    Dear RUclips friends, in this video I talk about my favorite ten nineties perfumes. These fragrances were some of the most beautiful created in the past few decades and have changed the landscape of perfumery in a special and firm way. They not only bring back memories but also define a very special decade through smell and perfume compositions which we have not seen or smelled ever since. I hope you enjoy this video and check out my next video: "Top 10 Feel Good Perfumes - A Fragrance Selection to Help Fight the Blues and Boost Happy Vibes" ruclips.net/video/qGwmlS8dZ6g/видео.html

    Dear Dacob! I love your streams! Great passion! The 90ies! They were my high times! Girls, partys, smoking, drinking, fun, dancing all night in bars and clubs. Girls wore Eternity and Opium. Opium was to die for. In this tradition I bought a real treasure Opium Secret de Parfum from 1992. Neither on the dance floor, where girls let themselfs be "driving" dancing to hot rhythms or on the bar. If there were a fragrance orgasm, it would be opium.

    Here is my 2cents which no one asked for but I’m going to say it anyway. We need a refillable Vivienne Westwood perfume which would be true to her and also supports her eco roots. In this state of economy we need to foster loyalty and better values from companies. Companies need to stop being greedy otherwise they will lose in the long run.

    I love philosophical Dacob! 😍🤣 I am on the same page with you about us carrying memories in our DNA...i often find myself longing for a bygone time that I almost remember experiencing, and I get just short little glimpses into the past that I can hold onto, wondering where they came from...and each time I smell a vintage perfume, I almost unlock a new aspect of that nostalgia...hence I'm becoming quite taken with the old school fragrances. What I love the most is that Im hearing this theory in a perfume video of all things!!!😁👏👏👏

    Happened to click on one of your vids by chance and so glad I did. Fragrance and perfumes are one of my passions, so you are totally speaking my language. Loving this top 10 list, especially since I spent a portion of the 90s working in perfumery in London department stores. In fact, I was actually in Harvey Nic's the day Vivienne Westwood launched 'Boudoir' in store. I absolutely adore Chanel Cristalle, a timeless classic, and JPG Le Male also brings back such memories for me of that time in London. You'd get a delicious 'waft' of it on a guy every so often, walking to the tube or somewhere; something so unique, fresh yet sensual about it. I think Dior-Hypnotics is an amazing scent, but unfortunately the almond doesn't suit my skin chemistry. I also totally dig what you say about connecting with other time periods, our ancestors and DNA, through fragrance. Scent evokes and triggers such powerful memory. Anyway, I subbed and look forward to checking out more reviews!

    Funny thing! I was just thinking about Dior's "Poison" the other day and thought I might purchase a bottle. I loved all three Tender Poison (was it the green bottle?) and the purple original and then the red color.. I had an obsession with "Mirella Burani" and used to go to Lord and Taylor to get that and Isadora. I don't even remember who made that one! And Sonya Rykeil? (that t-shirt bottle with sparkle) what happened to all those? When I worked for Estee Lauder, we had to promote "Beautiful" and "White Linen." I hated both of them but we made a ton of money with those. Haha! Remember Elizabeth Taylor's "White Diamonds?" Barf! LOL! I think we ran out of that when I worked with fragrance as a rep.

I have still 1 last bottle of boudoir and I will wear it really for special occasion , it is sad that it wasnt a hit a the time because vivienne westwood herself is anything but mainstream. This is why I still own 1 bottle also from Alexander mcqueen perfume ( before he died ) , and never buy a new 1 because he said it himself on a lot of interviews , everything that comes after I die isnt my work. Classique by JPG. The bottle is inspired by the costume he designed for Madonna. This came out in the bedtime stories era. I could so see her wearing this floral/vanilla scent. She’s known to love vanilla candles/room spray and is known to wear floral scents.

    • @essence-tiallydacob9611
      @essence-tiallydacob9611  5 месяцев назад +1

      Not correct. Gaultier has been designing his iconic guepieres and bras since before Madonna, way back into the 80’s. The original classique bottle is a classic Gaultier guepiere and not the Madonna model. He did however bring out years later a limited edition bottle dressed in the “rockstar” golden guepiere, which was a tribute to his costume for Madonna from her Blonde ambition tour. As for Madonna, she wore Fracas in the past, a tuberose heavy fragrance which she used as inspiration for her own truth or dare perfume and is now enthralled with a boring rose based perfume called portrait of a lady by Frederic Malle… both perfumes not in the vanilla spectrum at all.

    Interesting video, I loved so many 90s fragrances. Issey was a fave for me. Disagree wjtb the notion about Baccarat, its an undeniable fragrance and the numbers don't lie. Don't get me wrong, I loathe Delina which is extremely popular. But Baccarat numbers still surpass it, which says a lot. Though it manifests differently on different people. I think the negative notions about it, are more rooted in socio-classist notions than a real disdain for the actual fragrance.

    • @essence-tiallydacob9611
      @essence-tiallydacob9611  7 месяцев назад +1

      I am somewhat disappointed that you just imply that my dislike of Baccarat Rouge might be rooted in socio-classist notions. You obviously don’t know me Yasmin otherwise you would have never thrown such allusions into the pot, so please do not generalize. As for baccarat rouge and its sales numbers, I would never be so superficial as to judge a perfume by its sales numbers. I do not care if it sells great or terribly. Accepting big sales numbers as a standard for what smells good in perfumery is quite short sighted. Furthermore, Baccarat Rouge smells the same on everybody. I literally always recognize it a mile away and its always artificial in a bad aroma chemical way. Aggressive and bland at the same time. You see, in my opinion it is not the socio -classist notions that deliver a negative opinion about Baccarat rouge but rather it would appear instead that the socio-classist victims fall in love with baccarat rouge precisely because of the socio-classist standard it has won for itself… allegedly! Oh the irony…
