of my daughter Serena at the same age… not only physically but in her mannerism as well… big nostalgia there as she is now 15 😂 Well done Cass, big inspiration ❤
I gotta say, I love seeing Cass with these kids - you can tell she used to have a daycare - amazing energy! These kids did a great job and the mom just let them be - really great all around. Good job everyone!
What an amazing mom and daughter, for the mom to not second guess everything was incredible!! Way to go mom!! We all know our kids don't need presents they need our presence. 😁
Cass, you did great with the kids! I loved how you helped them feel empowered, and they made the decisions (and Mom let them, too!)! As a teacher/mom, I get how important that is. I think Stella is your new assistant, LOL! So precious! ❤
They did a great job!! So cute! We homeschool and my 10yo verbalized to me recently that she couldn’t do school in room because it’s too messy and she couldn’t concentrate. We finally finished a second round of decluttering in her room and added a few clear bins and she loves it! I’m glad she feels more comfortable in her room now and she can find what she wants and knows where it goes back. I think Dana K White’s question “where would you look for this first?” works really well for kids.
Stella & Cassius was so cute! They did a wonderful job! Congratulations to you on your CPR & 1st Aid Certification! As always, Cassie, thank you for sharing! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
Stella and Cassius both did a wonderful job of decluttering. Congratulations on getting certified for taking the first aid course and CPR class. Many years ago my mom talked me into taking the classes with her. I went reluctantly, thinking I would never need to use them. One day my mom ended up choking on a piece of a hotdog. I had to do the Heimlich maneuver on her. She survived and went on to become an EMT and run on the ambulance in the small town where we lived. I would have never known how to do this properly without taking the courses.
Cass, I can use this. I'm 48 disabled person I struggle with letting go. Doing simple an easy things are best for me. I like to see my stuff. If it's hidden then I forget it's there. If I see it I use it. Thank you for this Cass. You rock!
Stella is amazing when it came to decluttering. Yes, agree better than most adults. 9 year old Cassius, was great at decluttering too. Cass you were great with both kids. ❤

I worked for a volunteer Ambulance for quite a few years. It's amazing when CPR alone actually works. It's like you hear the Angels sing. To see life return to someone's eyes is amazing. We carry a first aid kit in our car. Tell your husband to hush!!! Lol

Beautiful family and transformation. I agree Cass that everyone should have First Aid training. Always said school curriculum should have it along with budgeting, financial (banking), cooking, sewing and small carpentry skills. All skills you need for family or home life. 🏡 ❤😊
Stella is absolutely precious. I could tell her mom was a bee at first glance --I am too -- and I thought it would be very difficult for her to let the children let go. Congratulations on the CPR!

