While these people are utterly unscrupulous and abominable, I think it's easy to get stuck in the trap of assuming everyone around the world needs a car. The woman Kit was portraying definitely shouldn't have been driving. Also, car ownership isn't the necessity for a lot of South Asians (primarily Indians, where these centres tend typically operate from) that it is for many Americans, but a luxury. I wouldn't assume they imagine they're stranding someone with no way of getting around. Not that I expect they'd care all that much if they *did* think that.

The government has helpful advice in the UK on saving money on heating. I swear to god this is true - the radio campaign instructs you to turn off your heating and use blankets. While rich men are richer than ever from what they have done to ukraine. Stopping them making peace with only conditions of neutrality and respect for all citizens. I get a lot of people telling me their entire life story, where they grew up, what they did for a living, how they met their significant other... Surprisingly enough, I never ask for it but get hit with it for no good reason as their response to my question of "Which doctor are you here to see today?"
Moral of the story, no stranger wants to hear your life story unprompted, unless they're a scammer, then they totally want to hear you talk about your life for hours on end so you don't give them money
