It's interesting how much more emotion he showed in his early years. I still remember first hearing about him, how much his emotions seemed to overwhelm him...and then he turned into a tennis machine with nary a grunt.

@@jako77777 Federer's coach durning the beginning of his career, Peter Carter, had a car accident on his honeymoon in 2002. Never got the chance to see Federer win grandslam title. He is the one who "discover" Federer's talent, and urged him not to waste it. That is the reason why Federer went into overdrive and we got to see, 2004-2008

Even than 2007 at Rogers Cup young Novak Djokovic saved 6 set points at Federer's serve and won the match...and everything else after is a history!

He got it together only after his coach die. About 25 years old, very late for a man of his talent but he dominated for five years like no other. Only Nadal in soft court was his nemesis. And when reached 30s the rest start to catch up.

Greatest stroke maker and skilful player ever. Unfortunately due to lack of mental strength he suffered some tough losses in his career otherwise would have won 25 plus slams

He needed a coach, to work on his mental strength- I still will never understand how he lost Wimbledon 2019, to this day, I can't imagine the suffering, when he reflects on this moment, why God?

Man, as a diehard Fed Fan who also is very hurt by that loss, just gotta accept the fact that Novak was the better player mentally. It's true that Djokovic played worse in general, but you gotta be good at the intangibles too, in order to beat the best.

@@pauljohnson6019 There were so many things that could have changed. The point before, if his first serve didn't clip the top of the net, it would have been an ace; if that forehand just hit a little bit on the line, Djokovic wouldn't have gotten it and Fed would have won.
Fed just wasn't lucky that day and we just gotta accept it.
