Would the car know not to park in a reserved spot? What about avoiding pedestrians while parking? Or two way traffic? There are just too many variables, and issues with this particular feature. However, its a very nice vehicle.
It does, like you saw with the Mercedes. It has sensors that relay information and have it stop to wait for pedestrians and so on. Plus it has cameras in around it which can see the reserved spots.
That is funny, because my 2016 Skoda Octavia can do all of this (keep in me in the lane (Active lane assist) adaptive CC, 360 parking sensors, front and rear camera and auto park in a spot that it finds suitable.) All of that for just 36000€ :)
What if it cannot find a spot to park? Or it parks itself at a permit lot or no internet access spot... also wondering how does it pay for the parking?
Audi is the worst. 1. The owner doesn't see if it's actually going to a parking space. 2. So then what's happening when it can't find an empty parking spot.

Just wondering what would happen if only you left the car in auto parking mode then you forgot that the entrance to the parking lot costs you money and u gotta take the parking ticket first while nobody is in the car... then unfortunately there are other cars queuing up to enter the parking lot while your auto parking car gives up and just staying still and blocking other cars to go in...
