- Skyrim is a game that offers the player an abundance of choices and big decisions to make, often leading to some notable consequences. In The Elder Scrolls 5, most of the choices we’re handed are rather cloudy from a moral perspective. But some of the things we can do in Skyrim are indeed downright evil. So today we’ll be taking a look at five more evil things you can do and may have missed in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

Actually in the opening it’s said that you tried to cross the border a minor crime this explains why you weren’t on the death list you were meant to go to prison instead you were at the wrong place and time
I downloaded a mod where my child can bring home any animal/monster. Long story short she brought home a Draugr Deathlord, and my son brought home a Frost Troll.

I killed Lemkil in my play through, and his daughter Sissel sent me a letter thanking me for killing him with some gold included.

On my mage character, I carefully plotted his death with the express intention of adopting Sissel as a daughter/apprentice, and leaving her horrible bullying brat of a sister, Britte, in the orphanage. Just before he went into his house for the night, I dropped a Shock Rune trap onto his bed, then went stealthed/invisible in the corner of the room and watched him blast himself to kingdom come. Some time after that, I swung on by the orphanage and picked up Sissel, who seemed pretty happy to be an only child. No regrets here, I tell you.
I killed Lemkil, and because I had hearthfire, both girls ended up in honorhall orphanage. I adopted the sister that gets picked on by her sister and dad, then left the other at the orphanage

Cicero didnt go crazy. He was trying to remove Astrid. Mind you Vazeera jumped in front saving Astrids life and receiving what wouldve and couldve been a fatal attack but wasnt. Cicero has control there, he just injuried Vazeera and Abjorn to the point they wont pursue him. He never killed them, never went on a blind murder binge, he had a target and he knew that with the blasphemous leader gone, the others would have to listen to the Listener
And any devout member of the Brotherhood would leave Cicero alone if that is the Dread Father's wish. I always do.

One of my twisted deeds was this: In the quest for Azura's Star I went on with the Black Star and came back for Aranea the priestess at the shrine, I proceeded to drain her soul into the Black Star and then raised her from the dead as a permanent thrall afterwards I enchanted a sword with her soul from the Black Star and equiped her with it.

I trapped the priestess in the Star just to screw with her and enchanted my sword to soul trap with it. Not only was her artifact desecrated and she forced to be in it, but now she is forced to trap others within the desecrated artifact... and refuel with their souls as well.

When my kid had a pet I let him keep it. Then I gave him a dagger and when he was practicing on the dummy his pet walked in the way and got killed... I never had laughed so hard at this game before.

That's my first usual personal assassination. Sissel loves her new home with her new brothers and sisters. They all are equally spoiled with treats, daggers, homemade sweets.
I always thought it was messed up how after the dark brother hood events you can keep 75% of the gold and just go spend the gold on whatever. Those poor npcs went through all that so I could buy and upgrade lake view manor
Why would you become a professional hitman if you didn't even get to keep the money?
Honestly, what's even more messed up is the reward for the mission. 20k gold for killing the emperor is hella low all things considered. You can make that much money just buy plucking some flowers, fish and insects and mixing them together for potions. It's not even enough to buy a house in solitude.

What do you people not understand. "Crime" is about breaking law. All around Skyrim killing Dragons are legal. morality=/=law=/=ethics:
Ethics - philosophical thoughts about what's good and what's bad
Morality - rules about good and bad in certain group
Law - codified rules about how to do and how to don't do things.
And yes, breaking law is generally MOS OF TIME immoral and often it may be ethical. For example Christian saving Jew in country occupied by Nazis breaks law, but what he does IS ethical (and moral in his group to be fair). Christian performing abortion in case of pregnancy being dangerous to pregnant woman, in country where abortion is illegal breaks law, breaks Christian moral code, but ethically it's questionable (with 3 options: unethical, ethical and actually not being about ethic as in both scenarios you would cause death and ethics is only about good-bad, not equals).
Killing Paarthurnax isn't crime, is questionable about ethic and problematic about morality as Dragonborn is member of 2 factions with different rules about it (still it CAN be judged on morality lvl as for Blades killing Dargons is always 100% moral and for Greybeards killing this particular Dragon is unquestionable immoral so choices aren't equal).

