Computers give power to these creatures, and it's the same with cheaters/hackers on online multiplayer games: they aren't good at anything IRL so they have to boost their virtual presence artificially. So long as they see numbers going up on their screens, they don't care about how miserable they make others. At the end of the day, it's not about money; the thing these people truly desire is to have some form of control over their own lives and, specially, over the lives of others.

Bro how can you not, you know? When I heard that old sad lady saying “transfer bitcoin” it shattered my heart. These scammers are cruel and they deserve no mercy. Kitboga mentioned he got into scam baiting because his grandma was scammed, I can imagine he’s going through all the emotions of that when speaking to a poor old woman being scammed for 6 years 💔💔
I'd think, as well, that relatively few tweaks could be used to make it look like different crypto/gift card redemption websites. With the likes of ai voice text to speech, it'd be easy to start a network of scambaiters and victims to redirect them down a spiral of 'redeem code' type phone options and/or using g their scripts against them building a bank of responses for common questions etc.
Seriously at 15:03 when he said "It looks like your longest hold-time was one hour and ten minutes, are you willing to beat that record today?" I started howling in laughter!
These scammers are absolutely relentless. I get text messages every single day saying I've got a problem with a bank that I don't even have an account at, or with my UPS or FedEx package can't be tracked when I didn't order anything, things like that. FK these scammers. Keep doing your thing, Kit, you're AWESOME!!! 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼
You guys are truly the good ones. In a world seemingly devoid of morals, it is refreshing to see people out there trying to help other people. Keep doing what you do and thanks for the laughs along the way! And thank you for helping our elderly!
Calling that one friend and getting their voicemail which has been full for a few years is enough to send me into a rage after wasting 60 seconds of my time. Getting that kind of message after hours and hours and thinking you're getting a live call representative is so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye.
Another great aspect of all this is that there are literally hundreds of scams targeting crypto-users, and so it's not even that unrealistic that the same "victim" of the scammers is the victim of a shady or fake crypto exchange. So the scammers don't even know if they're dealing with a legit exchange or not, but have to pursue it regardless. When they're talking to Kitboga as a call-center rep and trying to bully him it's just not the same as when they're trying to bully victims (even Kitboga in character). The power dynamics are completely reversed, and the scammer knows it. The levels of irony are getting thick, and even if the scammer is aware of it, there's almost nothing they can do. They have to pursue it.
I'm so glad to see that scambaiters are becoming increasingly sophisticated & are able not just to waste the time of individual scammers or provoke them to rage, but are able to steal & destroy their data, disable their computers, and completely deconstruct an entire call center (criminal enterprise) at every level, including reporting them to service providers & various agencies, & directly stopping the scamming of individuals just in time to keep them from becoming victims. These things are all so impressive.
Kit is literally the jigsaw of scambaiting, i’m glad you’re able to have fun with what you do and impact those you’re helping. You are truly doing good shit dude
Kit and his team are true pioneers in the scambaiting space. Absolutely killing it with fresh ideas and staying one step ahead of the latest scams. Respect
God, I got chills when that poor woman appeared on the call, she sounded so scared and confused just saying “transfer bitcoin”. Knowing how ugly the scammers can get with their victims from your channel, I’m so glad she got help and it’s wonderful that your silly tool has turned into something that can genuinely protect and help vulnerable people.
Pretty awkward that you didn't read the text that stated that lady's voice was actually an actor, to protect the privacy of the lady. Atleast you know they have good voice actors though.
my heart broke when I heard that lady speaking, I'm so glad she was able to get the support she needed, it hurts to think how many people are not as lucky.
The great thing about this is that it removes whatever leverage these guys think they have, as opposed to ordinary scambait calls. In the calls they think Kitboga is an old person, even if they don't get any money and they waste their time, they can lock the (vm) computer and go to bed thinking the victim can't access their computer anymore without them. Here, they're completely resourceless. They have no way to get back at the service, real or imagined. No consolation. No one to threaten or insult. It's beautiful.

So THIS is the reason I haven't been getting scam calls lately! While my daughter is upset she can't mess with them anymore, I appreciate all that you do to confound these horrible people and help their victims! ❤
I learned that if you don't answer the phone, don't even deny the call, you just let it ring their system will think it's an unused number and take it out of the system. I went from having 5 or 6 calls a day to maybe 2 in a month.
@@michiganrailfan2141 Yeah, I think you're right. I hardly ever answer the phone even when it's someone I know and these scammers never call me. I only get a couple calls a month from people I don't know and it's usually recruiters who found my resume on Indeed.

They're taking notes alright but US Cellular is already holding the trademark over Verizon's head going "nananana you will never get this! You will never get this!" While they work on busting that cage with a bigger buyout offer.

@@kgmiller. true although the idea of such a third party Bitcoin wallet service existing seems just plausible enough that I think the possibility of the money being real might outweigh whatever knowledge they have of Kitboga doing what he's doing here
@@kgmiller. Future reference, don't assume so much. You don't even know the half of it. Especially if he's been doing this for so long, so openly and scammers are still falling for it.
It's strangely poetic how scammers prey on people by relying on their victims not being aware enough to realize they're being scammed, but the scammers are even MORE clueless when they are the ones being scammed. I am happy to see them fall for this trap, but wow, I almost can't believe how stupid they are.
@@KNJfan Yeah, and probably the average scammer is not an all-out hustler, lying, cheating and capitalizing on every opportunity for self profit. It's more like they are rehearsed on this one particular scam, and probably don't have that much street smarts to adapt to changing situations. They are following a very specific checklist of things to do on a very specific scam, so they can't comprehend the situation, when they are themselves taken for a ride. At least it will cause expenses for the organisation.
Knowing that there are people working to trap call center scammers in an infinite loop of unbeatable scamming brings a tear to my eye. Keep up the good fight.

If only companies / hold messages were honest.
Scammers, for the large majority of the time, seem to be a very specific type of person. A lazy, uninspired, unintelligent, rude, and above all else greedy mockery of a human being. So, the prospect of an "easy" swindle was the perfect trap. Also, the fact that this was all largely automated is all the more pleasing. Really feels like you're starting to fight fire with fire here and I'm so happy to see it.
It’s crazy they would rather sit on hold for almost a week for a couple hundred dollars instead of just getting a real job
A lot of them are actually victims of human trafficking who are being forced to do it.
@@zaccampa4055 And best (worst) of all, if its an entire call center operation, they have a boss that takes a sizable cut, but won't pay them unless they're successful. So its quite literally working a job, except worse.

This is amazing, both in mocking the scammers and saving victims. As a previous victim of a scam (not bitcoin, gift cards), this made me tear up
Calling that one friend and getting their voicemail which has been full for a few years is enough to send me into a rage after wasting 60 seconds of my time.
They have to pursue it.
you would hate my voicemail then lmao... i made it long and annoying to prevent people leaving messages unless its actually importantn@@DLSacks
