@@happyduck1424 Not sure if this is what they mean but in other videos I’ve seen him record stuff while the scammer is on hold so like let’s say he’s switching between an old man and an old woman, he’ll record basic stuff for the old woman to say and then while he’s doing the old man voice he’ll basically use it as a soundboard so it sounds like they’re having a conversation

This causes enormous psychological conflict when I come back to realizing it’s actually an actor named Kitboga. This is like visiting your local mad scientist for some utterly mundane reason, being let in, and being so stunned with all the weird shit happening inside that all you can do is react to what's going on. It isn't until two hours later when you're back home, settling in to watch more of your favorite show, that you finally remember why you went over there in the first place.
The amount of detail in this story makes it sound personal. Lol

@@ethannderyakabuski5749 the stream on twitch, he was trying to automate a scam call with responses prior to this call and I think improved all of this without planning this idea ahead of time. As you can see in the timer, it was around 2 hours for just this call but he did alot of other things prior to the call on stream and his response of working on an AI was true

Exactly! He is monetized from RUclips/ adds. When you have that many subscribers and that many views=$$$$$. Also the elderly are able to be shown these videos and learn from them . Like school kids that learn about 911 and stranger danger, so if and when it happens, they can react properly.

some lore behind the "western amber" name, kit was using his actual ai program he built one day, and it misheard him asking "what's your name?" (he was trying to make it repeat him)
the ai has a line of text that shows what it "heard", and it often gets it wrong, due to scammer's terrible phone quality. the text wrote out "western amber", and it pretty much stuck afterwards!

I tuned in as soon as I heard the phrase "Amazon charges", then when the supposed bank rep suggested moving all the card's funds into checking for security reasons, I told my girl that this was sus and to suggest going directly to the bank herself, at which point the scammer said something about how that could jeapordize her job. That was clearly enough for both of us to call BS, obviously :p

I just got the best idea for you man. Act like an older woman with plenty of money that's really hard to understand, then get her grandson to talk for her and say he knows that the caller is a scammer and he'll help scam his grandma and give up her info but he wants his cut. Then see if you can negotiate a cut of it from the scammer.

Interacting with someone who isn't elderly makes these guys very uncomfortable, mistrustful and awkward, because at their core they're useless brainlets themselves and are afraid of someone else scamming them.
It’s a funny idea but I think even just your typical 80 IQ scammer is going to think “why would he need our help to steal her money?” and assume they’re getting baited. What you don’t get a sense of from watching these videos is how quick most of them are to hang up on someone when they suspect their time is being wasted.
@@blazaybla22 dude he was a grandma in her backyard digging up money to put in a box filled with aluminum foil and send to a scammer. Some of them yeah but they wouldn't be surprised an American wanted to steal his grandma's money out her account but couldn't get to it by himself. But you could be right. Some might catch on. But those stupid ones are always out there. As we see sometimes 😄
@@squirtle8060 Yeah I just think it’s a very different distinction between “ridiculous situation that maybe I can wait out and still get money somehow” (where even if they’re screaming loudly they’re still sort of passive observers) versus “okay this kid is 1. Actually calling us out as scammers [as they almost never acknowledge, unless it’s to say “yeah I knew it was a prank” at the end to salvage their egos] so now we need to deal with that and 2. Do we want to bother trying to negotiate a deal with some kid after we’ve already been called out, when we can just hang up and move on?” And that’s even if the scammer buys anything after the pseudo-reveal which I think is going to be a smaller percentage.
There may be some way to completely reconfigure this general premise so it works, but to be honest I think any scambait that depends on confronting the scammer for being a scammer, especially pretending to be another scammer (you see in the cross calls how much they all hate each other and will torpedo their own scams just to make sure another scammer won’t get anything) isn’t going to get very far.
It’s not that they’re not dumb enough, it’s kind of the opposite - it assumes a level of ability to strategize on the part of the scammer that from everything I’ve seen just does not exist.
They’ll deal with complexities when it comes to what the oblivious target is doing, but as far as their end, the actual scamming part they prefer to keep as simple as possible: “Can we eventually get gift cards or wire transfers? No? Okay bye”
Honestly, these videos are so funny! It's amazing that you use your recognicion and knowledge of computers and scams to do this, both entertaining but also sometimes shutting down the scammers completely!
How you manage to stay in character(s) and keep the act going is amazing. You should have your own TV show.
