@@jamesrush5367 Yea I dont have an issue with what he does. I agree some people like/love what they do regardless of societies view on its "importance"
What I took issue with was the intention they had behind mentioning it. It was totally irrelevant to the story. The story is about a stranger running into a house to save somebody elses kids. So clearly the only reason they brought it up was to try and use it as a contrast to his actions. Which is an insult.

You know, there's something odd about this fixation on defining people by their occupations. I thought Nick was delivering pizza to them but he was off work, in the right place at the right time. That's so problematic! Same tactic used when someone hurts or gets hurt, commits a crime or is a victim of a crime-- it really further perpetuates problematic stereotypes and is why people's views are skewed when it comes to being vigilant and recognizing signs and symptoms of wayward and dangerous behavior. Seionna and Nick are heroes, period! "25-year-old" may have even been a better identifier, in a time when people will pull out their cameras, first, something like that provides hope for the next generation that these two heroic young people acted without hesitation. The family lost everything they owned, but the GoFundMe set up for them has only reached $25K out of its $100K goal as of today. On the other hand, Nick's GoFundFe has passed $500K even though his hospital bills are maybe $20K at the most. I'm not saying he owes this family anything, since he already gave them the greatest gift anyone could give someone: saving the life of their child. I'm just saying it would be the decent thing to do if he could help out this family of 6 with the difference in the money. This sudden windfall leaves him with more money than he can know what to do with, and it's still ongoing. He doesn't need the extra money but these people do. He gained everything, no permanent injuries and now he's beloved nationwide, and they lost everything but their lives. If I were him I would help them with some of the windfall from this near-tragedy.

They could have even called him stranger or passerby… when I saw the first story in a video before clicking this one I was under the impression that he was delivering pizza to that house or nearby at the time but I see here that he wasn’t even working at the time.

Centering it around him being a pizza man inadvertently turns it into "wow, this lowly pizza boy did something great". Like putting his job title first and barely mentioning his name is just a weird thing society does cause we all are more than our jobs. Did you ever notice that tons of bad things happened in the Bible and this never had any bearing on God, His power, or His existence? I don’t understand why new atheists seem to think that after 2000 years Christians have never ever been in consideration of bad things.
God is not a puppeteer and He doesn’t promise us a good life either. A good life is only promised in Heaven. God will let us die and will let terrible things happen, as is consistent with free will. Ultimately, it is up to us humans to use our free will to help prevent bad things from happening, although it’s proven time and time again that humans will constantly be responsible for all that is evil in the world. Furthermore, a fire is bad, but it should not be considered “evil”. It’s not a living thing with the capability of evil; it simply is. Just wanted to make that distinction.
Your problem here stems from a lack of understanding of God and the “why’s” surrounding Him rather than the question of His existence. If you knew God was real, would you still hold him accountable for this? And what position would you have to do so, as a mortal? Furthermore, if God is nonexistent and morality is void and meaningless, there would be no true moral difference between this guy seeing the fire and saving the children and him hypothetically seeing the fire and fleeing the scene without even reporting the incident (which is a crime, by the way).
There is plenty of evidence for the existence of God and very little logic to the idea that we could exist without Him.

Mr Nick Bostick has a calling, and it's not delivering pizzas! Someone give this man a job as a firefighter and paramedic! There's definitely something special about this guy!

This is when the planets align in a miraculous fashion! What Nick did was beyond what anyone could imagine--he ran INTO a burning house to offer help. He deserves everything--and mostly respect! Hope this amazing act of kindness and compassion kick-starts the rest of his life in surprising and wonderful ways!

Thank God that sweet baby was saved. That poor family. This is such a trauma. Even if everyone survived, losing all that is so hard.
