Yeah they were good. I have the 5700G in my rig today and its still a great little performer in most titles if you are realistic with what you ask it to do.

The 10100 non f may be an option for you, it won’t be as fast graphics wise but the HD630 are still ok for light esports, the 3400G might be worth looking at as well with the Vega11 🙏🏼
My first cpu was this bought it in a prebuilt bundle with a cheap mobo that can't overclock suffice to say this has been a pretty good apu and can play most esport titles it also runs very well on optimized triple A games like gta v but the recent drops in gpu prices makes me want to get an rx 580 to pair it with. Anyway I want to thank you for making this great of this budget apu.
I’m so glad you made this comment bc I’m newer to gaming, don’t have the most budget and legit just bought both the rx580 and this to go with it for my set up
An iGPU is still very relevant in this day in time. Especially for a child that isn’t playing Cyberpunk 2077 anyway. And on the AM4 platform the upgradability is definitely there as the child gets older. Love the channel. Subscribed off the strength of this video.
Thanks for the comment and the sub, yes it definitely gave him some more options rather than just lumping them with a 4th gen i5 and 1050 or something. It’s a strong platform, decent ram kit and hopefully he’ll be back for the upgrade. He’s already been back for another PC for his son so happy days and a happy customer.
Good video mate! I might have to dust my old Ryzen 3200G off and give it another lease of life as it's held up not too bad and would be good for a child's PC.
Love the build, something after my own heart. Simple...small, basic. I feel the same way about Ryzen APUs, never owned one but I will at some point. I get into some gaming ruts where I just play platformers or older games that this chip would easily play without issue.
Cheers appreciate the comment. Even cheaper now and the 3400G can be picked up for £30ish these days. 4600G is worth a shout as well with some 3600Mhz DDR4.
I actually bought a Ryzen 3 3200g a couple months ago to build a pc! (To play Minecraft lol) I haven’t built it yet but it’s coming together. Thanks for the video!
Dope video ! I have a quick question: is this APU good enough to use for a dedicated streaming PC (I would be playing the game from my PS5 and using ELgato to stream it to PC)
It says you need an Intel 4th gen i5 or better for the HD60 so I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be suitable for a basic dedicated streaming PC. It would certainly get you up and running and being AM4 you can always upgrade to a better Ryzen if needed 😎
Im thinking about adding a radeon rx 570 to my 3200g to be able to run games like HLL but know barely anything about pc building, will this be enough to run games like HLL with my 3200g and 16 ram?
Hi Chris it will be a hell of a lot better than the VEGA graphics! Personally I’d look for an RX580 4/8GB there usually about £10/£15 more than the 570 and a lot better investment! Something also to consider being that you are on the AM4 platform so a cheap Ryzen 1600AF would or 2600x for £30/£40 would also be a good upgrade! You can sell the 3200G for £40 so a free upgrade 😎

I think with GPU prices having come down as much as they have and R9 270X being down to like 30 bucks, getting an R5 1600 for 35-40 bucks is just the better choice. Both are officially not supported anymore and unofficially still supported (as well as the last drivers released in June way after deprecation). You usually get 80-100% more performance that way either. Even the 1GB HD7850 that you can find for under 10 quid on ebay regularly would do better than this and undervolts well too.
Cheers for the moment, Agreed there’s better performance for less money out there 100% and the system is ready for what ever upgrades the customers wants in the future. Personally I can’t sell unsupported products my feedback and reviews are to important to risk it for my business. The R5 1600 is a budget go to for me but unfortunately it’s £70/£80 here in the UK at the moment plus a gpu would have brought the build cost up £100/£150 and well out the the budget I had to work with. It’s definitely not something I’m recommending to go out and buy. But for a super cheap all in one package to play some Minecraft it does it’s job perfectly 🙏🏼

Hi buddy, The 3200G is still a good little entry level processor, it performs around an i5 7600 or i5 4670K. Depending on what PSU you have/budget a used RX580 or GTX1060/1660 would pair really nicely with it. I wouldn’t buy an APU as really you want a b450/b550 motherboard so you can overclock the VEGA iGPU. That said I had a 5600G for a few months at it was perfectly fine at 1080p low settings.
Yeah!!!, I have a question, how do you made your CPU to run at 3.9ghz?. My cpu will only run at 3750mhz and won't get past that, my motherboard is asrock B550m pro4

