- In this video we install sound deadening for our 1997 Nissan Hardbody and test the results to see what the real world difference is. This is one of the best bang for buck upgrades you can do to really upgrade the drivability and comfort to actually enjoy driving your old and probably crappy project car.
The hoodie I am wearing is available! Join us in celebrating one year of content with this hoodie, designed by us with our first cars that started our passion, our 1986 Nissan 300ZX's. Link here! dananddavesgar...

Really positive DIY Video. Yoiur use of the new vinyl really upgraded the look of the inside. Two thumbs up and, I'm gettin a Hoodie! Hi to dad.
Thanks a lot for the support! It really was a toss up at the upholstery shop if I should go with a bass fishing printed cloth or the vinyl. I decided to be normal for once and I'm happy with how it turned out.
More fire content. Was gonna add some more soundproofing to my wife’s Prius
Do it!
i bet different tires would help some too
That's true. I debated on having just light truck highway tires or A/Ts but with so many forest roads, trails, and snow potential I just went for the A/Ts.
I'm currently in the process of repairing my headliner. I have my truck all torn apart already. This was a great video. I'm gonna do this while I have all the interior out. Thanks!
Thanks, I'd definitely recommend to try out the closed cell foam + butyl mat rather than just the butyl.
Fantastic video, I have a 1992 WD21 Pathfinder and they tend to get more sound deadening from factory but I'm looking to see if i can take it another step. I'm praying this video gets blessed by the algorithm some day.
Thanks, it probably won't ever get picked up by the algorithm, but that's fine.
The biggest limitations with the WD21 are just that it's a brick. At some point, you can cut out vibrations, but you won't ever get rid of the wind noise. If I were to do it again, I would go with the closed cell foam + butyl mats cut down any noise just to give it the best chance of quieting down.
Ordered a Hoodie on Monday or Tuesday, in my Nevada mailbox 4 days later. Good quality, warm! The 300 ZX's on the front look good.
I'm glad it made it out to you! We experimented a bit before we settled on a design. I'm really happy to hear it sounds like it paid off.
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks
Should have done the door skins. That helped my truck the most after the roof.
Too late now, sold the truck
He didn't install killmat behind the rear speakers
It's most noticeable in heavy rain
This would go for 4k in Florida
