    Don't forget if you're shopping for a budget CPU to also take a look at last gen's 2400G while they're still available at the same $100. You get a faster CPU and graphics vs the 3200G plus an upgrade to the Wraith Spire cooler. At $150 I wouldn't recommend the 3400G as it's only 5% faster than the 2400G for 50% more money. Instead, I would recommend getting a Ryzen 5 2600 while they're available for $130 and under since you're getting something more future-proof and powerful with 6 cores/12 threads and saving up a little extra to get an RX 570 for $80 used or $120 new.

    • @dalesplitstone6276
      @dalesplitstone6276 5 лет назад

      That was a Prime Day sale. It will however, come back around for Black Friday, probably early Black Friday in October, and may occasionally drop to $100 periodically before then. And I think the 2400g, even at $125 is a better deal than the 3200g at $125. But, since I spent $145 on 32GB of DDR4 3400, I will probably drop $149 on the 3400g. I will wait until Black Friday however, and pick up the 2400g if it drops to $100 before then.
      In any case, I will probably pair it up with an RX 570 or an RX 5600 before upgrading to a Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X next Prime Day after the 4000 series is introduced.

    My 1st pc processor. I have never seen a budget processor handle triple A games the way it handles. I can play RE2 remake, Dota 2, DMC 5, NBA 2K19 with this. You just need to tweak the graphics settings on this one. Pair this with an SSD, 2 8GB Rams, and if you're on a tight budget, you can go for a 2GB GPU. Which in my build is a just a GTX1050 and I absolutely love it! And I don't plan to upgrade this and also my GPU in the near future, unless it is necessary and not out of wanting too much out of my build. This processor is just so damn good!

It only cost me 350 bucks or so to build that system to get started. I almost wanted to go 3700x but havent been doing enough content creation and stuff to really justify it yet... Maybe with Ryzen 4000 lol. Great way to get your foot in the PC gaming door, especially with older games and indie titles, which i love.

    also you could do a follow up with a GTX1650 & RX570 as an upgrade video as it may be better persevering with an i3 if it performs better with a budget GPU while you save for a GPU,
