That young and going through such a traumatic injury. Drew and Zach to connect with Alex speaks volumes of your humanity. Alex keep pushing forward, don't stop till you reach the stars.
BOTH Drew Brees and Zach Miller 2 STAND UP MEN from the NFL!
"tough times dont last brother, tough people do"
anyone get bad stomach feeling when they saw the leg extend
Yeah I thought I felt it in a way because I have sort of done that in a way but not as severe
I yelled. Loudly.
im lowkey feeling his pain.
I just swallowed my throat once it hyper extended...And I worked in orthopaedics
I legit couldn’t watch because I can perfectly imagine the vein snapping and the hyper extension that pain is incomprehensible
Much respect for Alex and his ability to come back after a devastating injury. His intestinal fortitude makes me feel that anything is possible, if you believe. 💯
The resilience of the human spirit!!!! The determination of the mind, the humbleness plus tenacity makes one great human being!!!!
His leg was side ways, man if that was me I will be crying and pain
Yeah dude the was nasty
It was probably the adrenaline
You go into shock when you get injured like that, it's pretty scary! I had it happen when I dislocated my knee because my kneecap went to the back of my leg!
@@kutie216 That's a hyper-extension.
I remember falling down while my cousin piggyback rides on me, bending my elbow the wrong way and it didnt come back correctly. Dude, it was painful af i couldnt do anything but yell something like, "eyaaaaahh" repeatedly, as if crying or anything id try to do will just add more pain somehow. I just froze in pain on the ground sounding like a dying crow.
At 3:59 when he was crying with his coach broke my heart
I've watched this so many times and each time I get the chills. This is what teammates community friendship kindness compassion is all about. So much love all around. Stay strong #9

Made my eyes water. What a great story. Wish we had more stories like this in the everyday media!!!!
It’s amazing that so many people went to be on his side. Truly amazing that people can come together to do something amazing for one person.
This story really hits home for me. It’s been 11+ years now since I’ve played any type of organized sport. My entire life Sports were my passion. They still are and even more so now. But you just push through, man. You continue to keep fighting. My feet will most likely remain paralyzed for the rest of my life on this Earth, but I don’t want any sympathy. Life is a true blessing and each and every day I wake up is the best day yet. Any time I come across stories like this it reminds me why it’s so vital to have a positive mindset. “You just can’t live in that negative way, make way for the positive day”
Alex is one badass dude! it just shows how much dedication this dude has... respect brother
Choked me up watching this story. Your an inspiration to all and a testament to the game we love. I always try to instill how much of a brotherhood football is from when i was playing to the young men i was coaching. Thank you for sharing this very much
Dude, I’ve been out of ACL surgery for 7 months (I am now playing soccer) but this made my knees weak 😭😭 I couldn’t stop crying
Nani Smalls my sister went through the same thing and it was so hard on our family. unfortunately it took a whole year for her to get back and she still has not mentally gotten 100% back to being ok. hopefully your doing better💓
Great story. God bless you alex. Youre a true inspiration. Together we can get through anything.
This is the story of a hero overcoming a difficulty about my age and he comes back and wins everyone’s heart
