Mr. Al Stay on PC? I find it odd you say that as both consoles have sold more copies than the PC (each console on their own of course) and besides, they could have added more on PC if they wanted too. And let’s not forget, very many PC’s run Skyrim moderately at best, and having Skyrim be even bigger to the point consoles couldn’t handle it would also mean very man PC’s wouldn’t be either. You are defiantly the type of person to complain that if the kid whose parents make very little income gets free food at lunch, so should you Lmao.
Tip for a (very) tiny detail: When you complete that random encounter with Cicero and his broken wagon, it counts as a Dark Brotherhood Quest in the stats page, which would be a bit confusing If you are playing for the first time and have no idea that he is even part of the DB.
Huh thats neat, i doubt it ever spoiled anyone (i dont know anybody who checks their stats page that early in the game) but its an interesting little technical thing
Actually Seren's pregnancy is easier to learn about than you thought Nate, if you ask if he is in charge of the forge he will tell you that he works with his wife who is with child and that she is concerned the baby won't learn about redguard culture in Skyrim before asking you to bring him a copy of Night Falls on Sentinel if you find one.
I did that! Was really confused by the last fact because of it. You get a really sweet dialogue from them and they always greet you when you pass their house/forge afterwards. Also counts as helping a citizen of dawnstar, perhaps even two because I was able to turn in the 3/3 to the jarl immediately after getting the task from him.
Not going to lie, Seren is probably one of my favorite town NPCs just because we get to know so much about her (for NPC stardards) and it's clear that she and husband seem very happy together. It's hard to see that dynamic in Skyrim because most NPCs are so flat or not expanded on enough to be relatable. Whenever the umpteenth million dragon spawns in Dawnstar, I always check to be sure those two are still around.
Her husband is my favorite blacksmith always smiling an just a joy to be around in such a depressing place, she died in one of my playthroughs from a vampire attack.. Watching how depressed he became afterwards made me avoid dawnstar altogether.
I love characters like her lol They aren't big heroes or villains with a part in the grand plot of the game, but simple people like you and me. It makes the world feel more alive
@@thedoomslayer5863 Seren is the dragon born?? That joke aside, I was referring to seren in this case. Who is just a pregnant lady with wishes of moving to her home country.
An interesting thing I've noted about Seren and Rustleif is their names. Seren means "star" in Welsh and her husband is from DawnSTAR. Rustleif's name roughly translates to "red descendant", and his wife is a REDguard woman. Also, the dawn can be red, meaning their names may be a combination meant to represent Dawnstar itself.
When I found out a character was actually pregnant in Dawnstar I was actually really happy and whenever I visited I would try to remember her and make sure no random encounter showed up to hurt her. ^_^

