Quinta gets props for saying to Jennifer, “We don’t have to go there if you don’t want to.” I get why the producers were trying to create that buzzworthy moment, but I also appreciate Quinta’s willingness to derail it for Jennifer’s sake. It’s nice to see people take care of each other like that. This was a charming pairing.

An angry parent, yes! I can totally see her being the “my child wouldn’t possibly do that” or “my child deserves this special treatment” sort of parent! Or even a faculty member at Addington Elementary alongside Melissa’s sister. Or even being a substitute teacher at Abbott. But Keenan Keegan-Michael Key is perfect as the superintendent already; the way he essentially says “if it’s not free, the district isn’t interested” is, unfortunately, soooo accurate!

I'm the actor who plays the Coney Island character in The Morning Show that Quinta talks about at 3:30. I was floored that she mentioned the scene, and that Variety also included footage of me. It was such a joy to shoot... Jennifer and Jon could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. The whole crew made me feel right at home and it was a fantastic experience!

They shouldn’t have pushed Quinta to ask Jen about Friends, they knew what they were doing, it was insensitive, she was so empathetic and respectful, but she clearly felt bad when Jen started crying. It obviously wasn’t a good moment for them.
Jen would have known those questions were coming. They don't go into these blind. Quinta met Brad at an awards event. Off-limits
@@carolandrews9406 Still. It was an insensitive question and both of them were upset about it. They were having such a nice conversation and then the producers decided to do that knowing that it was a sensitive topic for Jen and it probably would make her emotional/uncomfortable, even Quinta looked uncomfortable that they put her in that position and didn't want to ask her that, but she handled it well because she's empathetic and unlike the producers she wasn't looking for that reaction to get clicks.
It would have been bizarre if she hadn’t asked.

The producers tried to create a "gotcha" moment, and Quinta handled it beautifully. I love to see how much the Friends' cast loves each other. Love to JA and MP.
The woman off camera @ 31:46 who urged Quinta to ask Jen about Friends now should take a good, long look at herself in the mirror and ask herself why she thought that question was necessary. She knew exactly what kind of reaction that would elicit and Quinta deserves all the praise for how she handled that.
But also, it is the 30th year anniversary of the show's premiere. It would've been weird for her not to ask.
I think Jen is incredibly kind and compassionate, and I really like how Quinta handled their request for her to ask Jen the question regarding Matthew (friends).
to be fair, it’s likely she was also asked to ask that of quinta.
Of course, it was necessary to ask that question. It's the money shot they wanted. It's what they call "good TV." If they didn't ask risky questions, then everything will be dull. Like it or not, but it's show business. You can't be weak to go into a business like that.
And what did the outcome of asking that question for everyone? It made you love these women even more.

I LOVE Quinta sitting in her power and using it in that moment to PROTECT her “elder” and a person who broke ground for her in the industry. You see how she accomplished so much so quickly. She knows the production of this interview needs her and Jen more than the other way around, and they can do the interview on their terms at all times, and she uses that to create space for someone to be a human with a body existing and feeling. Inspired by Quinta carrying the torch for network television, and there's something so powerful about harnessing nostalgia and learning from your heroes and being able to give flowers in person. And the love that she shows to her cast and crew! Exceptional, of course no one wants to leave the show and even someone as legendary as Jennifer Aniston wants to be on it. Love to see it

Quinta was so amazing for looking out for Jen when asked about Matthew… grief is no joke. It boils over so fast, I know just what went through Jen’s body when asked that, it’s literally a physical reaction. It really hits you like a tidal wave.. she handled that so well, I wanted to give her a hug 🥺♥️
It’s just a little over 6 months ago too so it’s fresh still. I can even start crying about it watching interviews like this and I didn’t know him personally, so very understandable. Glad she handled the tears respectfully and didn’t push

I love the way Jen said “I’d love to come play with you” regarding starring on Abbott- it seems so small & silly but it really speaks to how they view their jobs & the absolute love & admiration they have for it.
Quinta is so cute and genuine. It's heart warming. I also love how Jennifer Aniston is engaging with her. It feels like a healthy mentorship and back and forth.
The level of engagement, respect and understanding they shared and bounced off one another is so beautiful. You can tell how much they admire one another and respect the differences/ similarities, in their craft throughout their respective generations, yet still come back to the same way of seeing things. Great edifying back and forth.
Quinta is really a new voice of my generation who masters it all.

