I respect this guy a lot.
Amazing songwriter who unashamedly lived the rock and roll dream we all secretly long for. Did all the drugs he wanted and was famous as fuck.
But...when the fame passed, and he got sober....he still wrote good music and actually grew into an even more likable guy.
He's easy to respect. Good guy.
I love that he admits he's not a workaholic and he wants to bum around for a year, pisses me off when pop stars go on about how hard they work

Noel is hilarious. "... the lead singer of Oasis was obsessed with John Lennon to the point of lunacy."
His last story about buying a computer & that there is "nothing on the internet" reminded me of Karl Pilkington.

I've never been a "fan" of the buzz that I have heard as to who Noel Gallagher is/was, but this video has got me taking a second look at this guy.

Honestly, one of the best interviews I have ever seen of Noel. And I don't mean it was the funniest or edgiest, but it was extremely honest and informative. The new album is great, and it was nice getting some good information behind the songs. The interviewer is miles ahead of most others out there.

Such a shame that before Noel releases Chasing Yesterday, Jian is being charged of being sexually abusive and removed from Q. Guess we'll never get an answer to that one question.

@mancunianoasis man, Liam founded with the other three guys a band called THE RAIN. Noel really was the last one to join the band that would record Definitely Maybe, but 'Oasis' is a name suggested by the Chief, the guy that is being interviewed above our comments.

He's definitely dropped the Mancunian accent, and started sounding like a nice London boy, both language and attitude wise, unlike his brother. As for Liam, I still need subtitles.
I think it’s just because he’s been away from Manchester for so long. Liam puts it on a bit imo. Part of his ‘persona’.

So down to earth, there's no 'rock star' trappings about Noel Gallagher, its such a weird thing with him and Liam though! He can't help the odd sly dig at his brother..
Noel gives a great interview, but the interviewer here was great as well. Did his research and didn't ask the same 5 questions Noel's been asked by every interviewer before.

@Karomarr AGAIN: NO. Liam came when there were ALREADY a band called Rain, and the singer was Chris Hutton. LIAM gave the name Oasis, from a poster he had seen, there was written "Oasis Leisure Centre, Swindon".

it was 50/50- they wouldn't have got big without liam's distinctive voice either, so you could argue there's no need (although maybe he should show some recognition)

He IS one of the greatest writers EVER. If you don't overly like his music don't let that get in the way of appreciating the album upon album of timeless classics. Name anyone who can compete outside of The Beatles.

Josh Groban is the male equivalent of Adele. So my friend lets get real that's a voice. And Josh Groban is not an egomaniac, just a really nice guy with a great voice
If u watch a lot of Noel's interviews, as well as other members of Oasis when they talk about Noel, he comes across as being quite a loner with a fairly uneventful life outside of his music career. I think he's a very private person, he hardly ever talks about his personal life in interviews and as he mentions at 04:22 he doesn't feel the need to be in the public eye all the time. I've found him to be a bit of an enigma.....the image seems to be far removed from the real man.

You've obviously never watched early Oasis interviews from 1994-95. theres one in sweden where he says something along the lines of how he doesnt write, so he's a fan of Noel, and that all he needs is the Beatles and Noel.
