Everyone who thinks Federer is going easy on him to let him have his moment or whatever, why would Fed do that? Fed's putting in the minimum amount of effort he needs to put in to win, because why would he smoke himself in the first match of the tournament? Later on he went up against Söderling and Djokovic and had potential match-ups with Nadal or Murray. I'm not saying Fed isn't a nice guy because by all accounts he is but he's a champion tennis player first and a nice guy second. He isn't giving Britton his moment, he's keeping himself as fresh as he can for what's coming up.

He is the one player in history who had the shots and skill to win by making winners, far more winners than opponents. So his matches are works of art painted by winners, brush strokes of his variety of shots. Watching others even the other 2 of big 3 is like watching paint dry.

Federer, like most great 1HBH champions, always "went for the lines" . It may be a somewhat low percentage shot, but when hit well, makes it to the history books (and videos). And aesthetically, Fed has been perhaps the best of them all.

the million dollar question in tennis wich upset a lot of people , is who would be the best if there wasnt such a homogenisation of surfaces making the game very one dimensional compared to before making tennis a powerbaseline show that caused serve and volley to go extinct . thats my opinion everyone is free to have their one
