Used to follow a quite a few car youtubers but id find myself not finishing the content or no longer watching the channel after a while. The late brake show is the only one ive stuck with and always watch all the way though, often ill watch through the tv because the quality just deserves it.
The diversity of the content is great and although sometimes the actual car or topic may not be something im overly interested in, i always end up watching and thats testament to Jhonny and his character.
I think hes had quite a rough time the past couples of years on a personal level...despite this hes smashing it. Keep up the good work Jhonny

One of the best interviews of him and his firework display of a mind.
Being from a journalism background, and slightly older, has given him a wiser view of the car world and how to relay this to the viewer.

Jonny's channel has become my comfort watch on a Sunday evening, like London's Burning back when I was a kid.
What he does with the barn finds imparticular is so warm & wholesome, older owners who have had something interesting hidden away & it's almost a last chance to see it dug out & potentially started in front of them.
In some cases it has been the final time they've seen a much loved car.
Jonny is also very well suited to the more oddball finds because hes so passionate & knowledgeable.

I love the Barnfinds, but I also love when Johnny tells the story of a 'historic' car of interest (for example, the VW XL1). There must be plenty of car 'investors' who would love him to do a video of their pride and joy, knowing that they will gain 20% in value within a week. Johnny's story telling is completely unique, and he can make the viewers care about vehicles that may have completely passed the world by. I would love to see a Lupo 3L or (original) Audi A2 1.2 Diesel on his show. Super economical, but 20 years too early. Keep it up Johnny!

He shows complete respect to the owner or the owners relatives if the owner has passed away and respect for the car it’s self . Also, he seems to drag out any kind of history or facts about the vehicle in his easy going relaxed manner. The main thing, in my opinion, is that he talks TO people and viewers and not AT people. Good luck Johnny...hope to see you on stage at The N.E.C at The Classic Car Show in November

Really enjoyed this conversation. Johnny, I’ve enjoyed your channel and your presentation style even before you started the channel. As an American of similar age but nowhere near as much car knowledge, and even less about British brands, I think what I enjoy is the history lesson aspect. Certainly the mystery/detective aspect is key as well. At bottom as demonstrated by this podcast you are just a great guy to have a conversation with, and that comes through in your channel. You should be a guest on other RUclips channels more often. I may have to start one just so I can invite you on.😊

Being in the UK his content is not really relevant to what I face today. That being said his approach takes me back to my first 16 years. Singer Vogue anyone, Cresta, Viva, Mini 1275 Gt, Zodiac, Zephyr, Cortina, Ford Consul Classic, A40, Morris Minor. So when he dips into a hidden spot and finds a major find, he spins a story like nothing else and it is simply enthralling. So grateful for his content.

The only automotive content I religiously look forward to is late brake and smith and sniff. I really love AutoAlex as well but they do come a firm second.

Love this podcast, I love watching Jonny and wish him much success going forward as do I to you Ben. Can't understand why your subs haven't shot up with these easygoing podcasts that are very well done and good viewing and listening.

Gaining subs on the podcast is so much harder than my other channel @fowlerfisheries. But it will get there! Thanks for listening

Jonny is successful presenting a variety of different content on his RUclips channel because HE is so interesting and genuine. (I also agree with him about SUVs, for all the tasks people claim they use them for they would be much better served with a minivan.)

What a great interview. I’m a late comer to the Late Brake Show and been binge watching. That bought me to this channel and now I’ve got another channel to binge watch. Im not going to get many videos made myself this month now!

I've been watching Jonny since the 5th gear days. I would guess that his Barn Find episodes are very popular and think he should take his own advice and maybe concentrate on doing a more thorough series of episodes on bringing a barn find back to life. I watch a lot of RUclips videos, in the same vain, and find them fascinating. The current teasers of pulling them out, and maybe getting them started, is great but then they're just gone and never seen again. Lets see a few back on the road. I realize the logistics involved with doing that can be daunting but others are finding a way to accomplish it. I think your channel will certainly benefit if you try that. Wishing you the best.
