    I feel sorry for people who avoid doing things they want to do with their phone just because the battery will go down fast. I mean, why not enjoy your phone and do everything, right? 🤷‍♂️ My iPhone 13PM is now at 86% batt health after 1yr and 5mos. I play heavy games and charge it whenever I want. Fast charging in general will kill your battery. The problem is people want to use their phones 24/7 and can’t be without their phones. I’ve been using apple slowest chargers for several years and my health on my iPhone 13 Pro is STILL at 100% after a year 😊

      Ridiculous! Lithium-polymer batteries are modern and won’t «kill your battery» 🤣. Lithium ion batteries are the exception - but only Apple used this archaic tech. You know, there are modern technologies that are deemed to expensive for Apple 😂. Charging an iPhone 14 Pro Max with a 27 wattage charger will speed up the charging my 2 whole minutes compared to 20W.

    I just use the regular Apple wall power adapter, and my maximum capacity is still at 100%. Many have complained about the wireless or MagSafe chargers as the culprit; which would make sense because one is constantly cycling the battery with multiple charge. Therefore, degrading the battery’s shelf life sooner.

    I have an old iPad charger, the 12w one and when I charge with that, the phone doesn’t heat up at all.. I feel it’s this fast charging along with the heavy software that’s causing the drain..

    • @saitabla
      @saitabla 9 месяцев назад +1

      I think you’re right, the issue could be the 20W fast chargers. I’ve used the same Apple brand one for my iPhone 12 and now my iPhone 14 pro and found the battery deteriorated rapidly, even though I keep my phone charged between 40-80% most days. Heat is another issue, I found the phone gets quite hot while charging. My iPhone 14 pro is at 90% battery life now. Wonder if the USB-C chargers on the new iPhone 15 will make a difference.

  • @xmattperkins

    I can't say much about the iPhone 14 Pro but I used MagSafe to charge my iPhone 14 Pro Max and I also had beta software always installed. I got my iPhone 14 Pro Max the day it came out and it's still has 99% battery health. I also don't ever use low power mode. And I'm known to let my phone get to under 20% before charging. So really the only difference between us is where you live is hotter than where I live (Ohio) and I don't use background app refresh for many apps because generally it's pointless. However I can generally squeeze a full day out of my iPhone, sometimes 2 if it's a slower day. I'm no longer using my iPhone 14 Pro Max since I upgraded to the 15 Pro Max but 99% battery health after a year's usage is good and it didn't fall under 100% until 2 weeks before the iPhone 15 Pro Max was announced

    I just replaced my iphone 13 pro battery. It was at 81% and 850 cycles (which is amazing) I never fast charged and kept it between 20 and 80% most of the time. The best thing you can do is keeping the temperature down. And if it comes to it, replace the battery. It‘s 50 $. And totally worth it.

    Just wanna share my experience, I own iPhone 11 PM & iPhone XR for around 4 years. Lately just got iPhone 15 for my wife. My charging habit with our 11 PM & XR are using 5W slow charger (default charger old iPhone) but never charger overnight, only until 1 year old the battery health start droping to 99%. Now after 4 years, my 11 PM stand at 76% because I often charge overnight, my wife XR still at 80% but she upgrade to 15. But, my wife new iPhone 15 using recomended 20W (fast charging) drop to 99% in lest than 1 month of usage. I believe this fast charging method will degrade iPhone battery faster 🥹

      I'm at 14 months.. Just this month my battery finally dropped to 99%... I always use 5w charging ( usb-c from my display to my phone ). My car also has a very low power usb-a port so I'm never charging over 5w. I usually charge to around 80%. When I know I need more power for the day I'll charge up to 90 or even 100%. People who say "just use your device how you want" are the same type of people who don't change the oil in their car. A couple of small habits will allow your phone to last YEARS with all day battery life. I should make it 3 years with 90%+ battery capacity... At that time I'll probably just charge to 100% more often and trade in my phone.

    Most of the bad battery health reports I’ve seen come from people in the US… I might be wrong but there is one thing US iPhone 14s have that the rest of the world doesn’t: millimeter wave. Can that be the culprit? I bought my iPhone 14 pro max in February and battery health is at 100%. I live in Chile so my model is basically the same one they sell in Europe.
