42lookc Im working on a 2018 and i took off the calipers before realizing i needed to do this first. This has a push start. Can anyone help me on how to put this into service mode asap? The cars in my driveway right now. Plz help.
Mr B Gause thank you! This tip actually helped me! Because I used the video to put the car in service mode, but couldn’t get it out of service mode until I read this comment😂😂 so thanks!
It's a stupid way for Ford to enable service mode, they should just have it in the menu system in my opinion. Car manufacturers like to make things complicated.
I just changed the rear brakes and rotors. I didn't know about this maintenance mode. I got the piston to go down by twisting it then using a c clamp. Then twisting it then c clamp. Until it was down. Do you know if my car will be messed up by not using maintenance mode. Wish I seen your video sooner. Subscribing now.
Once you get everything back together, put the car in maintenance mode and then take it out of maintenance mode. There is a possibility that you could get a EBS malfunction light
Any help with this I removed the brake pads before knowing about the maintenance mode and now my piston would only twist about half way down. Then I RUclips this and read about the maintenance mode but now it won’t activate, it just gives me something about brake system malfunction?
Great video. I set it to maintenance mode successfully but cannot get back to normal mode. Do you have any idea? Thanks. ruclips.net/video/79qnuWbwFyA/видео.html
There is no service mode for the front brakes you do them like you would do any other car. Maintenance mode is only for the rear electronic parking brake
Parking brake got stuck because I pulled the button 3times in a row. I could not release it with the standard procedure (brake pedal and pushing the parking brake button) . I tried the procedure to go into service mode, it never worked. Maybe because I have the stupid message saying I got the tire sensor problem (I don't have them in my winter tire)... Anyhow. The service message never turned yellow. However, after that I was able to release the brake wby pushing the brake pedal while pushing the parking brake button...