Hey Andy, I Don't Have A budget To Get A Graphic Card And This Gonna be My First Pc Is Their Anything Better Option Than This or I should Retain My Idea Of Having This. And What About The Mobo : My Choice Is asrock or msi A320m
Hi depending on your budget, you could stretch maybe stretch to a used 3400G there not a lot more with a little deal hunting. Personally as well I’d go for a B450 motherboard there the same price used or even new sometimes as the a320 and then you can overclock the graphics which will make a massive difference. You will need 16GB 3200MHz ram really as well. There’s so many options, you could go used with a 4th gen Intel and GTX970 etc but then you don’t have the upgrade path of the Ryzen. Maybe join our discord and we’ll do a little deal hunting for you 😎
Go with the 3200G and if your budget allows buy a B450 motherboard even the cheapest one, you will thank yourself later. We have the Gigabyte B450 S2H here in the UK and it’s normally the same price or a few pounds more than the a320 boards. Don’t get any ram less than 2666MHz that’s the minimum, really you want 3200MHz with CL16/CL14
The Ryzen 4500 is £60/£70 now as well and an almost perfect pairing with the 1660super 🤩 I’ve even seem Ryzen 1600’s for £40 recently so upgrades are a plenty when your ready, personally I still believe 4core chips have a part to play 2023 so keep on rocking buddy 💪🏼
Generally there’s better chips two years on! I’d go for a 4600G used if you can find one or a 5600G! That said the 3400G is 4core 8threads and around £40 used these days! Generally you’d be better but a 2600x/1600AF and a cheap GPU even and GTX950 will beat these older APU’s! Personally I’d get a cheap RX580 2048 off Aliexpress for £50.
It was kinda hinted at, but the Vega 8 of the 3200G is almost equivalent to the Vega 11 of the 2400G. Should you return to this APU, to see it's worth as a CPU, a comparison to the R3-1200 might be worth a shot.
I don’t think there’s much in it VEGA wise, not tested a 2400G but the 3400G isn’t far off! The extra threads do help though. Cpu wise the 3200G is about the same as a 4670k or i5 7600. Believe it or not the R3 1200 performs around an i3 4150 which isn’t great! Ryzen came a long way form FX but the 1st gen chips still had a way to go on the lower end of things 🙏🏼
@@andystech101 I own an R3-1200 and I've used it as a stand-in, when benchmarking, for the i5-2400. Glad to actually see someone who knew of a more apt comparable CPU. (Also have an R7-1700x on my main, and just got an R5-2600 as a b-day present for myself - 2nd gen Ryzens are quite amazing)
Oooow depends what you want to do with it? If your just running it as an APU for a super cheap gaming build yes? If your planing to run it with a gpu there’s better options like the 1600af and I’ve even see 4100’s going for £45 on eBay. It’s a great chip anyway and even better with an overclock 😎
If your going with a dedicated GPU eventually the 2400G as it’s 4core 8thread, both are good little entry level chips though but i comes down to price really 🙏🏼

Is this still bang for the buck in 2024? Or do you suggest other APU? TY
Just bought a 3200g while watching this video. Got it with a cooler for 38 dollars too 🤷
Awesome stuff, enjoy 💪🏼
(Also have an R7-1700x on my main, and just got an R5-2600 as a b-day present for myself - 2nd gen Ryzens are quite amazing)
this is somuch better than my gt710
Thanks for the comment, I feel for you there man 🙏🏼
crazy that im getting 120 fps on valo with this chip
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I found one for $50 should I buy it?
Oooow depends what you want to do with it? If your just running it as an APU for a super cheap gaming build yes? If your planing to run it with a gpu there’s better options like the 1600af and I’ve even see 4100’s going for £45 on eBay. It’s a great chip anyway and even better with an overclock 😎
I bought it and thought it was 4 cores 8 threads for like a year🙃
3400G is the 4core 8threads but worse things have happened at sea haha 🙃
Ryzen 5 2400g or Ryzen 3 3200g?
If your going with a dedicated GPU eventually the 2400G as it’s 4core 8thread, both are good little entry level chips though but i comes down to price really 🙏🏼
Is RX 5600 XT a good gpu for Ryzen 3 3200??
It will pair with the 3200G but the good news is you can easily swap the 3200G down the line for a 3600/5600/5500/2600x etc
