Hi Brian. I just followed this vid and the rear window is functioning again as it should. The only "issue" I ran into was the rear tabs not sticking when reinstalling the housing unit into the ceiling. I checked the tabs and insert holes and they look fine. The front hooks/clips right in, just the rear don't. Any tips? Thanks for the great video!

How did you go about diagnosing the problem was a bad switch? As opposed to a problem with the mechanics of the sliding window? Is it based on your experience or intuition or was their some test you performed on the switch or inspection of the slider that made you come to this conclusion.

This is awesome. But one thing to warn people about, is the 2015 and up F-150's use double sided tape to hold on rail for the back window. That's right - double sided tape. What happens when that tape wears off? The window falls in. In my case, washing the truck the window fell in. Completely blew my mind how these are engineered...

I was lil bummed out first time I went to open my back glass when it failed to move. The other two buttons for the sunroof work perfect...... if those are working would just that particular button be out.........or would all 3 buttons not work?

Thanks for the video. I fixed my rear sliding window. I had some trouble with the very last step, the console didn't want to click back together. I ended up opening the sunroof and I saw a black plastic piece that was flexing way too much for the tabs to click together. A little downward pressure on that with a screwdriver while pressing up on the console and it went back together!

I'd like to know who the designer was on that white housing. OMFG that's a complex mold. Since I work for Ford I wonder if I can track all that down...I'd like to smack the designer, and if it was a Full Service Supplier, they should be smacked too for that design. Way over complex, and way too much BS in it. No wonder the interior tooling bill for the F-Series was OMFG expensive...

My 2010 F150 platinum had the stuck sliding window problem for many years. Every now and again I would whack the mechanism behind the rear seat hoping it would “Unstuck itself” and start working again. When I used the Sliding window switch the map lights would dim a bit so I always thought the switch was good, and that power was getting to the motor. I changed out the switch today with a new one and angels started singing again as the window slid back and forth again just like new!
