Out of all the Dark Brotherhood contracts, killing Narfi guilt tripped me the most. I was doing the "remain silent" achievement and found out that you can chat with the victims for another remain silent prompt. If you remain silent with Narfi, he freaks out and says something like "he can see the murder in your eyes" or something similar. After all the people who had acted disgruntled by my inconvenient presence or who outright mocked me for not speaking... The one dude who could see he was going to die (aside from the emperor) had to be the mentally unstable guy with no family left. No one to miss him. No one to hear him cry for help while I'm forced to fire an arrow in his face to silence him. I felt horrible.
I've roamed through Skyrim for nearly a thousand hours and still not met everyone, it seems. Truly, an amazing feat. I'll have to play again, has been too long.
The fact that Narfi has a dark brotherhood contract on his head breaks my heart. That's part of the reason why I couldn't bring myself to fulfill the missions of the brotherhood upon joining after killing Grelod (let's be honest, the way Grelod treats the children makes my blood boil everytime; but Narfi is just a very mentally distressed man, probably traumatized who's desperate to know what happened to his sister. I could never bring myself to kill the poor dude)
If I remember correctly, I don't think we ever find out who put a contract on him. However, I think it might have been the barkeep from the Inn in Ivarstead. He does seem suspicious about Narfi's sister's death...
Honestly. Cicero is still one of the strangest and most fun NPCs I've ever come across. I would watch an entire documentary on his past of it was available. How did he become Keeper? Why is he insane? Is it an act? When you come across him in the Dawnstar sanctuary he has a line "A joke! A funny one! Ahahahahaaa!... I get it." But he says 'I get it' with such eerie seriousness that I have to wonder if he truly is as much a Fool as the game let's on
With Narfi, I always thought the bartender had something to do with his sister's death. Or at least knows more than he seems too. Remember, he gives the player the quest to find the necklace and the player has the option to hand the necklace to him instead of Narfi to complete the quest.
That's what I thought, too. We might never know for sure, but I think he might have had something to do with her death. Maybe he tried to do something with her, she refused; or maybe she knew something about him that he didn't want anyone else to know 🤷🏽♂
I'm surprised this was the first video to include M'aiq. He's one of the best encounters you get! Just enough variety of M'aiqisms to always keep them entertaining.
7:39 so my gf was playing skyrim for the first time a bit ago and she had just arrived to ranveigs fast. She sniped one of the subjugated ghosts from a pretty fair distance and the game did a kill cam where the ghost said "im sorry this isnt what i want" just as it died.

After you return the neckless he has some dialogue saying that now he might be able to rest. Is heavily implied that Narfi might be a Werewolf, and thats why he can't rest and people in town try to avoid him.

Camelworks did a video on Narfi and gave a good amount of evidence to support his claim as to what happened. The innkeeper is potentially involved based on his responses and reactions to your questions.
Regarding Knjakr; the K is silent, and, I believe, it was Bethesda's attempt to make the word _knacker_ sound more Nordic by adding a /j/ sound. Like Knacker with a y in it, Knyacker. A knacker is, in a very (very) loose sense, a type of butcher that butchered dead animals and made tackle and harnesses with the hide. But Bethesda is a US company, so they probably just thought knacker meant butcher. Close enough, I figure.
I have a suggestion, I think you should try to branch out and try looking at characters and events across all of the elder scrolls series. Skyrim is big but it can't last forever and I watch your videos every day, I fall asleep to them every single night even if I've already watched them ill watch them again. I just think you should take it into consideration to maybe make your life easier. love you
The barkeep in Ivarstead, Wilhelm, should have been on the list. Or mention him next time? He is a bit off, especially with what he says if you report back to him after discovering the body of Narfi's sister.
I dont know if people remember the innkeeper mention the cave near the town, and how she shoulnt have got closer to that, and yes the cave is part of a cult that includes Draug Lords, so it was probably a member of the cult
@@TheOUTSIDER1995 I was not implying that he killed her, only that his saying, "Reyda! You saw Reyda? Did you tell her Narfi cries? Did you tell her Narfi never said goodbye like mother and father?" seems suspicious, as that is exactly what Narfi says. Though it could also be nothing more than a script error.

