Enaz Lord haha. Haha. Haha. Haha. Haha. Haha. Haha. Haha. Haha. Haha. You’re really the funniest person on the planet. Wow I made a spelling mistake! That’s so funny.
The Pied Piper is much darker than simply leading the children away. You see, when the piper leads the rats away, he charms them into marching into a rushing river, wherein they're caught in the undertow and drown to death. When the piper returns to collect his due, the mayor refuses to pay his debt. The piper promises to collect payment whether in one form or another and gives the mayor till dusk to pay him or he would return to take something the townsfolk valued. Day slowly turns to night, the mayor doubting the piper could possibly steal anything from them; thinking he'd successfully duped the piper and gotten away scot-free. The night went on and soon the whole town drifted into slumber. Then came the piper, playing his magical instrument. His music sealed the adults within their dreams, ensuring none would stir, while the children were made to walk as his puppets. One by one, they all emerged from their homes and gathered near him, hopelessly unaware of their fate. Perhaps this was a mercy, for the piper marched them out of town...and into the very same river in which he'd lead the rats. There were no screams, no cries for help; not a sound did any make. Morning came and the townsfolk awoke, blissfully unaware of what had transpired. When they all began to realize their children were missing, they left no stone unturned. Not hide nor hair did they find of their children. Then a traveler wandered into town speaking of a haunting sight. "Bodies by the river! Bodies by the river!", he cried. The citizens ran to the river, remaining hopeful that it was not their children. But they only found their fears confirmed. Some of the bodies of the children had indeed washed up on the banks. Some but not all. The mayor vowed revenge against the piper, and promised a reward to any who slew the piper. But the piper had vanished and had collected his "valuable" due as he had promised.
It depends on the version you hear. Some have the Piper drown the children, some have him lead the children into the woods to kill them himself, sometimes he leads them away never to be seen again, sometimes he leads the children away to hide them until the parents, despairing at their loss, convince the mayor to pay the Piper what he's owed, and so the children are returned no worse for wear, not even afraid for having been away from their families.

So, while it may be a shout out to TES IV: Oblivion, it is also kind of funny to me that an Imperial agent carries a name that could be a joke towards our boy Ulfric, whose city emblem is a bear. Legends tell that the Herdsman (Bootes) chases the Great Bear around the pole, keeping his herd safe. The location of Arcturus in Bootes? The knee.
Yay, another RUclipsr mentioning Pumpkin the Fox! Foxes are my favorite animals, so of course he's my favorite on this list. I even had the other occupants of the cave run up and let him out once, though my companion ended up killing him there, I usually like to leave him alive.
The point of the last one on this list, I find, is actually some form of joke, I think. Back in ES4, assassins killed the emperor, rendering the blade's mission moot. Now, in Skyrim, a desendant of the Blades is killing the last members of an assassin guild.

The piper saga from Hameln is correct with the "he led the kids out of the town because he wasn't payed" version. Actually about 130 kids went missing in Hameln around that time so the saga was a way to explain that. Until today we don't know what actually happened and where the kids went. well, vegetable isn't a (or many) biological part of a plant, whereas "fruit" botanically refers to the organ of a plant containing the grain(s). So a pumpkin is a fruit (and a vegetable in culinary vocabulary) :p P.S.: I know where your pp comes from @___@
To even mess you up more, a pumpkin is in the same plant-family as a watermelon and cucumber. And they are all by botanical definition considered berries.

zealotmaster1 Considering that a farmer only workers sometimes are their kids and that majority of that area (if not all) food comes from them its safe to assume farmers in that era were wealthy
I am British and I can only speak for myself, I personally only know that Hamlet drove all the children into a lake. That was the story I was told. Others maybe different.
Hamlet is an entirely different character.