Nightcaller Temple is listed as a former military fort, and I wondered who built it. If you read through Ice and Chitin it makes it clear that the forts (abandoned in the time of the Skyrim game) were built by Emperor Reman to defend against the Akavirii invasion. So, Nightcaller Temple (aka Tower of the Dawn) was most likely an Imperial fort built to look out for and defend against Akavirii invaders coming in from the Sea of Ghosts.
I've been looking for you. Got something I'm supposed to deliver - your hands only. Let's see here... There's a new museum opening up in Dawnstar. The owner is asking me to hand out invitations to travelers. Looks like that's it. Got to go.
Another fun fact for y'all. Ever notice how the Dremora refer to their lord as Dagon even though he's officially known as Mehrunes Dagon? There's a reason for it. Not too sure on the sources, but Mehrunes Dagon was once referred to as Dagon the Leaper Demon, as he was capable of jumping in and out of time-space, escaping the Kalpic Cycles whenever he pleased. The Kalpic Cycles are basically the beginning and end of all things within the universe, but the notion suggests a place *outside* those parameters that the cycle doesn't affect. Apparently it was Alduin's job to put stuff in his mouth and escape the cycle so when time began anew, what he ate would be regurgitated back (twists the whole "defeat the world-eater" on its head, eh?). IIRC, he's older than Akatosh even though he's the Time God's son. There's a lot of lore in this concept and how the stability of Nirn plays a big part in all that, but I digress. Anyway, because Dagon had this ability, the other Daedra were kind of annoyed by it, so Meridia made Mehrunes the Razor and gave it to Dagon, effectively changing his nature and binding him to the current Kalpic Cycle, hence the new namesake. Dagon, however, doesn't like the change, so his Dremora lackeys continue to call him Dagon to spite it.
If I remember correctly you can get a quest from Rustleif, which also revolves around bringing up the child. I think it was something about that she was also worried the child would be foreign to Hammerfell's culture, so he had the idea of getting a book about it, so it can grow up with it, ultimately sending you on the quest of finding it🤔
Seriously Nate I thank you for doing these videos, when I first subscribed to you I was finally getting a copy of Skyrim for my PS4 (about a year ago) and I originally thought I would watch you only for tips and tricks but now your truly one of my favorite content creators on RUclips and I truly hope you get immortalized in the elder scrolls universe as an NPC. Great vid, Nate! Also got a tiny detail for ya (or a few, if you want to count each instance individually): if you go to Wolfskull cave before visiting the Blue Palace and talking to Falk, the pit you drop into will be blocked off, and instead of necromancers, the place will be inhabited by a few bandits. You'll find a similar situation in Dimhollow Crypt (Dawnguard quest), Ustengrav (Main Quest), and most likely a few other dungeons
I always thought the city being named Dawnstar was a reference to the Devil, Lucifer Morning Star, and served as a hint to the fact two Daedric Quests and the Dark Brotherhood lurk in this town.

Except it's very hard to tell because they live in separate houses, own competing mines, talk sh*t about each other, and also (not 100% sure) but pretty sure he's the one who made a contract for her death during the radiant quests in the Dark Brotherhood
Here's a small detail: If you choose to complete the quest from the temple of mara people (I think it's called "The book of Love" or something) through the point in the quest where you hook up calcelmo with faleen, and then choose to do the thieves guild questline afterward, when doing the quest in calcelmo's lab (Hard answers) and you ask him for a key, there is a unique dialogue unlocked where he will actually give you the key regardless of speech skill at the time because you found love for him

A small fact that I just found out (the hard way) in my latest Skyrim play thru is that using a torch within certain caves or mines can cause the gas around you to light and explode! Causing damage to yourself and any close by. AKA The Orcs at Gloombound Mine now hate me haha! XD This may be a well known fact for some but for me who hasn't ever really utilised a torch as a method of lighting a dark area it was a first for me! (Up until now I had simply used a Light Spell)
The Cyrodilic empire we see in Skyrim is actually not the Septim dynasty. The Septim dynasty died with Martin Septim. Between the events of Oblivion & Skyrim, Titus Mede conquered the Imperial City and started the Mede dynasty.
Not sure if it's been covered yet, but I do wanna point out that a few years ago, I shouted UF at Malkoran and it knocked Dawnbreaker off its pedestal. After getting all the gold from the bodies, I left and it gave me another one. So, I dual-wield em for draugr dungeons
8:30 literally permanently changed all my playthroughs of skyrim forever. I'll never join Dark Brotherhood again. This and killing Norfi are by far the hardest contracts for me. From a moral standpoint
The fact that the idea of ending Seren's life and possibly her unborn child, made me think of what happened on one of my save files, of course the death of her and her unborn child wasn't my fault, a dragon just flew over Dawnstar and somehow Seren got caught up in trying to fight it but failed and got killed, so, that made me a bit sad for her husband. Although he didn't seem to notice that she was lying there dead on the ground.
Tip for a tiny detail if ur completing the forsworn conspiracy at the completion point when the 3 gaurds confront u in the shrine of Talos if you kill them and leave the shrine the gaurds will confront u and you have multiple dialogue options based on ur faction allegiances. We need back story. What is his class, race, faction affiliation(s), likes and dislikes of other npc’s, and so much more. Here is my guess: Class: Former Monk Race: Breton (but oddly tall) Affiliation: Moth Priests, Mages Guide, Bards college alumni, friends with a former Dragonborn’s companion. He just appears, after the player has spent at least 15mins in game with a book open, in an Inn. The player can buy him different types of drinks for different types of historical events. He will even give you theories if he has had to much to drink. After leaving a conversation he will say, “Very much appreciated, peace outward.” I want to hear more Nate lore fan fiction now haha.
“The Septim Empire, the same empire the Stormcloaks want to get away from.” Incorrect. It’s the Mede Empire the Stormcloaks want to get away from. It hasn’t been the Septim Empire since Martin.
I got the anniversary edition, and the aylied ruin quest. Just made me want to play oblivion again. It was a blast from the past. I will have to get one of my older consoles up and running since they absolutely refuse to remake the fourth and third one.
As much as I might want to like Dawnstar I try to avoid the place very much. I only go there if I have to as part of Dark Brotherhood missions. The reason why I avoid Dawnstar is that I hate always getting attacked by Dragons, especially when Dragon attacks kill interesting characters, whenever I go to Dawnstar. Dragons. Every. Single. Time.
Imagine if you could meet some random blacksmith in Hammerfell in Elder Scrolls 6,and through dialog you discover its actually child of this blacksmith pair.
I think it's a reference to a French Comic Book "Asterix et Obelix" they are depict as warrior using a magic potion which give them the strength to keep safe the only village that is not under Caesar rule and it's kind of the comic relief of the whole thing

