    This same system with the 3200g, is my system. I actually still get more fps in all games you tested, and for GTA 5, What I like to do is, change my settings to high-very high and lock it to 30fps, I get a consistent experience, been rocking with these for about 1 and a half years

    I used to have a similar APU to this (3200g to be exact) so I can relate. For anyone looking to upgrade I'd recommend that you upgrade your ram first as, for me at least, increased my frames massively and made them more stable. It's quite a good APU for it's age.

    • @krxs15
      @krxs15 2 года назад +6

      I currently have 8gb of ram in my Acer Swift 3x laptop with the i7-1165g7 and intel iris xe max graphics which performs a bit better than the vega 8, the only limiting factor is ram so once I upgrade to 12 or 16gb, I'm sure it'll increase my fps by a ton as ram is always bottlenecking me

  • @Trick-Framed
    @Trick-Framed 2 года назад +84

    Those drops to 400 mhz is part of the stuttering. You can change that in the drivers. Force it to stay full power all the time. Or whatever frequency you want. It'll fix the games that were stuttering while doing it.

    • @Trick-Framed
      @Trick-Framed 2 года назад +1

      @Sota it's in the adrenaline drivers. A quick Google search will explain it but if you watch the video you can see the card dropping to default low frequency when the stutters occur via Afterburner. Once locked it won't drop the frequency to save power anymore, it'll run full power irregardless of what's demanded of it provided it's cooled well and not throttling.

    I think most of the stutters can be removed by using hypermemory and can you use nfs heat in some of your benchmarking videos? that would be awesome

    Just bought an x370 with an R5 1400 for € 85, and coupled it to an GTX 1060 for € 180. About the same a what you did. Great littlle machine. I use it as an emulation box now!

    AMD are most definitely chuffing with all their Ryzen processors. They're bloody beastly. I've always loved how 'bang for buck' their CPU's have been, all the way from their Athlon X2's, but Ryzen, damn... Awesome. And these APU's are no exception. Cheers for the demos again, fella 👍

    The Fact that he changes his background light colors according to the company's gpu(or cpu), like when he tests a gpu from nvidia his background lights are green and during amd's testing his lights are red. nice

    Ooo hello again my dear tester! I started my pc with ryzen 3 2200g and vega 8 a little bit overclocked and i could play gta 5, cs go and other games with playable frame rates. After that i started with radeon rx550 but it was almost no difference in csgo and some games, but it was game changing in gta 5. And now i have rx570(got it cheap for 95 bucks 4gb from gigabyte ) with ryzen 5 1500x(ryzen 3 2200g bottlenecks the rx570 too much), even the 1500x does but not that much. Respect for u man! Sorry for my bad english! i'm lazy to use translator!

    I was looking to build a cheap PC but the prices of components are out of control even in the used market. However I just snagged this same HP model used for $200. I'm pretty happy with the deal I got.

      The downside is upgradeability with these HP PCs, but I guess you'd have to upgrade everything anyways if you wanted better performance in recent games. Enjoy the PC :)

    I am still rocking one, and it's still good. Just set the Vega clock to 1500Mhz at least and you get quite a bit better experience after that. The newer ones run at 1900Mhz+, while the default on the 2200G was 1100Mhz, but there is quite a lot of headroom to oc it. If you already got one, it does not make much sense to buy a newer APU in comparison.

    This apu with just 8 gb ram is insane. Most of the games before 2010 can run with 60 fps on medium-max settings plus newer titles (2016-2017) are still playable 35-50 fps. I did some benchmark on valorant with max settings in 1080p and i got 60-70 fps lol.