Yup, any Brit. worth his salt's gonna know Hamlet is from Shakespeare, not The Pied Piper story or Skyrim for that matter. : P
@@HareDeLune I would hope that the majority of people worldwide know that.
Guys, Hamlet is a little pig from the game Illusion of Gaia. Get your facts straight.
There needs to be a mod where you help Hamelyn build his monstrous skeever army and conquer whiterun.
Ah, Vingalmo's tetris, huh? Wonder if that's anywhere near as bad as the tetris of Versailles.
I mean, can you really consider the guys rooting out a cabal of death-worshipping assassins as the villians?
Thank you!
It should be noted that the Penitus Occulatus as the antagonists of their storyline, not the villains. The DB are the villains who act as the protagonists of their story.
@@joshuakim5240 duly noted. I still kill them with my good characters.
Stormcloak for life
Yes

Some potential material for a future video: at the very top of the lost Valley redoubt, if you look to the right and get to the other side of the river there (with whirlwind speed), you'll find a chest and a unique pair of enchanted boots (can't remember their name). I've never found anything about it on RUclips, even though I'm a subscriber of many Bethesda-focused youtubers...

There are others, but those are arguably the best guides.

Getting really tired of Nate saying "Castle Volikar"
11:45
Nate how could you mistake Nazhir for Nazeem??
2:34- “Vingalmo’s Tetris”
I love you Nate
“Vingalmo is actually a former thalmor!”
Well, that is a more reason to join The Dawnguard
You always find something interesting for me to look for while I play, keep up the good work!!!
Wait, so those dead reavers killed by the horkers, are from the Blood Horkers, the same faction of pirates that you needed to finish off with the east empire!
Vingalmo's Tetris? Didnt realize tetris was in Skyrim!
Have I missed you talking about Anise? As far as I know there is no mission for her, her cabin is right near Riverwood, she doesn’t seem to do anything but the instant you read the note in her basement even if you weren’t detected, she becomes hostile.
Dude.. I love these kind of videos... You're awesome
11:56 I didn't know that Nazeem was an assassin
Castle Voluckar!
Home of Vingalmo's Tetris!
LOL!! XD
Nate makes me laugh, hee-hee!
Nazeem the fiend! He's one of our assassin brothers now!
The piper saga from Hameln is correct with the "he led the kids out of the town because he wasn't payed" version. Actually about 130 kids went missing in Hameln around that time so the saga was a way to explain that. Until today we don't know what actually happened and where the kids went. Hameln is a beautiful town, if you ever come to Germany you might wanna visit it 😊😊
Obligatory comment to help the channel
Nate: ...But what you may also not have known about this crazy individual is that he is indeed based off of a real-life folk tale...
Me, thinking: Crazy, expelled from the academy, wants to get power through manipulating his minions, german real life folk tale... hmmm... I think someone else is also based off of this folk tale
Keep up the good work! This miniserie is just great!
I'm actually early.
Maybe Nate-senpai will finally notice me. 😃
Maybe if you call him Senpai?
@@fusrodahdaily9664 good idea

@@bambi1051 you cannot fail now :)
Okay
I don't feel so good Mr. Stark
11:40 this isn't even the first time he said nazeem instead of nazir
Vingalmo's Tetris
I wonder if you use a calm spell on Hamelyn, if his skeevers will also stop attacking. BRB.. I'm gonna load up my mage character and go pay this dude a visit... for science.
Nazeem?!
But when it comes to arcturus, we’re the villain
Pumpkin is a vegetable, not a fruit :P
well, vegetable isn't a (or many) biological part of a plant, whereas "fruit" botanically refers to the organ of a plant containing the grain(s). So a pumpkin is a fruit (and a vegetable in culinary vocabulary) :p
P.S.: I know where your pp comes from @___@
To even mess you up more, a pumpkin is in the same plant-family as a watermelon and cucumber. And they are all by botanical definition considered berries.
You are not messing me up. I was told at school that pumpkin, watermelon, melon, cucumber etc. are all vegetables, and that they are cucurbits.
Actually its a gourd not a veggi or fruit
In fact, i live a couple of miles from Hameln
(I only know the version where he kidnapped all the childrens)
Highlight of my day
My favourite character in this is definitely the Pied Piper of Hamlin because I played as him in a play when I was 11 😀
Remember that argonian dude that would come to us after the sanguine Quest well he came to me but before saying anything he was killed by Ice bois