@@jamesshelton1127 Elder Scrolls Blades, TESO (that kind of game is made to make money this way, not for any RPG experience), they tried it with Skyrim with the creation club....don't worry greedy people can be creative when it comes to sucking money out of consumers (especially those with a certain addiction to it)... Ofc I exaggerated (I hope haha) to make a joke...but it's sadly not so far from reality, and I'm pretty sure we will get some sad surprises with TES 6 :/
Fun fact, if you use the bloodskal blade when fighting vilkas in the quest 'take up arms' he will actually class it as magic and use the dialogue he uses as if you used a spell. This works even without using the effects of the blade (power attack). Just a normal hit will do
I always thought that Kjeld the Younger was an NPC that was just given the wrong dialouge or that he was meant to be a child and they made a mistake but I like Nate's version better
The inn keeper killed narfi and order the dark brotherhood contract. When you find narfi sister 3 iron arrows get release from the body. And the inn keeper is the only one with a bow plus if tou pay attention it hints upon 3 other indicators
Do you get to the CLOUD DISTRICT very often. *Kills* Here you stand, talking to a still grieving widow, why? Am I that interesting? Or perhaps there are _other_ things on your mind. Yeah, right
My money is on M'aiq being one of the nine divines in the flesh or one of the unknown Daedric Prince's. Seeing as his title is "the liar" in every single game he appears in, I wouldn't trust any of what he says too much.
I have a silly not-to-be-taken-seriously theory I came up with when I started playing Skyrim. M'aiq is never acknowledged in-game by any NPCs or books as far as I know, he never seems to be going in any direction, he never sleeps or eats, and now I know from this video that he might be very very old. So here it is, Maiq is a sort of spirit watching over the most important hero at the time (at first I just thought it was the Dragonborn, didn't know he appeared in other games) for one of the nine divines, and has been doing so since the nords were still in atmora, but he started to get bored. He took on the persona of a Strange Khajit, who occasionally is "accidentally" seen by the great heroes and says weird things to amuse himself. He even gives advice once in a while or says things that could be true. Hell, maybe he can shout, just can't reveal his powers to the great heroes without angering whatever Divine he was sent to the nirn by.

Skyrim is big but it can't last forever and I watch your videos every day, I fall asleep to them every single night even if I've already watched them ill watch them again. I just think you should take it into consideration to maybe make your life easier. love you
I wonder if Kjeld's dialogue was placeholder lines until the recorded it with the boy voice actor and they just forgot to replace it lol.
The barkeep in Ivarstead, Wilhelm, should have been on the list. Or mention him next time?
He is a bit off, especially with what he says if you report back to him after discovering the body of Narfi's sister.
I love Wilhelm. But I do agree with this
@@Qunarr
I agree, he is a decently made character. He just made me suspicious, and I could only dig so deep on PS4 lol
I dont know if people remember the innkeeper mention the cave near the town, and how she shoulnt have got closer to that, and yes the cave is part of a cult that includes Draug Lords, so it was probably a member of the cult
@@TheOUTSIDER1995
I was not implying that he killed her, only that his saying, "Reyda! You saw Reyda? Did you tell her Narfi cries? Did you tell her Narfi never said goodbye like mother and father?" seems suspicious, as that is exactly what Narfi says.
Though it could also be nothing more than a script error.
Though her body IS next to the bridge, and not to close to the barrow.... hmmmmm.... (I always go find her before I kill Narfi. Two birds, one stone.)
Nate! Thank you once again for a great video!
Your videos are great and finding out about things I have not experienced in over 8 years just baffles me.
Keep up the good work broski,

Todd the liar: TES 6 at its heart is a pure elder scrolls game
TES 6: 10$ to unlock M'aiq the Todd
More like $600 to unlock final boss
That’s EA not Bethesda.
@@jamesshelton1127 are you from 2016..........
Nothing is impossible Just because Bethesda made fallout 76 doesn’t mean all their games have pay to win mechanics. It’s just the one.
This one is always happy to chat with M'aiq. Quite funny.
I just love him & the things he says
The inn keeper killed narfi and order the dark brotherhood contract. When you find narfi sister 3 iron arrows get release from the body. And the inn keeper is the only one with a bow plus if tou pay attention it hints upon 3 other indicators
Nice, the end of the first character is a pun. That works great for making people like the video!
nice vid
What the juice what you doing here
M'aiq: M'aiq wishes you well.
Dragonborn: You bastard!
Do you get to the CLOUD DISTRICT very often.
*Kills*
Here you stand, talking to a still grieving widow, why? Am I that interesting? Or perhaps there are _other_ things on your mind.
Yeah, right
I'll never be tired of your videos Nate! :D
Weirdest character in Skyrim?
Isn’t it obvious?
Nazeem.
I hope Nazeem gets sat on by a mammoth and sent up to the cloud district by a giant.
Heresy! M'aiq
You saying this made me realize I have yet to see him in my most resent play through. I bet if I load it up he will be right there lol
Kjeld had a bit of a voices glitch lmao with his son at the end of that conversation
My money is on M'aiq being one of the nine divines in the flesh or one of the unknown Daedric Prince's. Seeing as his title is "the liar" in every single game he appears in, I wouldn't trust any of what he says too much.
You are my favorite skyrim youtuber sorry for taking so long to subscribe
8:50 damn your kill cam got robbed
"Three to five years from now"
Oof
"...dead...lock LEAVE ME ALONE!"
it's always a delight popping in and out of your channel
Fan Theory: M’Aiq is an agent or victim of Sheogorath.
“...the Elder Scrolls 6-three to five years from now.” Oof.
Hi guys, movie here. And epicnate is an exceptionally large channel filled with funny quotes, great visuals and mispronunciation. From fallout mysteries to skyrim tiny details theres alot this man has had time to refrence and poke fun at and it's kinda hard to keep track of them all. So sit back and relax because today we are going to be looking at the top 5 most "epic" Nate moments on RUclips that you might not have seen, part 1

Well it has been 3 years, see you in 2023.
Well its 2024 see you in 2027
Funniest thing in the video: Nate things TES 6 is only 4-5 years away. Cute
Nate is being unusually optimistic here. =)
I hope you never stop finding new things in these games, Nate. But I say that out of love
