The family lost everything they owned, but the GoFundMe set up for them has only reached $25K out of its $100K goal as of today. On the other hand, Nick's GoFundFe has passed $500K even though his hospital bills are maybe $20K at the most. I'm not saying he owes this family anything, since he already gave them the greatest gift anyone could give someone: saving the life of their child. I'm just saying it would be the decent thing to do if he could help out this family of 6 with the difference in the money. This sudden windfall leaves him with more money than he can know what to do with, and it's still ongoing. He doesn't need the extra money but these people do. I see people getting angry about calling him a pizza man. I don’t think they’re trying to degrade him, I think they’re trying to show he was just a regular dude and anyone can be a hero with courage.
@@StraightFelon I think why I have a problem with “pizza man” is because he wasn’t being a “pizza man” at the time of the incident. If he was delivering pizza at the time then ok that makes for a headline but if he wasn’t working and just passing by, why use his profession as a label instead of his name. They could have even called him stranger or passerby… when I saw the first story in a video before clicking this one I was under the impression that he was delivering pizza to that house or nearby at the time but I see here that he wasn’t even working at the time.
@@StraightFelon I don't think they intended it to be degrading, but it still has that undertone regardless. Like they could have just said "someone who lives in the neighborhood, Nick Bostic, happened to be out on a drive when he saw the fire". Centering it around him being a pizza man inadvertently turns it into "wow, this lowly pizza boy did something great". Like putting his job title first and barely mentioning his name is just a weird thing society does cause we all are more than our jobs. Like unless he was actively delivering a pizza when he jumped out of the car, there's basically no reason to even say what his job was because it has nothing to do with the story.
"He just did what us human beings tend to do" --- ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is why people lose respect for these mannequins in mainstream media (and I'm a Liberal). 99% of humans would NOT run into a burning house to save strangers, they would call 911 and probably pull out their phones. Nick is an absolute hero and deserves the appropriate credit. They call out their daughter as a hero, and she was certainly brave, but it's one thing to escape fire and an entirely different thing to run towards the fire.
Yeah and I thought it was a little weird how the interviewers kept asking the daughter about how it felt to be a hero without also mentioning how the stranger who ran into a burning building was a hero.
Exactly, I drug a guy out of a burning Honda CRV who passed out drunk and hit a pole. The dude was like 350 lbs and once out of the car I couldn't move him and the fire was really starting to cook.....so I rolled him off the curb into a puddle 😆 and wouldn't you know it there's 3 people filming and one of them was like "that's effed up you didn't have to roll him like that. Luckily the water woke his butt up and he got far enough away. But people are helpless these days
@@GameChanger597 Definitely felt odd and misplaced… almost like the news media couldn’t give him too much credit??!? @@veemartini5374 thanks but honestly I didn't feel there was anything brave about it. It wasn't anything like running into a burning house. It was a pretty small fire at first but they can get out of control pretty quickly. Also I was kind of pissed he was drunk since I was hit by a drunk off duty cop.......still I appreciate the thanks although I was raised that it's just something you do and to be honest I've been repaid quite well because of it over the years. I stopped to change a tire for someone years ago and while it's a long story they were from a VERY wealthy family and were going to see their mother who was in the hospital. Sadly she passed away within 30 minutes of them getting there. But had they waited for AAA they wouldn't have made it and while I refused to accept anything their dad did something very generous behind my back and we're still friends years later.
What the father said was so accurate. It’s beautiful that God can bring out the greatness, strength, selflessness, and bravery of His children in times of distress and horror. I can’t imagine what was going through the father’s head-the idea that you could lose your child and not be able to do anything to prevent it. But fortunately, that was not how it went down and one man-God bless him-was compelled to save the girl.
I ponder what god would make forests and building materials for homes flammable to begin with. No offense intended, but we don't have sufficient evidence for God even existing.
@@wownewstome6123 Ah yes, good old fashioned: “If God real, why bad thing happen?”. Did you ever notice that tons of bad things happened in the Bible and this never had any bearing on God, His power, or His existence? I don’t understand why new atheists seem to think that after 2000 years Christians have never ever been in consideration of bad things. God is not a puppeteer and He doesn’t promise us a good life either. A good life is only promised in Heaven. God will let us die and will let terrible things happen, as is consistent with free will. Ultimately, it is up to us humans to use our free will to help prevent bad things from happening, although it’s proven time and time again that humans will constantly be responsible for all that is evil in the world. Furthermore, a fire is bad, but it should not be considered “evil”. It’s not a living thing with the capability of evil; it simply is. Just wanted to make that distinction. Your problem here stems from a lack of understanding of God and the “why’s” surrounding Him rather than the question of His existence. If you knew God was real, would you still hold him accountable for this? And what position would you have to do so, as a mortal? Furthermore, if God is nonexistent and morality is void and meaningless, there would be no true moral difference between this guy seeing the fire and saving the children and him hypothetically seeing the fire and fleeing the scene without even reporting the incident (which is a crime, by the way). There is plenty of evidence for the existence of God and very little logic to the idea that we could exist without Him.
@@emperorconstantinexipalaio4121 "if God is nonexistent and morality is void and meaningless" Morals would still exist. *People select their morals.* Even Christians do by selecting which brand of Christianity and which church they want. Saving or dying for your family is heroic. Saving or dying for strangers? Double heroic. They are both brave and heroes, but Nick took it to another level. Running into a fire for people you don't know, risking your life, is true super hero stuff.
First thing he said “is the baby okay” god bless that man