I have never killed any of my characters' kid's pets or told them they couldn't keep them.
I _have_ given them upgraded Wooden Swords that they were excited about ... and then they accidentally killed their _own_ pets while whacking at the combat dummy.
I felt bad the first time that it happened, then got over it when I realized that the animal got to go straight to Sovngarde for dying a warrior's death, so it was all good. =)

Cello Seras yeah, they don’t. They actually play tag with other kids in the city if you’re in Whiterun and they collect things from within the city and I always give my kids 1000 gold when they ask for an allowance.

My father went into his house in Whiterun during the civil war attack. Killed the rat of the kid BEFORE he could ask.
After the attack the kid asked if he could keep THE NOW DEAD RAT.
The dead rat follows the kid no moving houses can fix this. The rat's corpse will spawn in somewhere the house and when the kid moves to a different area it will teleport.

The first time I did "Mourning Never Comes" I didn't have a stealthy character. So I decided to assassinate Nilsine Shattershield by abusing the fact that you don't get bounties for killing people while you're transformed as a werewolf as long as no one sees you transform. I went into Hjerim because I had the key from "Blood On The Ice" and knew it was empty, transformed, then rushed out, and attacked Nilsine. I caught her in front of the family home and randomly did the werewolf kill cam where you pick someone up and crush their head between your hands. Then I ran off into the night.
So basically, a werewolf burst out of her sister's old home (which was also the lair of the man who killed said sister), brutally murdered her, and left her mutilated corpse on her family's doorstep... so yeah.
Didn't even realize how horrible what I'd done was until I was fleeing Windhelm. Simultaneously felt really terrible and laughed my ass off.
Plus her mother kills herself after losing both of her daughters, truly a despicable act.

No matter what I do, Malborn ALWAYS dies. In my most recent playthrough, I managed to get him out but a surprise Dawnguard attack resulted in his death
I escorted him like 40 minutes, he went all the way down to the Windhelm. He went east of the map. When he is on the edge of the map he just disappeared. So i think it means i saved him
I "accidentally" killed my daughter's snow fox once... bent the laws of time to make it right and erace her memory of the event

Didn't realize Hakar was a unique encounter because, when he showed up for me, Hakar was not being chased by vampires, he was all alone just walking about and got murdered by my bored vampire PC. I guess that means I was the vampire trying to kill him in the encounter?

Remember the Lighthouse quest, crashing the ship? I killed the sister when she attacked, used Undead Thrall on her, then paralyzed her brother while she killed him. Not so much evil as viciously vengeful, but still.
I’m 32 years old. The first evil thing triggered a memory of my mom telling me our cat Jellybeans being sent away to live on a farm.

methionyl I don’t know if parents still do this but sometimes when an animal is put down the parents tell their kids they sent them to a ‘farm’ instead of having to explain death.

@@aidyplays1013 maybe where you are, but where I am in the UK, kids just get told the pet gets put down. If the animal gets hit by a car, then they might get told the pet 'ran away' instead, but that's it. Maybe because the area is actually pretty farm heavy?
The only (local) person I know who got lied to about that was told her canary got a job delivering letters to Hogwarts. Hardly sent to a farm.

Had something I didn't intend. There's a glitch in the game that causes anyone currently speaking to the DB through random dialogue to be transported with you if you enter a building or fast travel. Can't tell you how many uninvited guests I've had just trying to enter Breezehome. Well, one day I was in Solitude and apparently one of the shop owners was roaming the streets at the time and stopped to have a chat, RIGHT as I fast traveled to a cave several miles away. A pack of wolves leapt out at me but I ignored them and ran inside. After clearing the cave, I emerge and find the dead body of the shop owner from Solitude. That was the most confusing thing I'd ever had happen. I apparently decided to bring this woman along with me, then left her to be killed by wolves.
Used console commands to bring her back though.
I had a hilarious glitch chain at one point. That Breezehome thing happened... with Nazeem. I fully intended on murdering him in the privacy of my own home, but he suddenly went into T-pose and floated at running speed across the floor and up the edge of the stairs to the second floor. As soon as he reached the top, he went into full-body ragdoll physics spasm and was stuck there. Even after I exited the house and came back, he was still there, so I used Unrelenting Force to knock him loose, and he went rocketing off through the front wall. My cousin managed to trap himself in his own house with a very angry blood dragon once. Every time he reloaded the save, he was in the house and immeadiately got munched by the dragon, so he had to restart the entire game from the beginning! I thought it was hillarious!!
I had something similar happen on PS3, I fast traveled right after talking to Parthonax, but as he was still speaking, causing the npcs of the town to attack him as a dragon threat, and kill Parthonax, thus causing the Greybeards to become permanently hostile towards me
Adopted Hroar because I thought he was adorable (also first child I adopted ever). Come home to Lakeview Manor, a skeever is literally ON THE DINING ROOM TABLE. Hroar asks if we could keep it. I was so shocked that I just burst out laughing. My first Skyrim family consisted of me, Aela as my wife, Hroar our adopted son, and the skeever, which I began calling "Richard" for no particular reason. Fond memories of my first ever character.
For me, Malborn died in the end cave by the yeti. I wasn't strong enough to kill it very fast or get its attention and it murdered Malborn in 2 hits. I felt terrible lol.

