      Me and my brother use a an antifog liquid from ess. You just put a drop or 2 on and rub it in and it does the job really well. We play in florida so it can get really steamy out there and it holds up. I'm sure it's easy to find online, I just use my brothers which he got a bunch while in the army, no idea on price vs say rainex though.
      Edit: I looked it up they are called op drops. They come with a lot of ess eye pro but looks like around $7 a bottle.

    I’m a sweaty man, and I’ve had bad fogging for as long I can remember. I had a lot of success swapping to a One Tigris style mesh mask and going from a plate carrier to a chest rig (lot less body heat and sweating.
    The only guaranteed solution I’ve used is the Exfog system. Played a milsim in a damp forested area with helmet mounted NVG’s and they worked great.

    I live in VT. And do a lot of snowmobiling and hands down I've tried everything and shaving cream works the best ! Try it in the bathroom mirror befor you jump into the shower and look at the mirror when your done ! Think about below freezing temperatures where condensation is at its absolutely worst , riding a snowmobile is a lot of work and you build up a lot of body heat with a helmet on your whole head in 0 degree temps
    Just buff it in with a soft microfiber cloth until clear with no streaks
    And its more inexpensive and you get more time in between applications, dont knock it before you try it....👊🏻🤠

  • @jimtomav20
    @jimtomav20 3 года назад +17

    I have found the best lower face to stop fogging is a respirator type mask with the filters removed.
    The rubber seals around your nose, stopping any breath going up into your eyewear and directs it down out of the vents.

  • @berner

    I used to go absolutely bonkers with the bloody fog always showing up in my goggles and making it virtually pointless to airsoft anymore, and "anti"-fog spray didn't do jack all.
    Then I remembered back to how I got toothpaste on my bathroom mirror when I was younger, and even after getting it off, the area that used to be pasted wouldn't fog up in the shower.
    So then I simply just squeezed out a bottle of toothpaste onto the inside and outside of my goggles, let it sit there for 24 hours and after wiping it off, the fog wasn't an issue.
    I just forget how long it took for the goggles to need another treatment. But I hear you can either use toothpaste or shaving cream instead.

  • @musician445
    @musician445 3 года назад +3

    My issue has been that I still develop droplets of sweat inside the goggles. I just bought some magnetic goggle wipes from Wide-I on amazon. I found them in another fog related airsoft video from an old video on a smaller channel. They mentioned it was invented for scuba divers. Its a piece of metal with a microfiber/felt on the inside and you place a magnet with microfiber/felt on the outside. When you grab the magnetic part on the outside and wipe it around the goggles, it brings the inside piece with it and cleans your googles. i haven't received them yet so i don't know how well it will work. But I'm excited to try it in conjunction with some "Cat Crap" on the lenses. Which i'm pretty sure is the same thing as Fog Stop, unless they just have a better recipe.

    That "fog stop" looks like it's just a certain composition of acid-free petroleum jelly which is a water repellent because water will not adhere to anything oily. Silicone-based water repellent should also work fine if it's clear enough, as does WD-40 (which was designed for the purpose, it has "water displacer" in the name). You only need a very thin film of substance on the inside of your goggles to prevent water molecules from sticking to the lenses.

      Just wanted to reach out and apologize for not answering this comment when you posted it last week, I must have missed it. FogStop reached out to me in late January/early February to do a video with their product, and this was filmed the week the video went live in May. I had plenty of time to use the product and I like it. I still use it on my Turbofans as a precaution because it's very humid in my area lately.
      If I did not come off as 100% transparent then I apologize, and that was not my intention at all. If a viewer uses the link provided in the description, I receive a small commission. FogStop did not pay for this video, but they did send me a sample of the anti fog to try. They never saw it before it was uploaded, and if I didn't like the product I wouldn't have mentioned it in the video and would have covered other anti fog options on the market.

      @@oshwaflz if they're plate mesh it's fine. Never had shrapnel in my eye and aslong as every is using decent bbs its unlikely. Actually had shrapnel in my eye with full seal goggles

      @@Seizurecow I was at a game where it happened once, although since so little of the BB can get through and the crack initiation energy has already been taken, it is more akin to getting sand blown in your eye.
      Still far safer than almost falling down stairs because your goggles fogged.

      I wonder though... bb going at 350-400 fps, strikes the mesh and shatters. I imagine a tiny shard while losing velocity could still be traveling at a pretty high speed... my guess is in the perfect storm it’s probably not going to be able to go through to your brain but I imagine it could definitely get lodged in the eyeball 👁