Cas, great job on your first aid and CPR training! I love that you feel so empowered, sounds like you have really taken it seriously! I hope you can find an AED and feel more complete in your emergency preparedness! You go girl and what a great message to share 😊
Stella is so adorable, she made me smile! You were so good with the kids, Cass!! Can you please come to my house and talk to me like a kid because I’ve never felt more motivated to declutter! 😂
I know how you feel ! I took an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) course way back in 2009! Yes I was certified to save lives, it feels “amaze balls”! Your words not mine! It’s an awesome feeling! Loved this video! Two cute kiddos!
First of all Cass, I LOVE YOU! One night when I was overwhelmed by my clutter I gound you on ROCU and watched non stop for about 12 hours... Yep! Well into the next day. Then I sat down and came up with a written plan-- which I shared with my husband. He loved it because the top of the list was his garage which all my clutter had spilled over into. We spent probable about 3 days getting his garage the way he wanted it. He discovered that although he hates the title HE is a Butterfly! He'd rather be a grasshopper but OH WELL. HE IS WHAT HE IS. LOL. I also got my house in order.. then the roof litterally blew off (okay just the shingles, but still... total repair & renovation that took well over a year-- and that is another story!) But as COVID hit our kitchen was just getting finished. We spent our COVID VACATION doing ll kinds of projects-- mainly turning my decades old Meditearainian decor into a BEACH HOUSE-- Which I LOVE!!! Tony got is office turning into his AUTO ZONE where he displays his collection of car stuff and still has a workable office space for him. My office on the other hand is so backed up with unresolved clutter of STUFF that I can't breathe!!! Back on topic.... I LOVE THIS EPISODE!!! I Watched it on Rocu. then FOUND it on RUclips to comment. I watched it from the POV of my innerchild. She HATES to let go of anything. And ANYTHING that once made her smile she CLINGS to as if her very life depended on it. So I'm heading to my 'office'. Which is the room I set up to write in (I'm an author) and to keep the stuff that keeps our household going. ie BILLS! MEDICAL RECORDS. TAX STUFF. HOUSE MAINTAINENCE STUFF. PLANS AND PROJECTS.... and the list goes on.... and has built up and taken on lives of their own which is stealing my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP! PS. I 'FOLLOWED' you on FACE BOOK as Kit DeCanti till I got hacked. Now I'm Carolyn Kit DeCanti.
Congratulations on being certified. I worked in a preschool for 30 years and we were required to be CPR and First-aid certified. I always listened intently during instruction even though I had been through it so many times. I can’t tell you how many kids I used the Heimlich on throughout the years. The AED tells you exactly what to do, trained or not. What always astounds me is that only preschool had these requirements when everyone in the school should be trained. The kids in the video had so much in their rooms not sure why they would ever leave.😃Thank you.
Well done Cass-It's important to know what to do in a medical emergency. Keep up the good work-I love your videos-your enthusiasm is infectious. Sandi (72 yrs old UK)
What a cutie! ❤. You are working with her so well. How is her mom not stopping her, to keep some of the things?! Look at you down on the floor at her level. You are amazing! Cass is my favorite age. He’s so grown. Sister helping!! I just love you, you make me happy!!
This was awesome! I wish I had these tools when my kids were little. 😂 Congratulations on your certification. That's a lot to be proud of. Where I worked (before I retired) when the officers were trained for CPR and the "zap" machine, so was the office staff. It's a lot of work, but rewarding. I even got to use my first aid skills one morning and helped saved a life. 😊
You are so funny! Love the blouse! Now I’m ready to empower my three grandchildren who live with us to start decluttering their rooms!!!! Thank you for the inspiration and the knowledge on how to go about this with kids.
Oh my goodness, those kids are adorable and SO much better at letting things go than i am!!! I am a nurse and i say Bravo for learning CPR!! The more people that know it, the better!!
@Cass, you never know, you might be surprised by getting to use your first aid skills! The literal next day after I got first aid certified in Canada, a girl fell off her bike right in front of us and knocked herself unconscious on the pavement. I was so hecking glad I knew what to do! It's one of those things you hope not to have to use, but that one time you need it, you're so grateful to have it! I genuinely think everyone should be taught first aid.
I’m going to make a little sign that says “You deserve more hours back in your week” and display it wherever I am trying to declutter. Stella is an inspiration.
Stella is AMAZING good job mom and Cass! This is GREAT because mom can quarantine everything just to be safe for a month. But this was a great example of how kids will actually let stuff go ♥️♥️🙌🏻 So sweet! Thanks Stella and Stella’s momma!
This is absolutely-freakin' adorable. I did this with my boys when they were little, and now as teens, they do it themselves. IT IS AMAZING - they have an easier time letting go of things than I do!
Stella and Cass are ADORABLE and much better at letting go than I am. Unless you identify the beginning and end of each cord, I wouldn’t bundle them. When you have to follow a cord from its beginning to its end, it’s easier when they are separated. Congratulations, “Dr.“ Cas! 😆
We need MOREEEE kid room declutter videos with Cass!!! Please 🙏 You are so great with kids!!! My son is 7 and loves cars & dogs. He has SOOO many hotwheels cars & tracks & dog stuffed animals. I would love to see different ways to organize & contain but also display his stuff. I can not get him to part with his cars and since they’re only around $1 he keeps getting more of them when he has his own money. We have a large tub with at least 400 little cars only in it😮
I love watching these transformations, and the kids did great! Kids love to get rid of things that are too young for them bc they want to be more "grown up".
I would have loved to have someone helping me when my daughter was little. I still have toys in the basement that I'm going to get rid of. Cass, you save people everyday from their clutter and messy homes.😊👍
The brand sticker on top of the laundry hamper in Cassius' closet is the only thing that triggers my ocd: so, I'm stoked about everything else.🤗 Great job everyone! ☮️❤️🙏🤜
I love how you worked directly with Stella and her mom LET you do it. She didn't try to talk her out of anything. Such grace.
I did notice a few things she gave away in the final reveal so mom vetoed off camera haha (dolls and some dress up stuff)
@@briannewright8112 that’s totally understandable though. My 3 year old would give away ALL of her pants if I let her lmao
But still, that's good work!

