The thing is... There aren't any issues with the engine or tranny lol ... At least not on mine. I have a 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid with 269,000+ miles, and I've never had any engine or transmission problems, whatsoever. All I've done is basic maintenance. It's the single most reliable car I've ever owned. Really, the only issues I have are quirks like the issues in this video. My backup camera image is flipped for some reason (maybe I need to replace it, there's some on eBay for $25). And my steering wheel buttons are acting up, which is possibly a clock spring issue, which is another easy/cheap fix

Buttons aren't even a problem! I hate having to screw around with a touchscreen while I'm driving. With buttons you can actually feel what you're trying to press without looking at it and taking your eyes off the road.
What year do you have. I’m definitely thinking about getting one. I’ve done some research there is an active recall for years I believe 2014-2018 but of course Ford will fix the problems for free

I actually have a 2016 Fusion with the 8 inch screen so I don’t have these issues as there are less buttons and the backup camera view is good. Also mine isn’t a hybrid and I still get 32mpg
I much prefer BUTTONS over a touchscreen!!! With buttons, I don't have to look at it before pressing a button like I do with a touchscreen! Please, BRING ALL THE BUTTONS BACK!
I have a fusion S. Basic model. The screen is small. Now I have 20/20, so the screen is fine for me. But unless you have poor vision (which means you should be wearing corrective lenses) the backup camera is fine. No issue at all with the mirror, never noticed there were a lot of buttons since they all do something. Sometimes with lower models you have buttons that don’t do anything, so maybe that’s where there are a lot. There’s probably less in more expensive models be they are built into the touchscreen. Lastly, how weird is it that’s grown man is saying virtual leaves falling off a virtual tree makes him “feel” bad. I do appreciate this review though because I love my car and since he had no legitimate issues with the car it makes me feel like I made a great decision.
I have a 2016 I love this car, only issues to put headlights on high beam, you push forward instead of pulling dimmer switch to you. also the wiper blades look weird when in motion.

Well, I have the 2018 model, and let me tell you I am totally disappointed with the car. I need a total engine replacement and have been waiting nearly three months for it to be delivered to the dealership. Engine coolant is leaking into the engine cylinders. The first dealership I took it to had it a week and didn't fix the problem. It took a second dealership to tell me that it needs a total replacement. Last time I will buy a Ford that is for sure. Looks like it is back to foreign made cars again.
Joe Franks hey Joe. Is this a common problem with the fusion? Do you have the 1.5 ecoboost? I’m interested in the fusions and am researching the engine. I currently have a 2016 Chevy malibu, and HATE the 1.5 turbo that It has. It needed a new engine also, at 39k miles! So ya I’m dumping the Chevy and never buying a Chevy again. I knew I should have never left Toyota 🤬
I have always put 91 high octane, My 2018 hybrid is half electric but the motor side runs like any ither motor, i believe it was designed for regular ole 87 but preferencewise i prefer high performance, even though i pay more the dividends should pay itself off..
@@martinuy438 Id recommend you give it regular if that’s what it’s calling for the higher the octane doesn’t mean the higher quality it just means it has a higher heat and pressure point as to when the piston is moving in and out and because of this it could cause some problems down the road from not causing the correct explosions due to higher resistance than needed for a four cylinder
