    nice review nick! FWIW i (accidentally) did an actual durability test with my radiomaster boxer! in a rush to fly ahead of imminent rain i did not zip the backpack all the way up to where the transmitter sits. as i unloaded it the boxer did a serious dive into concrete from at least ~3ft! fortunately it (somehow) landed on its back and settled. after some serious expletives to the high heavens the thing (somehow) powered up like nothing happened! a testament to radiomaster’s durability! after forty years of flying (and crashing) everything RC, this is the very first time i crashed the transmitter! cheers!

    Niiiice. Radiomaster would be nuts to _not_ sell an AG01 for the Pocket. I got an OG TX12 with a 1-watt ELRS module. My AG01 Minis cost more than the radio, module _and_ batteries combined. But now, it's a Beast - a costly Beast, but worth every penny. I think I'll do the same with the Pocket [base 4-in-1, ELRS module, AG01s when available]. Enough unit sales early on should give 'em the push they need to make the gimbals. This is definitely the thing for throwing in the bag. Hmmmm. . . @@NickBurnsFPV yep true, but that radio should fill a void where peeps that could use that form factor would find it comfortable. i wonder, is the stick throw distance determined by size? could the nano gimbals have a longer stick throw? i did see someone mod a boxer recently and dropped the gimbals 7mm deeper, to get more stick throw.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  Год назад +1

      @@8BiT_fpv I can't be sure stick throw is determined by gimbal size, but it would make sense if it was. On the other side, all gimbals should go from 1000-2000 via tiny maybe 1 point increments if we can precisely position them.

Something someone who picked up Liftoff or DRL off Steam during a sale and realized it needs an RC style radio to work best. This radio and the Orqa FPV.CTRL come up. This is $20 cheaper, looks more robust, actually has an RC transmitter in it, yada yada yada, and the choice is crystal clear. Jumper T20. I played with it for an hour and I liked it a lot.
      It’s a good design.
      I didn’t like the Boxer too much and had it with the AG01s for a few months. It never fit as well as it could of. With a bunch of modifications, dropped gimbals, and switch changes it was okay, but not good enough.
      I have been designing my own radio for quite a few months and it’s actually very similar, footprint wise, to the T20, but a little more fitted to my hands.
      But stock radio wise, never liked anything as well as the Jumper T20, my friend has had his for a couple of months and is loving it.
      Maybe try a friends out, they will be more widely available soon, a few others I know just got theirs in the last week.
      Zorro wise, remove the top screen, cut the top case and put the screen from the Jumper T-lite or similar… At least 20 people have done this, there is even 3D prints.
      I personally didn’t like the Zorro enough to bother, and got rid of it too. Jumper T-Lite with the RadioMaster AG01 minis is my jam recently… until I finish my own radio design.