These kids are so cool and adorable!
I did a decluttering session with my two teenage nieces . They were a little reluctant at the beginning but I assured them they could keep whatever they wanted. They both did great and got rid of like ten big garbage bags of clothes etc combined from both rooms. So sometimes bringing in an outside person who is easy to work with might get your kids or spouse etc the same outcome as Stella and Cas.

Wow, seeing little kids being able to do this makes me wanna do it too
Woohoo!
OMG I love this video. Stella is ADORABLE! Thanks Cas for giving some ideas for dialogue for my own kid.
Beautiful family and transformation. I agree Cass that everyone should have First Aid training. Always said school curriculum should have it along with budgeting, financial (banking), cooking, sewing and small carpentry skills. All skills you need for family or home life. 🏡 ❤😊
Completely agree! Life skills are so important, and I feel like it isn't even a consideration.
Stella's adorable!
Oh my gosh, more decluttering with kids who trust their hearts this much please!
I'll work on it!

Congratulations on your certification. That's a lot to be proud of. Where I worked (before I retired) when the officers were trained for CPR and the "zap" machine, so was the office staff. It's a lot of work, but rewarding. I even got to use my first aid skills one morning and helped saved a life. 😊
Good for you!
You are SO good with kids. Mom did SO well and the kids are amazing.
Thanks!
Stella inspires me! I kept saying “she is doing so good! She is only 3!” She did better than me, but I am going to go get my closet now
You are so funny! Love the blouse! Now I’m ready to empower my three grandchildren who live with us to start decluttering their rooms!!!! Thank you for the inspiration and the knowledge on how to go about this with kids.
You're so welcome!
So ADORABLE!! Cass you do so well at empowering kids. ❤ You empower us too!
Awesome!
WoW Cas these kids were amazing at letting go of stuff. At that age they're usually attached to things. Great job, if only I could be so brave.
We have a large tub with at least 400 little cars only in it😮
He's definitely a car lover!
She is so cute... I do this with my kids as well
God took his time making someone like you Cass ❤
Thank you for such a kind comment. I appreciate it so much.
That squeal from Stella said it all! ADORABLE!!!
She was precious.
Oh my goodness ... this is SO PRECIOUS! Cassius and Estella both did a great job. Estella definitely needs her own show!! Love, Love, LOOOOOVE ❤❤❤
:)
All I can say is wow ,so impressed on your organization skills and decluttering ❤😊
:)
Thank you, Cas! Thanks to the family who let their spaces onto RUclips!
I love watching these transformations, and the kids did great! Kids love to get rid of things that are too young for them bc they want to be more "grown up".
Glad you enjoyed it!
I would have loved to have someone helping me when my daughter was little. I still have toys in the basement that I'm going to get rid of. Cass, you save people everyday from their clutter and messy homes.😊👍
:)
The brand sticker on top of the laundry hamper in Cassius' closet is the only thing that triggers my ocd: so, I'm stoked about everything else.🤗
Great job everyone!
☮️❤️🙏🤜
Lol!
I'm a mum of 4 girls 10 and up now. wow the hours I spent sorting toys! Stella you rock 🎉❤
oh Cass, you were just so precious with those children! Great to watch! I think this video will help so many families.