I got that letter to attack his kids once. Instead of beating up the kids I brutally murdered Lemkil soul trapped him using Azura's Star and enchanted a necklace with the most useless enchantments I could think of. I then adopted both of the kids and gave the necklace to one of the kids. Will teach him to ask the Dragonborn to hurt children. I usually do the same sort of thing to Grelod the Kind so what can I say I hate child abusers.
I went werewolf on Grelod once. That was satisfying.

The other detail about Lemkil and his daughters is that one of the girl is bullying and beating the other one. So I think it still makes sense to beat that one bully girl.
The poor other seems so nice (actually normal) and she even tries to learn some destruction magic with the old guy.

Our last playthrough recently had the dragonborn turn into a werewolf in the companion's building after the leader got killed because we were going to eat the silverhands, and the companions all turned against us. Had to load the previous save and try again. Lydia on the other hand, doesn't have a problem with it.@@austenmullennix6378

to be fair, that's one of the reasons why this game stands out among hundreds of other similar titles, the moral dilemmas and questionable choices you have to make... no right or wrong answers, necessarily, just a reflection of your own character... and having made your choices, you get to review them and see your reflection in the mirror.
Very intelligent script writing, worthy of an Oscar for the writers. 9 years on and this is still the game to beat (on that score)... the bar is pretty high, the gaming community is waiting...

The first time I played skyrim I never knew that kids could adopt pets so when I came home to my child with a pet mudcrab I legit nearly shot the thing with an arrow. Right as I was getting an arrow ready my child interrupted me with the dialogue asking to keep it. Right when the dialogue started the arrow was set loose. Thankfully it wasn't fully drawn so it came up just short of the mudcrab.
I did the same thing my child had a skeeve lucky i missed It when I shot at it keep em than bandits attacked my home stead the skeever which my child named rocky dieyed protecting em latter I found out he went to sovengard.

I like to think that the single most impactfull and evil action you can take is joining the Dark Brotherhood and finishing all of their main missions. Killing off Victoria Vici (Empire connections) will lead to suspicion of her husband (Stormcloak connections) having something to do with it thus allowing to further fuel the hatred of both factions for each other. The main reason though is killing the Emperor (who is of Alessia's blood) which basically means breaking the deal between the 1st Empress of the Empire - Queen Alessia and the aedra Akatosh/Auri- El. This means that the aedra will no longer deny the entrance of any daedra or portal into Nirn and thus allowing for another Planemeld or Oblivion Crisis until another descendant of Alessian blood sits upon the Ruby Throne.
I'm a little bit late to respond to this but I think that the emperor that gets killed off in the beginning of Oblivion is the last emperor of Alessian bloodline.
This emperor is not of Alessian bloodine so it doesn't really matters since the dragon fires are now lit perpetually. It's been a while since i refreshed my oblivion lore tho so i might be wrong

Killed a bandit in Rorikstead, got a letter from Lemkil asking me to beat up his own children, decided that NOT turning his children into orphans would probably put their lives in danger eventually, killed Lemkil, resurrected his corpse, then killed him again, distentergrating him. No equivelent of Protective Services seems to exist, so that was really the only option.

Dustwarewolf 55 I once soul trapped him with black soul gem. Used the conjeration spell to Resurrect him permanently to carry my crap. And used his soul to enchanted a ring and put it on a manikin in my war room. So in the end I stole his soul and turned his body into a slave. Very satisfactory feeling
