My mom once said that she regretted bringing me up on such horrible foods. My nan makes very greasy fat soul food. The moment mom started giving me my own money, she let me spend it on whatever I wanted (chocolate and junkfood). She herself, also has somethingwhat of an eating disorder. I lost a lot of weight when I was 19 and then she realized that yes, I can be smaller. This whole time, she was under the assumption that I was stuck being big like her. Yeah, if she taught me how to eat healthily and exercise, I wouldn't have been fat with hypertension and body dysphoria like her and nan. Nan has hypertension, it skipped my mom and went straight to me and nobody else has it. I developed body dysphoria at a very young age. All of these things were a weird conversation, I think she feels bad about them too.

As someone who has hypertension and diabetes on both sides of my family, as well as PCOS in myself, I know the feel. My grandmother wishes she had done better with me and it makes me so sad 😔

I wish my father actually gave a crap. His brothers had nothing but sons and he wound up with a daughter. When baby cousin (a boy of course) came around he doted on the kid like he was his own son, not just a nephew; baby cousin got all new toys and wonderful expensive things, while I got hand-me-downs and secondhand toys. I probably would have had a better upbringing if I was AMAB, but as it stood I was an inconvenience for his lifestyle. He didn't want to give up his car club, video games (later computer games....he hijacked the computer Mom got ME for Christmas and put junk on it, but heaven forbid I have a 1 MB game on there!) or anything that he enjoyed prior to my birth.

I have autism and my parents regret spanking me, and my dad regrets also flipping out whenever I acted out and gave him attitude, they weren’t abusive my dad had a bit of a”listen here you little shit” kind of temper,(he never said that though lol) they admitted that they didn’t know how to handle an autistic kid. But they still understood me.

I don't know Chloe but I kinda think that Spanking is a form of physical abuse, and things like "Listen here you little shit" is more like verbal abuse. But I don't really know, I get similar treatment from my parents although I don't think I'm autistic.
Anyways, I hope you are doing well now without having to deal with the past situations

I was a D-I scholarship athlete who went on to do SF work in the military. I have decent ability and can work in a team.
My wife's big regret after seeing me coach little league with our younger kids is that she didn't insist i do it earlier. She said that when we have grandkids she's going to make sure that I'm always there to coach

You should raise them to not have HORRIBLE grammar and make titles which say “should you OF” instead of properly saying “should you HAVE”!

I bet parent of AI narrator really regrets not teaching this ignorant brat proper grammar.
      Better editing is needed.

The best I heard was my youngest saying that she was going to bring her kids up the same way I did with her. I was a workaholic but was there for them if needed. I was a single parent also.