jen and quinta are a fabulous match, i LOVED that you can tell both of them has real love for comedy and deep curiosity and appreciation for each others' work. both being inspired by older sitcoms, being able to appreciate the work made by crew whose work often goes unseen by us regular folk, recognizing the importance of tone, heart, from the overarching themes to even the most minute details. tbh jen is not the most eloquent speaker on interviews but this pairing really brought a lot of insight out of her, it's really great to see. and obviously quinta is just major, she has done the work! lovely interview and a must watch for real comedy heads

I didn’t know Quinta before, so I watched this Interview just bc of Jennifer Aniston (cause I’m a huge fan) but I have to tell I just love them together, they definitely have a connection. i so wish that they didn't ask jennifer that question, but media will be media. i loved the way that quinta held space for her and the light jokes they made for each other after that. i didn't know that they had such a wonderful relationship and i'm glad we got almost 40 minutes of it here.

I’m so glad to see Quinta where she’s at. I’ve been following her since she first started making videos with Buzzfeed & I often times only watched their videos for HER. She is such an awesome, powerful, beautiful, & compassionate soul & she deserves ALL the best things. She’s one of the very few celebrities I feel *genuinely* deserve where they’re at.
Jen is great too & I’ve loved watching her grow in her career & in herself. She’s a beautiful woman & while she can be a bit out of touch sometimes, she’s remained relatively grounded considering how long she’s been in the industry & everything she’s been through.
Quinta is a phenomenal human being… empathetic and grounded she brings out the best in every situation… and everyone she interacts with … Two beautiful souls right there !
Jen always seems so genuinely interested in the person she’s speaking to and like she actually listens. I find it admirable for someone in her position, with all her success to remain so humble and genuine. There’s just something about her attentiveness and kindness. She’s so engaging and engaged in those she’s interacting with. I haven’t watched Abbott, but I will be finding it on whatever platform it’s on!

Like she seems like she could be your best friend, even though she's way out of anyone's league! The Good Girl, Picture Perfect, Love Happens, The Object of my Affection, Wanderlust, Rumor has it…, Derailed, Just Go with It, RockStar, Marley & Me, We’re the Millers, Bruce Almighty, Along Can Polly, Cake, The Break Up, The Switch, Friends with Money and of course FRIENDS are her greatest projects. I need this woman to win an Oscar one day!

Listening to how Quinta grew up with all things comedy says a lot about how she was destined to do Abbott. She was able to pull off all the tactics/techniques from the comedies of the past, but the rapid-fire punchlines are what keeps me coming back for more of Abbott. Plus it's a mockumentary format is what makes it more immersive and amplifies the hilarity of the dialogues. What stood out for me in this chat is how Quinta adores Jen so much to the point that she can recite Jen's entire acting catalog for days. Such a sweetie. And damn - Jen on Abbott? Bring it.

This is the best Actors on Actors I’ve seen yet. There’ve been some really great ones before, but I didn’t pause this one time, it was sooo good! I mean Quinta Brunson AND Jennifer Aniston discussing their careers, and the admiration that Quinta clearly has for Jennifer (we feel you, Quinta) is beautiful to see. And you can see how much Jennifer truly respects and loves Quinta and her work as well. I truly think Quinta is the next big comedic actress that we’re going to see have that same longevity and success in her career as Jennifer has. Abbott Elementary is one of my favorite shows ever. The cast is brilliant and it’s one of the best modern sitcoms on television, hands down. And that came from Quinta’s mind. Absolutely brilliant. And although Jennifer Aniston has had that longevity in her career, she’s still as successful today as she was on Friends. These are two of the most talented, beautiful, amazing, hilarious, intelligent actresses of our time. I’m really excited to continue following Quinta’s career, bc I just know in 30 years from now, people will be talking about her as they do Jennifer Aniston today. And they’ll still be talking about Jennifer Aniston as well. ❤❤

I'm also a showrunner, one year older than Quinta, and this was one of the most beautiful interviews to watch. You can see these ladies truly respect each others craft and you can almost see them containing their excitement for each other. I hope they collaborate and do a multi camera comedy show. It would bring more jobs to the industry and make many crew members happy I'm sure. God speed Quinta and Jennifer.

EVERYTHING about Friends was perfection.. EVERYTHING. STILL my favorite show of all time, and I still watch the reruns at night to go to bed too. It's calming and just pure happiness.. Joy. I ADORE Jennifer Aniston, and all the Friends cast, but Jen is my favorite, as much as you can even have a favorite, because they're really all my favorite, in their own way. But most of us feel we could be besties with Jen. She's a light all into herself that just draws people in. Love you, girl! ❤
