    Really interested in integrating Riverside as a part of our podcast studio. Do you recommend the Pro plan or Business plan?

    • @TheStudioBusiness

      Pro would be perfectly fine starting out. We are on the Pro plan ourselves. Riverside, sponsorship aside, has been a great partner for our remote podcasts and they continue to add new features and improve their offering.

      Great video thanks. Just to clarify you have the duo connected to your computer then in riverside you use is as the mic source? Then the phone for the video…. In riverside do you just do a recording as usual but not add a guest?

    When you log into your Riverside studio, which mic do you select with the dual mic setup?

    • @TheStudioBusiness

      You would select the rodecaster as a whole. Use the usb out on that and it will allow for both to pass through.

    • @TheStudioBusiness
      @TheStudioBusiness  4 месяца назад

      Can you elaborate on your question? If we had a switcher as part of this setup, we could use that and the switching would also be done in riverside yes. Within riverside it’ll record both parties and then you can go back and edit as needed. I do not believe you can do it in real time.

    thx for the video , but how u add the sound when u use the iphone ?

    • @TheStudioBusiness
      @TheStudioBusiness  5 месяцев назад

      Within riverside you can set the CAMERA to be the iphone and the audio to come from the mixer. if you are just using an iphone only, you can set the audio to come from the iphone as well (but I would not recommend that). IF you do be sure to use Riverside's Magic Audio tool to make it better!

  • @daanothoff
    @daanothoff 3 месяца назад

    Brands need to come up with a total audio and video recording integration so there would be no need anymore for the separate audio and video recording routes. 1 device where you connect all your mic’s, headphones and camera’s to. Hit record and go! It would spit out video ISO files of every camera plus an xml file for video editing like an ATEM, and multitrack audio like a Rodecaster.

    • @TheStudioBusiness

    You can always go cheaper, but this setup does seem awesome. I want mine to be way more portable and I'm planning to use Wireless Go 2's with Interview Go handhelds, and a camera on a tripod. And maybe if it takes off, I can get another camera and then another, and travel to outdoor shooting locations for my show or in their locations so every interaction with a guest is unique.

    • @TheStudioBusiness
      @TheStudioBusiness  7 месяцев назад +1

      I think that's a good idea! Wireless go's are great and we use them for various things when we are out of the studio. If you start with one camera, you can work your way up to a second one and use that second one as your roaming camera and just alter between guests (would require an operator though)

      @@TheStudioBusiness thank you! I’m trying to decide on the camera right now. I just made a list of everything that needs to happen first before recording my first episode, and it feels much more achievable now especially with videos like yours to help.

    Does riverside only work with rode equipment?

  • @badmiddens
    @badmiddens 4 месяца назад

    To answer the title question, it is certainly not. I'd say, "a decent $1000 option." Also, I love me some Rode products, but that podmic is one of their weakest offerings. Great looking, thin sounding. I'd shift the cash around and get two Rode Procasters. Wayyyyyy better, and a great alternative to the same old SM7b sound.

    • @TheStudioBusiness
      @TheStudioBusiness  4 месяца назад

      Well to make up the extra $200 needed for the procasters, we'd need to remove the mic stands or something. What would you do with the $1000?

    • @badmiddens
      @badmiddens 4 месяца назад

      @@TheStudioBusiness cheaper micstands or booms, samson or something would be just fine. Also, it depends on how attached one is to using something as feature-loaded and sexy as the Rodecaster. For 300 bucks you can do very well with something like an Audient id14 interface.