5 things they never told me as a kid.. 1. i m a d o p t e d
8:30 literally permanently changed all my playthroughs of skyrim forever. I'll never join Dark Brotherhood again. This and killing Norfi are by far the hardest contracts for me. From a moral standpoint
last time I was this early Dawnstar was its own game
The fact that the idea of ending Seren's life and possibly her unborn child, made me think of what happened on one of my save files, of course the death of her and her unborn child wasn't my fault, a dragon just flew over Dawnstar and somehow Seren got caught up in trying to fight it but failed and got killed, so, that made me a bit sad for her husband. Although he didn't seem to notice that she was lying there dead on the ground.
Last time I was this early Todd was in his chess club
thats early 😎
@@checkcheck1579 yep 😎
Tip for a tiny detail if ur completing the forsworn conspiracy at the completion point when the 3 gaurds confront u in the shrine of Talos if you kill them and leave the shrine the gaurds will confront u and you have multiple dialogue options based on ur faction allegiances. Been playing the game for years had dozens of play throughs just realized this today.
wait what
Last time i was this early, Tiber Septim still used the Thu'um.
The fact it’s 2020 and Skyrim still poppin
Oh
Oh..
I remember rampaging through Dawnstar and killing everyone, I feel bad for murdering the civs to death now
It's been great having you step up your vids as I sit vegitating in front of my computer monitor. Thanks, lol.
Last time I was this early I still had my sweetroll

Is it weird that Nates voice keeps me company whilst I play Skyrim?
Video: When translated from Latin
Latin Major: I'm not the only one who noticed!
“An unfortunate dynamic” true. That story is really sad. Interesting they added that dialogue. If you’re sharp enough to catch it, it’s really sad.

Are they of the "sweet little" variety?

Clicking finger: It's my time.
We need back story. What is his class, race, faction affiliation(s), likes and dislikes of other npc’s, and so much more. Here is my guess:
Class: Former Monk
Race: Breton (but oddly tall)
Affiliation: Moth Priests, Mages Guide, Bards college alumni, friends with a former Dragonborn’s companion.
He just appears, after the player has spent at least 15mins in game with a book open, in an Inn. The player can buy him different types of drinks for different types of historical events. He will even give you theories if he has had to much to drink. After leaving a conversation he will say, “Very much appreciated, peace outward.”
I want to hear more Nate lore fan fiction now haha.
Imagine being first. This post was made by the 4 hours late gang
Thanks for making this video ♥️😊
Had to replay the start cause I thought he said 'a shimmering genital wort'
“If you’re super lucky, and you do some immaculate detective work-“
“I’m pregnant.”
Donstar
Dorkstar? Starsdrawn? Dawnstore?

Dude I genuinely look forward to your videos now a days. Thank you; they’re great 👍
I just watch a Minecraft video and he made a village of cat and some people in the comments said “khajiit has ware if you have the coin”
