What I've learned from this is some siblings get along, some dont and some try to kill eachother

I ended up never having any children at all. But I'd always thought that if I did, I'd have wanted only one. And stories much like some of these ones, are among the biggest reasons why. Yes, growing up with siblings can be good for children, and yes, most humans grow up with them to this day. Bu the fact is, if something does go wrong... a child has issues, anger management or behavioral problems, etc, it can too easily and commonly be the innocent sibling who suffers and whose entire life and mental health is potentially ruined by such an unintended upbringing. A parent can't exactly choose one over the other, but sadly parents do so, just as unintentionally - sacrificing the "functional' and otherwise stable child to the other one, because what choice is there?

My sister used to be into the Backstreet Boys when she was a teen. Big time. Like posters all over her walls into them. One day a friend of mine and I snuck into her room and vandalized them with scribbles, false mustaches and stuff. She was incandescent with rage. No idea how she ever forgave me but I am glad i am not that kind of kid anymore and we get along now.

I'm really surprised none of these ended up with someone being arrested

I would never do that to someone's dog, but the last story was kind of funny I will admit.

here's a couple from my childhood, getting into a fight about whose turn it was with the math book because we both wanted to be ahead, when I was 8-9 I threw a big phonics reading book at my sister, and the binding came undone, cried like a little baby because i thought that i would never be able to learn to read because of the book breaking

The firecracker in the shoe story is hilarious.
My sister and I were rivals. When we were kids, I had gotten so mad at her, I cut her hair when she was sleeping. I got in trouble and got a spanking. I don't remember why I was mad at her, but I deserved it.

My brothers and I used to have rock fights. We used to start by beaning each other with stones from the crushed stone driveway. Until my brother smashed the windshield on my dad’s car.

My brother has always been really dramatic. Like he got a cut on his knee when he was 16 and almost passed out. Once, we were playing in the street, he must have been 13 and me 16. He fell over and was crying saying he broke his ankle. This embarrassed me for some reason and i didnt believe him. I then stood on his leg to prove to him that it wasnt broken. It was in fact, broken.

When my sister and I were in the wee single didget years, in the early stages of life were school was not our biggest concern, she decided she was going to push me (the eldest) down the top of the stairs! A couple years later she did it again. I’m fine now but it is a story we tell for the shits and giggles. I don’t think she feels bad but I was (and still) am left wondering how I made it out without a brain injury!!

My older sister, who was 12 at the time, actually put me in the dryer and turned it on. I was six. I’m pretty sure she got in trouble. I was unharmed, luckily, but a little sore.

These "unforgettable" moments makes me kind of glad I was an only child.

For me my sister flat out scared me by pretending to be a robot when me and her were kids. Now that me and her are young adults, I secretly get her sick by rubbing my spit filled hands on the soap bottle before using it to wash my hands. Surprisingly it made her sick, despite her using the same soap bottle to wash her hands… . That or her bf constantly gets sick so she gets sick whenever he’s sick.
    Karma’s a b