Mr. Nick Bostic! Earth Angel, hero! Put some RESPECT on his NAME!!! Many thanks and blessings to you everyday of your life sir!!
I got tears eyed myself watching the dad of the kids talk about finding out what Nick did to save his children. It’s one of those things where there is no amounts of “Thank You’s” you could ever say to him to thank him for what he did 😢
Nick is the literal textbook definition of the word hero❤️
What was up with that woman beside him? Zero emotion shown. Surely she's not the mother of any of those children. Weird. Her face never changed.

Hello beautiful 👋
❤️❤️
He gained everything, no permanent injuries and now he's beloved nationwide, and they lost everything but their lives. If I were him I would help them with some of the windfall from this near-tragedy.
As a parent, how do you repay someone for saving your child’s life? I can’t imagine the guilt and thankfulness that poor dad is feeling! I love seeing stories like this! This world has become one tragic event after another so it’s nice to see good people still exist! The 18 yr old is definitely a hero too!

This is an amazing human!!!
This story wasn't reported correctly because he actually saved all of them. Also, why not show his name and not pizza guy.
The first reporting is he saved all of them. Now there aren't any assumptions about what happened. The sister had already began gathering everyone, and then they saw Nick. Nick made sure they made it out the door, and went back to save kehlani.
I agree that they should say his name more. Nick!🤭💝💐🦋
Because it’s the MSM, they only job is to divide us as a nation.
A very brave young man I'm glad that everyone is doing well prayers for healing
Hello beautiful 😘
What a brave young man.
Thank you Nick Bostick for saving Kayloni’s life!!!🎶🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🕊️
Nick you are truly an angel!!!! Thank you 🙏🏾
The name is Nick Bostick. A real life hero
@@southjerseysound7340 Thank you for acting so bravely, quickly, and selflessly in that crazy moment. Those idiots filming are pathetic.
@@GameChanger597 Definitely felt odd and misplaced… almost like the news media couldn’t give him too much credit??!? I mean, I don’t even really consider her a hero, she did what she should have done, get herself and her siblings to safety. He did what he absolutely did NOT have to do, run towards a fire to risk his own life to save a stranger. He is the only true hero in this situation!
Gods timing is DIVINE thank you Nick!
That's a good person right there.
Much more than a pizza man. Not at work, saving a child’s life, still defined by what he does to pay the bills. Lovely world.
